I came to look for a father's day card and as it is quite close to the day in question, they have a lot of associated bits and bobs on display. I was spoilt for choice over which card to buy and so I purchased two, so I could make my mind up at home and save the other one till next year! The lady that served me was friendly and asked me if I needed any assistance when I was looking around. I noticed that they can arrange party balloons for you, which is quite a handy service to know about. The prices are fairly moderate in here too.

I like to give some lovely cards to people I know will enjoy receiving a nice card or for occasions that means the card will be kept up - birth of a child. The range of cards is wonderful and the quality the best around. The staff are friendly and helpful and have on a few occasions opened up drawers to look for a card I wanted or to offer me some more choices. The only problem I have ever had with the store is when I have purchased a few items from in a sale and for some reason on three occasions the deduction has not come off at the till and the cashier has had to go and check the prices - this has stopped me from buying sale items now unless they are something I really want.

Usually i'm busy analysing the pieces to figure out how it was made and can i do it too. Everything is beautifully displayed and even when window-shopping it's easy to spy something to catch your eye at the back of the shop. If you are looking for something hand made and a contemporary piece of jewellery or craft then it's well worth a look in here. There are regular bi-monthly exhibitions and with the gallery showcasing a range of artists work there is always something new to admire.

She is so welcoming and really informative and will help you with any indecisions about jewellery buying! As well as displaying artists work from around the country, she also designs and makes her own silver ware. She has a small workshop upstairs in the shop itself, so it can be fun to watch her creativity take shape. I have bought many items of jewellery as gifts and for myself(!) She caters for a wide range of tastes. Also, she sells cards, scarves and small items of porcelain.

There's always a great card selection too, and I've never been stuck to find the right one. The store itself is very homely, rustic and warms the cockles of your heart. Especially the staff, who are very inviting and chatty. Lisa's is also great to purchase wrapping paper and other tools to make your presents look prettier. I also find that products sold here are much cheaper than most chain card shops. One thing I will say is that the size of the shop is not ideal. It's fine if there are only a couple of people browsing the shelves, but if a hoard of people suddenly turn up, you find yourself waiting quite sometime to get to the card section that you need.
