I was told the glasses will be in in a few weeks. They arrived in a week and a half. When I went back to pick them up the guy adjusted them to my face and I walked out the door. Now I have glasses. Told me in the most brusque way possible about the practice sale, his 2 days a week status, and that I can expect my eyes to get worse as I approach my 40's. At the end of the appointment, I took my prescription to go and found a small local practice where the doctor actually cares. Since 1961 I've had a few new eyes made and each one was a perfect match to my live eye. Prior to 1961 my Mom took me to several places to get an artificial eye but each one was from stock or picture and they never look the same as my live one. At the Ocular Restoration Clinic when they make a custom eye it looks identical to the live eye. You can not tell the difference. I've lived with an artificial eye for over 70 years and I can't tell you how many times a person I've just met or encountered a few times tells me that they could not tell the difference between my real and artificial eye. In fact a few have asked, which one is real. The clinic does great work. They are very much dedicated to detail making sure that the eye they are creating looks identical the the original. The eye socket changes as we age along with some coloring and veining with the live eye.
