After pulling the pump it determined it was shot. Don called for the help of Riley and they were able to locate a pump at Webb and picked it up. Got it hooked up but needed to return the briefly next morning at 8 AM for an electrical hook up. I would like to repeat this was all done at below 0 temps. The first one they contacted wanted more than the cost of the water heater saying it would take at least 2 men to uninstall and take out of the basement to replace a sensor. After contacting another plumber who wouldn't return phone calls, Rheem contacted Decamp Plumbing and they called me the same day and said they could be here the following day. They arrived and within 2 hrs the part had been replaced without ever having to uninstall the hot water heater. The gentleman who showed up immediately first asked if I would like him to wear a mask, and when I said yes he went back to his truck and got the mask. I will definitely be using their services again. Not only did they do a great job, but they were communicative! Nothing is worse than leaving multiple messages for a contractor who says he can do the job and they never respond. I'm happy your super busy, but let me know and I'll find someone else who can handle the emergency instead of silence. I hired him to turn my water back on after having the pipes drained for winter, as I do every season. He also flipped the switches to turn power back on for my dehumidifier, sump pump and furnace, a 5 minute job that we usually do ourselves. However, when I received the bill, I was Blindsided!He was on site less than 1 & 1/2 hrs and charged me an additional 2 & 1/2 hrs labor at $98/ hr. for travel time. He did have to run and pick up a filter, and return to screw it on. I figured that he would charge me for travel. Bellows Falls and Westminster West are only 15 minutes apart. Scott charged me an additional 2 and 1/2 hrs labor at $98/hr. When I contacted him, thinking that he had made a mistake, he responded with, "it is what it is". I charged you from when I left, until I returned. I am happy to pay my way, but I'm not entertained by being taken advantage of. If you looking for someone to mistreat, take advantage and over charge you, you've got the right guy. I would recommend that you stay as far away from Scott Harrington and his business as possible.
