This is a good place to get gas, if you are a Costco member. The upgrade completed a couple years ago works well. There are still busy times with lines but you can generally finish either less time. Long lines are common here on weekdays after work and weekends. I came a little past for today (Sunday), but the line I was in went pretty quick. Prices are always better here than any place else. I've been to other Costcos with larger spaces for gas filling stations and this is one of the smallest. There's no chance for them to expand this with Norton taking over the whole area. I used to work for Norton and I'm glad they're making themselves more accessible to people in the East end. Still, this side of town is going to be busier now and I'm sure the lines at Costco gas will get longer along with it. read more

Whatever you do, don't leave your vehicle idling while fueling. It's ok that 50 other cars are idling all around you while you're fueling as they won't be a contributing factor to the Hollywood style explosion that can occur if you leave yours idling. The gas station attendant is pretty good at enforcing this rule and spreading kitty litter on the areas where anxious fuelers dispensed $.50 of gas on the ground since they got such a good deal on it! They even tell you when it will be closed--and then don't do what they said and close it earlier instead. Rude attendants. There's not much to review about Costco Gas that's not already been said, except I too am a fan of "everything Costco", including their gas. This location also experiences long lines, at times. Their prices are great, along with good gas. An attendant is always on duty. The area is always clean. The line usually moves at a good pace when one exist. It's easy access coming in and going out, whether bulk shopping is included in your trip or you're simply stopping for a fill-up. Construction is still going on next door at Norton's, which doesn't seem to impede the incoming/outgoing Costco traffic. read more

Well I don't usually review gas stations, but I'll made a quick exception. Costco Gas is consistently one of the lower prices in the area, and seems to follow the quality that the Costco Warehouse offers. I find that Costco Gas is generally 10-25+ cents lower than the normal gas prices in the area city. Two value added features for Costco Gas, which I wish everyone would implement, are the additional lanes and the longer, retractable gas hoses. These allow for the line to move quickly on a busy day. Also, you don't have to reposition your vehicle, since the hose will reach the opposite side of any vehicle. If Costco was just a little closer to me, I would never go anywhere else to fill up. The best place to fill in premium gas at a good price! Of course it gets crowded during busy hours but it's worth a few minutes' wait. Forgot which side your fuel tank is on? No problem. The pump tubes are long enough for either side. I always stop here for gas after Costco trips. read more

I pulled in to get some gas this afternoon. I pushed 87 octane, took the hose, put the nozzle into my gas tank and pressed the lever. Gas went into the tank until it was full. The gas hose clicked off, and the meter stopped running. I then slowly removed the nozzle and hose from the gas tank. The nozzle then surged out an enormous, forceful flow of gasoline that was uncontrollable. I held it for a few seconds thinking it will shut off at any moment but it didn't, it kept going. I didn't want to put it down bc I feared it would catch fire. But I needed to go get help, so I finally put it down and called for help. While panicked, I tell him that oil is gushing out everywhere. The guy slowly walks over and yells, "Shit! That's not oil, it's gasoline"! And starts cleaning the area and tells me to move my car. I move my car and ask him if he needs my help. He says no. I grab some paper towels to wipe off the slippage over my tank, shoes and hands, which were soaked in "GASOLINE". I then ask him if he thinks it's safe for me to drive my car. He mutters, "yes" with such annoyance. Not only was I scared but I was covered in gasoline. I'm assuming the pump malfunctioned. This issue needs to be resolved to prevent future accidents. I would also appreciate it if Costco could hire attendants who weren't illiterate assholes. Gasoline is made from crude oil, genius! read more
