The store mainly attracts those who own businesses as items are usually sold in bulks, hence you have to become a member which requires certain eligibility. Prices do not include VAT until you reach the checkout so this is something to be wary of. However, it is a great store that you could probably spend a good few hours browsing. Prices in general are affordable and not overly expensive. The location in Liverpool is rather in an isolated position with it being in an industrial estate and away from the main road. Most people have to have a car to use this store which makes sense when you're buying products in bulk form!

When I heard CostCo had opened a few branches in the UK, I nearly lost it ! It brought back…read morememories of the USA .. Sweet sweet memories ! CostCo is a large retail store selling items mostly in bulk from toothpaste, drinks, crisp, cereal to singular items such as perfumes/colognes, clothes, TV, jewellery etc. If you want to waste money, go to CostCo! I went to the one in Derby and although it had many items and it was a reasonably humongous store, it's nothing compared to the USA especially the free samples! There is also a Pizza Parlour where one can have freshly made pizza made by CostCo staff. I've heard they're good but never tried any so when you do , let me know! There are too many good things to say about CostCo but that'll fill a few pages. However, the negative is that it's members only and one has to be one of the following as far as I can remember : Occupation: Bank/Finance Education Local government / police force / fire and rescue service Civil service / armed forces Post office Medical health service such as the NHS Airline Insurance Qualified as : Certified or chartered Accountant Doctors / opticians / dentist / pharmacist Chartered architect Chartered engineer / civil etc Chartered surveyor Individual membership costs around £30 including VAT whilst Trade costs £24 a year. The CostCo Gold card would be double the prices at a slight discount. Note: * Be wary of the VAT as it's not included in the prices however, the total sum is always summarised near the product. * The owner and primary user of the membership card can take two people in with them when shopping at a time. If it's children, they have to be under 16 and can go in as two pairs.

What's more, if you're a raging foodie like me and LOVE eastern cuisine, the place is choc-a-bloc with herbs and spices you won't find anywhere else. Believe me, I've tried! Much like Tesco, they also have a huge frozen food/ refrigerated section where you can buy everything from all sorts of fish and meat to cakes and ice cream (LOTS of ice cream!) My fav section is the savoury and sweet section where they have a huge selection of different types of biscuits and snacks that'll make you the envy of all your friends at a dinner party! The membership is even valid internationally at all their worldwide locations! Perfect if you love buying in bulk and having a cheap bite to eat afterward as the hot food is delicious and an amazing value (see photos). Love Costco and respect their business practices. Usually, food is sold in bulk as it is a wholesaler so it is ideal for business buyers. You have to be a member of a business to benefit from Costco's affordable prices but don't forget to add on the VAT which they don't include until the end when you reach checkout. All in all, it is a unique store that you won't find in many places. A lot of consumers rely on Costco and it deserves full credit for its quality products. After a tired shop, you can enjoy a hot meal of hot dogs or pizzas at their little self-service restaurant which serves a variety of hot and soft drinks too. By the way, cold drinks can be topped up free of charge which is cool!
