High Ground Service Pros in Milford, NH, aka Sanford Temperature control, did a terrific job in replacing my old Lennox furnace back in March of 2024, so I called them on Friday, 7/3/26 for an estimate appointment. That culminated in their estimator/sales rep Zach arriving, as scheduled, on Monday 7/6/26. Zach proved to be exceptionally knowledgeable & courteous as he evaluated all the variables that would impact the difficulty of installing a new system, and he readily answered all my questions. He provided a very competitive estimate for installing my preferred, high quality Rheem brand system to replace the old Lennox system--an estimate I readily accepted. The installation was scheduled for Friday 7/10/26. That's when the HVAC installation techs Kyle and Jason arrived early to get the job done. Almost a month ago I called just before a heat wave to report that my central AC was not working. They sent a tech the next day. After an hour's work he told me that he could not fix the AC because he did not have the necessary equipment. Huh? They sent a tech to fix the AC and didn't send him with the right equipment to fix an AC? Then he said he would "try to come back tomorrow" with the right equipment. Tomorrow came, and he didn't. So I called High Ground and was told that the appointment had been set up for a full week from that day. How did "tomorrow" turn into the end of next week? Anyway, the heat wave came and went and I did not have AC. A few techs finally showed up at the end of the next week with the equipment they said they needed and worked for an hour. Then they told me they would have to order a part and charged me a deposit of $900.00. The AC still didn't work without that part. Another heat wave came and went with no AC. I called again and asked if the ordered part had come in. I was told that the tech who worked on the AC was on vacation and would not be back until the following week. At that time they would review the account and find out what was going on with the part and the service to install it. What the... Why did he have to be present to find out what was going on with the part? Why didn't High Ground know whether or not the part came in and assign another tech while the first one was on vacation? By the time he returns, I will have gone without AC for over 3 weeks since I first reported the problem. Totally unacceptable. Do not do business with this incompetent outfit. They don't know what they're doing.

Lots of work! The guys at David Electric came & did me up. The cost was well under the price I had expected to pay. The employees were prompt, neat, polite and cleaned up after themselves (yay!). In the years since I've had them out for a few other lighting changes. My beautiful expensive dining room chandelier had some manufacturing issues. The hooks used to hold up the chandelier would break. Yeah always fun to look into the dining room and see the chandelier hanging by two out of three arms! But the boys at David Electric replaced all the bad hooks once I got replacements. Next big job is to replace some seriously old wiring. Got a great price on the job. Now I'm just saving up my pennies so I can afford it. No doubt as to who I am gonna call when I'm ready though!

The service provider came when he said he would (Tuesday) and was able to partially fix the problem but not finish it completely. I paid him for his time that day and we agreed to be in contact about setting up a follow-up visit to finish the work. I emailed, as he asked, then sent a text which was how we had communicated before that, then finally after several days without a response I called. Long story short, after two weeks of spotty communication and non-committing responses, he ghosted us. If he didn't want to finish the project, I would have appreciated and respected him saying so. Rather, he just kept putting it off, saying he was busy but check back later, and offering no remedy while we were without power to several outlets in our bedrooms. We had our regular electrician come over and finish the work in about an hour and a half along with some other projects we needed done. I was hoping to have someone to call when our regular electrician is unavailable, but Aries won't be on that list.
