Very unassuming spot with great service and delicious food!!! Needed a spot to meet up with friends and this happened to be midway. I came in with little to no expectations and when I realized it was attached to a gas station my expectations went lower. But this place is the prime example of don't judge a book my it's cover. Our waitress was so attentive and made great recommendations I ended up getting the Little Gin Burger with fries and it was absolutely delicious. The patty was well seasoned and the fries were fried to perfection! My sister got the chicken fried chicken and she enjoyed it. If I'm ever passing through I will definitely stop in. read more

If you're from the Crandall area, you'll will remember the original Cotton Gin was a full service restaurant and bar. The brand NEW Cotton Gin is inside of a travel center. They have burgers, wings, fries, onion rings, and other "shareable." The customer service was top notch. Thank you, Diana and the young lady at the register. The food, atmosphere and service were really great. They have an outdoor covered patio, a bar they have all kinds of events during the week. My husband wanted a chicken fried steak which they did not have. Their website online needs a lot of work. It does not show any pictures or descriptions of the food. The "bones" section means wings. What a pleasant surprise! We came based on the reviews, but wondered about it being in a gas station. It was SO worth trying! I would drive from Dallas just for their hot honey fried chicken salad. That chicken was perfectly breaded and fried crispy tender. The honey drizzle put it over the top. The salad ingredients were at their peak freshness and very tasty. The dressing tasted homemade. Speaking of homemade, my husband's stiffed jalapeños were a tasty delight. Nothing frozen here. The staff was friendly and the deco is cute old fashioned diner vibe. Looking at the burgers I see patties/cheese/lettuce/tomatoes/etc but doesn't tell me about the burgers. Looking at the onion rings are these freshly breaded? May look like just a gas station but the Cotton Gin is nestled inside with a nice outdoor area and bar as well. Started out with drinks from the bar which were all blended well. The food came out hot and very tasty. The smash burgers were homemade with fresh products. Also had the Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich and it was delicious. My wife and I went there to eat a few days ago. I ordered the hamburger and onion rings and she got the Philly Cheese Steak. The burger was delicious but the onion rings were way too crunchy. It was like the batter was made of gravel. Plus they were $6.99. Way overpriced. There was no Au jus sauce for the Philly cheese steak. The sandwich was good though. Those are my thoughts. Very clean and organized store. Love the food from the restaurant. All the things we've ordered so far was good. Lemon pepper wings gives all the wing places a run for they money. My husband and I went on a Saturday night and we had a good time. There was a band playing. Kids playing and some adults were dancing. Family oriented ambiance. We ordered hamburgers as their menu is very limited but they were very good. The service, well, you need to order your food and drinks, pick them up, and then clean after you are done.
