Owner didn't like the tire he had installed and installed another tire and balanced it also. They stopped what they were doing to help us. The cost was more than reasonable. My husband worked with the ladies at the front desk, Megan and another lady's name that I just…read morecan't remember, to surprise me with a new Ranch Hand brush guard for my truck. I was told by my husband to walk in, hand Megan the keys and go sit in the waiting area, no questions asked. Well, I did what he said and in what felt like less than an hour, I was told my truck was ready. Still clueless as to what was happening, I was escorted outside to my truck, by the pros who installed it, to see a shiny new brush guard on the front of my truck WITH A BIG, RED BOW on it! Look, folks who work like this, who work like they care about their customers, they all deserve more than 5 stars, but since thats all Google will allow, 5 stars it is! The business itself is right off the main road, access to parking is convenient, and the quality of work is exceptional. The waiting areas are comfy - one inside, one outside, and there are snack and drink machines for your convenience. As I waited, I saw many happy customers come and go. If I ever need another Ranch Hand or the next time I need tires, I'll scoot on up to Estill to see these folks. I deeply appreciate how hard they worked to give me a really nice Christmas surprise!

Really amazing experience today. I was headed home from a funeral in North Carolina, and noticed…read morethe alternator gauge jumping up and down with no apparent pattern. Soon, the battery icon was lighting up. I had just crossed through Allendale, and decided not to risk it. I turned around, and parked in front of an auto parts store. They "pointed" me to R & R Motor Company of Allendale, on the right side of the road, as you're going down to Fairfax. They had a shop full of vehicles, including a sheriff's patrol car. The tech listened to my story, and told me to wait a few minutes. And went into a room to get a phone. I tagged along, wondering if there were any hotels in the area, and how to get to them. It was three in the afternoon--no way they'd get to it today. I parked my rear on one of the rockers on the front porch, and pondered the next moves. An HOUR later, while I'm searching motels & rent cars, he pulls up to the front porch--IN MY TRUCK! FIXED!! There were no alternators in town, so he'd called his wife who teaches in the next town to stop by its parts store to pick up my alternator, and bring it to the shop when she got off, so he could fix my truck! The bill? EXTREMELY reasonable, given the hoops he (and his wife) had jumped through to get me back on the road. And, yes, I did leave a tip. Anyway, if you're having vehicle troubles and are close by (or just passing through), this is the place to stop for repairs... or even just "cool your heels" on their front porch for a while. :)

Naturally, we also planned on throwing out the trash from our previous stop. When my wife entered the store and threw out the trash, the lady at the counter yelled, "I KNOW you didn't just do that!" and proceeded to berate my wife for throwing out the trash--something that people do at gas stations they stop at. The attitude of the lady--who did not have a name tag or anything--was downright appalling. This was the same place that RUDELY refuses to offer paying customers the use of a bathroom. We will NEVER stop here again and recommend no one else does, either!
