I hired him to turn my water back on after having the pipes drained for winter, as I do every season. He also flipped the switches to turn power back on for my dehumidifier, sump pump and furnace, a 5 minute job that we usually do ourselves. However, when I received the bill, I was Blindsided!He was on site less than 1 & 1/2 hrs and charged me an additional 2 & 1/2 hrs labor at $98/ hr. for travel time. He did have to run and pick up a filter, and return to screw it on. I figured that he would charge me for travel. Bellows Falls and Westminster West are only 15 minutes apart. Scott charged me an additional 2 and 1/2 hrs labor at $98/hr. When I contacted him, thinking that he had made a mistake, he responded with, "it is what it is". I charged you from when I left, until I returned. I am happy to pay my way, but I'm not entertained by being taken advantage of. If you looking for someone to mistreat, take advantage and over charge you, you've got the right guy. I would recommend that you stay as far away from Scott Harrington and his business as possible.
