Against my better judgment I ordered from QVC Cottage Garden Farms trio of live dwarf lavender plants. They were very pricey but I took a chance because I liked the idea of being able to grow lavender in my area in pots. Also because there was a 1 year warranty I thought it was worth the risk. Well sure enough the plants failed. Prior to the end of the warranty period I emailed Cottage Farms with proof of purchase and described the issue. Within a few days I received a response indicating a replacement would be sent after processing. Well that was about 6 weeks ago. I have sent 2 or 3 follow up emails asking for a timeframe for when I will receive the replacement. Each time the response is vague and states they cannot give me an indication of when it will be shipped but I will receive a notification when it ships. Today the response included a statement that processing takes 10-15 days. Well it has been 6 weeks and it is Springtime, which means there should be no objective reason not to ship the replacement. For this reason, I will never again order from this company and do not recommend them. It is also interesting to note that when I searched their website I do not see any dwarf lavender plants for sale. So, buyer beware. At this point, I doubt I will ever receive the replacement which will mean that the company does not honor their written warranty. Shameful. read more

Be sure to read the return policy. "Present within 7 days of purchase for SAME DAY IN STORE CREDIT". I live in the Milwaukee area and we have a summer place in Waupaca. In previous years I would bring our company to Cottage Garden Farm but have now encouraged them to shop downtown Waupaca or the shops in King. I don't care for the rude attitude that has been present since the very beginning. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. We just drove an hour (from Appleton) with our 4 year old and 10 week old to do a bit of shopping. We went in the first building and when we came out an employee asked rudely if we saw the sign that says "no strollers today." We hadn't. He then proceeded to imply we were people from last year who had apparently tried to visit with a stroller (we are new to the state). As we were packing back into the car another gentleman who was pulling out said he's a local and they're known for being very rude. If they don't allow strollers they should probably make that statement prominently on their website. Not pleased we wasted our afternoon to be treated so rudely. And from what we saw it's mostly tacky home stuff, Home Goods has better. read more

Very cute items but poor customer service. I am not from around the area and was in town for the day. I purchased a $40 picture/sign. I didn't open it right away (it was covered in bubblewrap) as it was a Christmas sign and I wasn't decorating yet. When I did open it, an entire piece was completely missing and one piece was broken. When contacting the store I was told they could do nothing for me except an even exchange (based on the fact that it was over 7 days since I purchased and I couldn't find the receipt)which isn't feasible based on how far away I live. I sent pictures and even offered to send a bank statement to prove I purchased it from there. They still insisted they could not help me. Not impressed at all. read more

My friend and I came to the Cottage Garden Farms today from Big Flats. We both have always wanted to visit but put it off. I must say that The Cottage Garden Farms didn't disappoint us. So many neat outdoor items! The indoor items were even better. Not only did they have unique decorative items but super nice clothing. We will definitely plan another trip this fall. My wife had purchased 2 shirts from here. She found out that the return policy was 7 days. She purchased them on 09-06-17 and went back to return them. They returned one but only if you did an in store credit the same day. We went back to return the second on on 09-08-17 and they accused my wife of wearing the shirt and refused to take it back. I would not do business with this place. The only sign posted in the store is where you check out and it stated items can be returned within 7 days. There are much more reputable stores than this one. The owner came out and said he had to stick with his store manager. read more

Very. Very rude and poor customer service. Purchased a solar item that was missing the solar pad and they wouldn't exchange it for the correct item. Esther was inappropriate and very rude and threw us off the property. My family loved going there to look at everything and we have spent $1000s of dollars there but will never spend another penny. read more

I visited this shop with my daughter in law. She found a winter scarf that she really liked, it was marked $ 3.99. When we reached the counter to check out the clerk said the price was incorrect and called another lady over. I showed them an entire stack of the same scarf in another color that was only a few feet from the register, all marked $ 3.99 as well. The clerk said that those were incorrect too. I told her that it wasn't right that they were not going to honor the marked price. She ignored me and asked if we were still interested in it. They never did give us the "correct" price. We wound up leaving all of our items on the counter and leaving. I give this shop two stars because they do have some interesting and unusual things that are fun to browse. They really need to work on their customer service. read more

My wife's grandmother ordered 5 resin deer with antlers you attach after opening. The deer were purchased to give to family as gifts and one of the deer had two left antlers. The store owner answered upon calling to see about receiving the proper antler and the owner insisted that there was no way that the owner made the mistake of including two left antlers and that my wife's grandmother was at fault. The owner was rude on the phone and we finally gave up and decided not to purchase anything from the store again. read more

This was an excellent place to shop. The store is filled with wonderful items, especially this time of year with all the Christmas decorations. I love their greenery, it is so realistic.
