Phoned a few times since then to ask for a refund but always got fobbed off, with staff saying the manager wasn't in and I should call back later, and when I called again the manager still wasn't in. Awful service, won't order again. If someone from Pizza Hot wants to get in touch to refund the money feel free.

The wedges were burnt and inedible even after I'd put salt on them, the tomato bread was burnt, and the hash browns had a big hole in the bottom of the container. After spending nearly £30 we only really ate the halloumi wraps and the (barely) edible bits of the tomato bread. Really disappointing. After I had complained on Facebook they denied any wrongdoing then deleted my post. Definitely not the right way to handle a customer complaint, I didn't ask for a refund or free food, an apology would've been nice. If I could rate them 0 stars I would.

Also ordered a large cheese/tomato pizza on thin base (£5.20) nothing to complain about there, a portion of garlic mushrooms (£1.90) I was surprised when these arrived, as they were fresh mushrooms, in a hot garlic butter. I thought the order would come to about £20 so when it turned up and was charged £17 didn't have a problem with it. 10 minutes later while in the middle of eating the delivery driver turns up again demanding another £10 saying it should have been £27. I flatly refused to pay it and got their menu out and added it all up and it came £21. I paid the difference and told the driver to foxtrot oscar. I didnt get a single apology over this. The food was below average quality and severely overpriced. The dog wouldn't touch what we left and he eats anything.

It's pretty much a typical Tesco Extra in terms of the look/feel of the store, which still felt familiar to a first-time visitor to this store like myself, the opening hours between 6 am and midnight appear to be in line with other Tesco Extra's store, which unfortunately seemed to ditch 24-7 opening in the post-pandemic era. Handheld scanners are available at the front of the store, where you can scan and bag items as you shop before going to the checkout to finish up. I did have difficulty unlocking scanners and had to enter my Clubcard number on multiple occasions. I much prefer the Sainsbury's and Marks and Spencer approach, of using their app on your phone to scan, rather than relying on an in-store scanner. I did find the selection of food and drink in the to-go fridge section to be quite poor, I couldn't find a standard 500 ml iced tea in the entire store, and in the end, I had to opt for a large 1.25 litre bottle. I did find it to be rather odd how the milk was divided up into two different sections, and I had to ask a staff member for help finding my preferred brand of milk, it's a big enough store and there's no reason they can't keep it all together. 3* - A nice supermarket sure, has some improvements to make, but no better or worse than the average Tesco.

They offer fantastic sandwiches in a variety of breads including doorstep bread. They also offer their own quiches and snacks and home made soup of the day which are always delicious. My favorite for quite some time was their chicken and tarragon mayo which I have tried to recreate at home without success! The sandwiches are really nicely wrapped in paper aswell rather than the usual plastic cases. Yum is all I can say!
