Absolutely garbage wait here out of all the Costco's I've been to in the OC but the gas prices here are actually really good. The line only has 2 pumps at a time instead of the usual 3 that I see elsewhere but you do save quite a bit in gas here. Now the question whether waiting 15 more minutes to save a few dollars is worth up to you. For me I'll only do it if it's morning and people aren't coming home. Still, it's around $0.20-$0.50 per gallon less than in the others farther south. read more

This is place is fair actually; when there is no traffic. However, I do avoid going here any time when it's busy because the lines cane be at least 7-8 cars long on each line (10 lines i'm guessing). I guess that's true with most Costco Gas stations during peak times. I wouldn't say the lines move fast, but it's efficient enough and the attendants are usually pretty nice. TIP: if you want to avoid the lines then get here early. Gas opens up at 6am and around 11-12 oclock the lines start building up. Happy fueling! read more

I've been here a few times since purchasing my membership. Definitely worth the wait!! You get your money's worth probably after 5 gas fill ups it's so great! Everything moves in a timely manner, so be prepared to wait more than 10 minutes. They recommend to have your cards ready so the flow of traffic can be smooth. I personally don't mind waiting. My job requires me to drive around a lot and gas can be quite costly. Having a hybrid sure helps, but I still find myself getting gas about twice a week. Getting costco gas is much cheaper than getting gas anywhere else. This costco gas station is relatively convenient to me so I find myself coming back here often. The downside to this location is that they have less lanes than other costco gas stations. The flow of traffic is definitely not the most optimal either, but people still come back since the gas here is so affordable. They open as early as 5:30am on weekdays and 6:00am on the weekends so you should try to get gas early in the morning before they get busy. Sundays afternoons/evenings are probably the worst days to get gas with everyone filling up before the workweek begins. read more

Costco can be a mad house. This also applies to its food court and gasoline station. Costco members will flock from all around to line up in crazy long lines just to get cheaper gas. And I admit, I'm one of those Costco members! Gas typically is 10 cents cheaper at Costco as compared to the other competitive gasoline brands nearby. Based on my analysis, Costco's gas prices are roughly the same price as cash price at the ARCO stations nearby, but still cheaper than the cash prices of the Shell, 76, and Chevron stations nearby. The best times (as many have mentioned) are early mornings or late evenings (30 min before closing). I have made the unfortunate mistake of coming here during dinner time (~6PM) as well as on weekends (noon time) and have had to wait 15-20 minutes+ just to fill my gas tank. Not sure how much gas I wasted from waiting in those long lines! My favorite time to come is around 8-9PM, after I finish working and/or eating dinner and when there aren't too many cars getting gas! Overall, Costco's products are a great value -- from its wholesale items, food court, and their gasoline. According to Costco's website, the next nearest Costco Gas is 7.4 miles away in La Habra. Why do I cite all this statistical information? It gets REALLY REALLY REALLY BUSY at this Costco Gas station! Like as early as 9 AM on a weekday, don't expect to breeze right into the gas station and breeze right out. Yet, I give this place 4 stars instead of a 3 because the low gas price makes the wait worth it. And the location of this gas station gives you close proximity to an In N Out, a car wash, several restaurants and grocery stores, and of course the Costco warehouse of Fullerton. Not really much else to say here, but just make sure you have your Costco membership card out when it is your time to fill up for gas. Not sure what's with the negative reviews for this Costco gas station. Don't know what they all expect! All Costco gas stations have long lines and they aren't exactly set up to have them. If all these complainers don't like it, go to a any gas station out there and shut their trap!!! These employees have to deal with the entitled assholes on a regular basis, and with a smile. With quality gas & one of the lowest Costco prices in OC usually, expect a long line at any hour of the day. Besides the bang for my buck that I get here, one big thing I do like about this specific location are the 2 entrances: one for if you're coming from Harbor Blvd to cut all the chaos in the plaza & the other coming from the actual parking lot. What I don't like is because it is much smaller than most Costco gasolines, rather than the usual 3 pumps per lane, there's only 2 in each. So that obviously defeats the purpose of the green/red gas pump signals to notify of use of pumps or not in this location, which I actually really like in other ones to keep me on my toes. A perfect example is the huge truck that was in front of me today that blocked my ability to see that the first pump was available that I only realized once he left. Sometimes, it really is the little things lol nonetheless, price beats all & don't forget, patience is a virtue!! read more

The only negative thing about gas at Costco is the obvious - the lines. I have only been to one gas station at Costco and gone straight up to a pump, and it was on a local holiday at an awkward time. Good thing is the pumps are quick so the gas pumps pretty quickly, but be prepared to wait a solid 10 minutes - easy. The gas is usually always cheaper than nearby stations, sometimes as much as 30 cents, which adds up. For those of you that don't know, you need a Costco card to purchase gas at the gas station. They open earlier than the store, usually around 5:30 or 6 AM, and stay open later than the store, so these are the prime times to pump! You know you haven't been anywhere new to eat when you're reviewing gas stations. Since my car requires 91 Octane I truly appreciate this gas station. The Premium here is cheaper than regular at most gas stations. Lines aren't too bad either compared to other Costco's I've been too. There's one pump that nobody ever seems to use.... never has a line. I'll keep that one a secret though. Doesn't really matter which side of your vehicle the tank is because these pumps have so much slack they'll reach to the other side of your vehicle no problem. The End read more

Worst Costco experience! The white gentleman directing traffic yelled at me for cutting in line but I'm sure it was meant for the white man in front of me. Regardless he has no business yelling at anyone the way he yelled at me. My window was down and my kids were in the car with me. So embarrassed for Costco but I will NEVER come to this Costco I'll drive to Garden Grove from now on. He was more than likely racist or sexist or both. Gas is better from Costco! I do try to avoid it when the lines are ginormous but it's worth the wait if you're not in a hurry. I suggest coming at the off peak hours: around opening hours, after lunch rush & near closing. Do as I say not as I do. The 3 stars go to just the price of gas alone. It's always gonna be 10 to 15 cents cheaper than all the other regular gas stations. Since im from Las Vegas, the gas there is even cheaper by 30 cents more. I always go to this location every time before I head back to Vegas since I stay with family only a few exits away off the 91. Since gas is so damn expensive in Socal, I think everybody went and got a membership just for the gas alone. Design wise where this gas station is situated is horrendous. You not only have cars coming from the parking lot, but you also have cars coming from the busy street of Harbor Blvd. On most days during peak hours, traffic gets really backed up and you have to wait a significant amount of time. I swear I burn at least a quarter gallon just waiting to fuel up. Remember that the pumps only take American Express and Debit cards only. In closing, im glad I made the move to Vegas, because the gas is cheaper, there is no traffic, and all the Costco Gas Stations don't get backed up this bad because of how the layout has been designed with a lot of room in mind. I waited out on Harbor for over a 1/2 hour to get into the gas pumps. They only allow 3 pumps from the street out of 8. So the best bet is to go off a lemon coming in the back that the way of the cosco not off of Harbor Blvd. Do not be in a hurry because if you're on that Main Street you're going to take a long time. Since the gas is a lot cheaper than other gas stations, everyone wants gas at Costco. I don't know if the 1/2 hour wait is worth it. Even at a minimum wage earning at 14$ and hour in California, that is a $7.00 in lost opportunities and much more for the average or median wage earner in Southern California. NOTHING BEATS COSTCO GAS PRICES!! Costco Gas is always at least 10cents cheaper than the cheapest gas station that you can find. The workers are always super friendly, smiling, asking you how you are doing, etc. Also, I like that they clearly post the hours they are operating on each gas machine so you never have to ask the workers. Lastly, they also tell you way in advanced if the gas station will be closed on certain holidays or for any extended period of time. It's best if you enter the gas area from Harbor instead of going through the complex area and then going to the gas area. TIP! People don't usually go ALL the way to the right side, so that line is kinda shorter than most of the other lines. DON'T be the person that blocks the entrance by waiting for that station when there are other lines. read more

Lines take forever. The gentleman who is supposed to help people at the pumps wouldn't help this older man who was struggling with the pump. I put my car in park and got out to help the man in front of me, all while the attendant stood there. I know he saw us, because when I got back to my car and pulled up to the pump, he said, "Thank you for helping that old man". The customer service is no something that you would usually see at a Costco. Other than that, the rating is a three stars, instead of two, only because the gas is significantly cheaper here than your run of the mill gas station (Chevron, Arco, Shell, etc.) Another bonus of the Costco gas pumps is that the pumps stretch to the other side of the car, so you don't have to worry about pulling up on the correct side of the pump! read more
