    Usually lowest gas in the area besides Costco. Best priced Petro in Woodbridge for sure!read more

    Tips: - Collect Petro-Points here…read more - The gas pump that I used was slow fuelling my car. When I'm in this part of Vaughan, I typically fuel at the Pioneer gas station diagonally across from this Petro-Canada gas station. Yesterday, I was travelling eastbound along Highway 7. It made sense to make a right turn into this gas station to fuel my car. It seemed popular that all cars with fuel caps on the left side of their vehicles were all facing the convenience store. I followed suit by pulling next to a gas pump that also had diesel fuel. During these times where gas prices are high, I am fortunate that I have accumulated enough Petro-Points to redeem them towards fuel savings cards. I inserted my Petro-Points card, followed by my five-cents-off-each-litre fuel savings card, and then paid with my credit card. The gas pump that I used was exceptionally slow fuelling my vehicle. It took a while to kick-start it, and then it was slow starting up. I spent longer than expected fuelling, to the point where the guy behind me waiting for diesel (I'm guessing) became impatient and left. At least I could fuel hands-free, so it wasn't as painful as it could have been. The garbage bin behind this gas pump was full. I luckily had to throw out a paper wrapper that I took off a paper straw, so that fit! I got my receipt after my car was done fuelling. I then headed into the convenience store to check it out. There was a guy restocking drinks in the fridge. There were boxes everywhere. I actually had to move a cardboard box to get to the Canada Dry zero-sugar strawberry lemonade drinks. Two of them were going for $5. I got a nice woman at the counter. It took a couple of tries to get my Petro-Points card to scan. I then tapped my credit card to pay for my drinks. Done! I thanked the woman and left with my drinks. I had one when I got home. I put them in an insulated bag and the drink that I consumed was still cold. I had a good experience. I may need to try a different gas pump to determine if the fuel flows faster or if slow is the norm here. (230)

    I have complained several times about the cashier, an Asian lady, whose English is so poor she is…read moreapparently incapable of taking my burger order. I ask for heavy pickle and heavy onion ONLY with cheese and bacon but she keeps ignoring my instructions and they smother the burger with ketchup mayonnaise tomato and lettuce as well and don't give me extra pickles and onions. I had to take back my order for the 4th time today only to have her cry out again that I was unclear and say, "What means heavy pickle and onion?" Lady, if you still don't know what I mean, not "what means" after 4 times it's time you took an ESL class as well as being trained to listen more carefully to client orders. I'm fed up with the service at A & W. Last time I came here, I tried A& W's new limited time special "peppered bacon burger" for the first time yesterday at the A & W outlet in the Petro Canada convenience store at Avenue Rd and Eglinton, where I come for lunch and snacks about once a month. The new burger was supposed to have peppered bacon, grilled onion, roasted garlic, and chili aioli. I knew I would love the flavours as described, but unfortunately, there wasn't enough of them to change the taste of the bacon cheeseburger in any appreciable way. If A& W could only afford to add their toppings and flavourings with an eye dropper, why bother to pretend that they were offering something new? There's more flavouring in the free ketchup packages they give away that I don't want, but that they force on me anyway, than of peppering, garlic or chili ;_; There's grilled onion in it somewhere? WHAT onion? What made the situation a little more aggravating is that their cashier, who's there every day, still doesn't understand English very well. She took my order and asked if I wanted "sauce." Thinking that she was referring to the onion/garlic/chili aioli special topping, I said YES! But she wasn't. I should have known better. She meant, did I want mustard, ketchup or mayonnaise? Lady, these are all separate toppings, they are NOT all one topping called "SAUCE." They are not "special sauce" either, which is not a topping offered by A & W anyway. She did remember, I'll give her credit for this, just in time to stop the mustard, ketchup and mayo from being slathered on my burger (GAG!), that I usually just have heavy pickle and heavy onion on my bacon cheeseburger. I like to actually taste the burger, not the other sugary icky stuff. So the cashier then told me off for confusing her! If only she had asked, Do you want mustard, ketchup or mayonnaise? Instead of Do you want SAUCE?, we wouldn't have had this misunderstanding. This cashier constantly misunderstands me, because as a burger lover, I actually have the nerve to want to "have it your way" and she really HATES that. In conclusion, A & W need not have bothered to introduce a new limited time burger topping, cause I couldn't taste it at all. What you're looking for is limited time, not limited taste, A & W. And unfortunately, the confusion about the "SAUCE" just led to yet another unpleasant encounter with this cashier, who still doesn't speak English very well after months and months on the job. Also, she is quite bad tempered and obviously hates her job. I hate to call her out like this, but I've had enough of her attitude. I honestly like A & W burgers, especially the Uncle Burgers, which taste good enough on their own not to be drowned in mustard, mayo or ketchup, and frankly, I would have really enjoyed trying the Peppered Bacon Burger if it was anything like it was advertised to be. This cashier though often spoils my enjoyment of their burgers, by refusing to communicate clearly. It appears communication isn't in her job description ;_;
