Baxter Costco is by far the best. The staff is wonderful. Don't forget to get gas also. Best price in town.

Made a stop here on Super Bowl Sunday so you know how crazy it was ! We needed a few things for the game and found our items easily. Costco is great at samples and then knowing you have to have it! It was fairly busy but they had plenty of registers open and lots of friendly staff to help. We also made a stop at the food counter and as always, the pizza was great and such a great price! The membership price is worth every penny. Def recommend! read more

Women working self checkout at 12:30 PM on Friday May 29th was RUDE. Trying to move out of the way to make it easier for people to get by and got yelled at cause we weren't in the "correct" spot and after this we were treated like we were complete idiots. Ringing up things in the cart not saying what wasn't rung up so we didn't know what was left to scan and when we asked her what she didn't scan she talked to me like I should have known what she was scanning? Why are the hand held scanners gone? what is the point of self checkout? She shouldn't be working directly with guests with that kind of attitude. read more

The store pharmacy and assistant general manager are rude and bigoted. They selectively enforce policies based on their personal biases and denied accountability nor reprimanded their pos employees. The store is the "Deliverance" Costco. *dueling banjos plays in bachground* Also, the assistant general manager escalated a verbal with my husband on the phone trying to find a resolution, and his subordinate as well as member services refused to address this. ("We're 'sorry'....but/aka buck doesn't stop with [insert their dept]) I was a member with my family for 12 years but I'm done now. I didnt want anything BUT for those employees and their toxic attitudes addressed. But that was 'too much' apparently. read more

I'm only here for the $1.50 hot dog and drink combo....just kidding. The selection of products at Costco is UNREAL. You can find basically anything, in bulk! Their bakery has some great stuff, make sure to stroll through and toss some of those muffins into your cart. Checkout is quick, and lines move fast here. Move with the pack and if you need help finding anything, the staff here is always friendly. read more

I was in their first customers at this location when they opened. I stopped by here one day before the Fourth of July to check how things have been. The place was clean and look like day one. Customer service was friendly as they were many people coming from the Twin Cities for the festivities. There it ample parking. Typical Costco layout. read more

This is a good Costco, clean and well ran. The team here is on parr with what Costco expects out of its team based only my many years of experience being a Costco customer. This is a bit of a drive for me to come in and shop but I make the trip every now and then without complaint. The aisles/shelves are well organized and well stocked, they really do a top notch job keeping things in order. read more

Why are they so mean? I love Costco, but the folks in Baxter can be so rude. I asked the cashier how her day was and she gave me a look and said she was "very busy" I brought some cloth bags to put items in and she loudly exclaimed to the person putting things in the cart that she knows how "difficult" the bags can be. I apologized profusely and said that they could forget them. She kept snapping orders at me with a tight smile and I did my best to make sure I complied so as not to disgust her further with my presence. Really? This Costco is clean and laid out real well. Costco's in general are the best stores with the best prices. It's annoying that the liquor is in a different section but that's the state of Minnesota's fault. Also the shoppers are all slow but that's a Minnesota thing too. We moved here from Southern California and were grateful for one store that was very close to identical to our normal California experience. I sympathize with the reviewer who complained about the cashier who serviced her with evidence of that cashier's stress, because we do still encounter examples of the ways the "natives" react negatively to those of us from large urban areas -- but Costco Baxter is mostly full of awesomely friendly and helpful employees! We tried out this Costco for the first time last night. The store is beautiful, new, and clean. All the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. One of the employees mentioned how much he enjoyed working there where he was "treated like a person". (guess he had had some other bad work experience) We went through the store on a visitor pass, price comparing quite a few items we regularly buy. We decided the savings were there on enough items that we would try a one year membership. We decide this time next year if we really felt the savings were worth the membership costs. We did decide to try the "executive membership" and it is supposed to earn us cash back. We'll see how that goes, as well. We also got a monster dipped ice cream bar rolled in almonds for only $1.50 at the food place. It was so large, I couldn't finish it! My husband got a delicious and large cup of chocolate frozen yogurt for $1.50, as well. Delicious! Samples were fun, as always. Overall, we were very pleased with our experience at Costco. read more

Today my 21 year old son and 15 year old son parked in a handicapped parking spot at the Costco in Baxter and before they could get our disabled son out of the car, an employee of Costco accused them of parking in the spot with someone else's handicapped parking permit. Once the employee was made aware of our son with disabilities, she made no apology and walked off. This is terrible customer service and very disrespectful of a family with a child with a disability. Is this really the kind of image Costco wants to portray? read more

I really, really like Costco in Baxter. I've been to others and this one is the best I've seen. The employees are very helpful and they make you feel welcome in the store. Out at the gas station they make you feel like they have time to chat with you and are there if you need anything at all. I try to only shop at stores where the employees are friendly, because I assume they are happy there and also that management makes customer service a priority. It costs very little to make your customers feel welcome and Costco does this well. read more
