Best time to go is always going to be early in the morning before the warehouse opens. I've even gone around 9am on a weekday and drove straight up to a pump without having to wait. Opening hours on the weekday says 6am but I've driven up at 5:55am and there were already people pumping gas. I love that I don't have to wait until opening, which makes me not stress about being late to work. Workers are always friendly as well, saying hi or good morning as you're filling up your tank. When gas prices are rising even in a place like Texas, it's never a good thing. Thankfully we have Costco gas to keep things slightly more affordable at the pump. This USTA location has been my go up north. Like all Costco gas stations, there are lines galore. I've never seen this place not busy, which gets especially crazy in the mornings and still has a fleet of cars even at closing. Most folks in SA are rocking SUVs and trucks, so the wait time seems longer. I've been paying between 2.49-2.65 for the summer so far. Pro Tip: Go into any line, but especially the lane where it pumps from the right side (most vehicles pump on the left side). Most folks don't realize the nozzle will stretch around any size car. If there is a shorter line anywhere, go for it. There is also an attendant but they are usually hiding be out in their AC filled mini station. My love affair with Costco gas is well documented with my friends and family. They tease me since I love to take a picture everytime I fill up at Costco documenting the line (or lack of one if I'm lucky). I travel across the country several times a year by car and try to exclusively use Costco gas. The value can be considerable, sometimes as much as .60 cents per gallon cheaper. Especially if you have a vehicle that requires premium gasoline the savings can really add up. Bottom line Costco will save you money when it's time to fill up. Costco gas is always a steal compared to nearby gas station pricing. It is open earlier than the Costco itself, and this is when the lines for each gas pump are minimal. At max, you'll be waiting 5 minutes. Otherwise, there will likely be a bit of a wait during Costco operating hours. Costco gas is open weekdays 6am-9pm and 7am-7pm on weekends. So if you're running early, stop by the gas station first and then wait for Costco to open its doors. read more

This place really does get busy and lines are really long unless you go early in the morning or later in the evening after the warehouse has closed. I usually stop in between 6:30a and 7:30a and am able to pull right up to a pump with no wait, so it's really no big deal. They are usually 5 to 10 cents cheaper than the two gas stations near them. At the time this article went to press, Costco was 7 cents cheaper than each of those gas stations. This means you would save $1.40 on 20 gallons of gas. During the non-peak times, this is worth it, but if you try to stop in during the afternoon on almost any day of the week, you really need to question if it is worth your time to save $1.40. The pumps ALWAYS work, and the attendants are friendly. And as another reviewer mentioned, the gas hoses are long enough to reach all the way around to the other side of the car, so don't wait in line for a pump that lines up with the right side or left side of your car's tank. Special note on the hours - the gas station's hours are different than the warehouse hours. I have reported this to Yelp HQ twice and although they said they have made corrections to the business page, they have not. This place is conveniently located just off of I 10, which makes it easy for me to stop here on the way to work. There's sometimes a line early in the morning but it is worth the wait as these prices tend to be the lowest in town. There's always an attendant on site and very often he or she can be seen walking around cleaning the pumps or 10 into the facility. read more

Between the two Costcos around us, this is the only one that has a gas station. It's easy to get to and doesn't seem to get busy (we usually shop at Costco in the morning), but there is a gas station right across the street from this Costco. They have pretty good prices and it's easy to get in and get out (whether you're there just to get gas or if you need to go shopping at Costco). They do have a handful of stations with pumps on both sides. Like other Costcos the pump stretches so that you can park at whichever station and get gas in your car without worrying about parking your car on the correct side. read more

Don't let the lines fool you, the pumps are fast it's the humans working the pumps that can make the lines long. Gas is priced competitively and don't choose your line based on which side your gas tanks on the pumps are created to stretch. read more

The gas at Costco gas station is the best I've had it she's a $.25-$.50 less per gallon. The lien text you next or seven minutes but it's usually always worth it. On my tank a gas it's eight dollars but I save.Great service and always friendly read more
