The Cottage Cafe is part of the Seamus Ennis Cultural Centre (same cottage). It is open daily from 10am - 5pm and when there is an evening event on they're open until 10pm.
So especially if you're driving up from Dublin it's great to come early, have a lovely dinner (or lunch depending on your event) and maybe a glass of wine or just a sandwich, salad, cake or scone to relax in their cosy restaurant.
I did this twice so far when I had an evening event in the Centre on. This time I wanted to have a light dinner so I went for a salad with (cold) chicken. The salad was coleslaw and a mixed salad. Both very tasty. Same goes for the chicken and the brown bread that came with it. And for € 6.90 definitely good value.
So the staff is very friendly and flexible to adapt you your needs.
And I plan to go again to the Cafe - and even without going to an event in the Centre, just to relax in the cafe which is decorated cosy and with much attention to detail. read more
