The restaurant is super clean, white table cloth, VERY tasty food options at reasonable prices and good variety. The wines were great! I'm usually a red, dry wine person but, here, I tasted the first fruit wines I LOVED! Charcuterie boards are to die for as well! There is a separate event room and bands come in from time to time. Can't wait to host my birthday party here!! Welcome to Bennington, Rock House! We plan to be frequent flyers for sure!

Charles has poured his passion into these meals and I can tell you they can hang with any 4 star restaurant in Dallas. As far as the wines, we all know the pallet of southeast Oklahoma generally tilts to the sweet side and Charles has some sweets that really surprised me, not overly sweet. There are four drys on the menu. My favorite was the reserve cabernet, $20 for a bottle. Beer is available btw. The tasting room is great, cozy feel. Construction starts in March on a live music pavillion.. The winery is surrounded by around 10 acres of grapes. It seems like I was told they should start producing in a couple years as they are very young. Good views of the grounds from the restaurant. I have faith Charles is going to grow this into a real destination with a great reputation. Also barbecue is about to be added and Charles has promised it will rival Salt Lick in Austin!

I may or may not have fallen in love with every glass. My friend, who lives on the dry side (of wine, not personality), tried a couple white dry options and gave an approving nod to a couple sips. Huge shoutout to Eve, who crafted our charcuterie board that we're still wondering about this one item on the board -- looked like green olives, but definitely weren't -- and they were weirdly amazing. We forgot to ask what they were, so now it's a delicious mystery that haunts us in the best way. All in all, lovely vibes, goo wine, and a mysterious snack that may have unlocked a new flavor dimension. 10/10 would sip again

We really enjoyed this place!…read more We were in the area with our RV group and wanted to do some wine tasting. Whispering Meadows among others were on our list of stops. A large group of us overwhelmed this cute downtown tasting room and the staff stepped right up. You could tell they were used to getting rushed with groups as they gracefully handled us. Most of us did wine flights. Their presentation was really cool. For $15, we got 6 generous pours in mini-wine glasses set in a vertical wine-tree. So cool. I've found most wines in this area to be on the sweeter side. A bit too sweet for my taste. Yet, there were 3 wines (Choctaw Avenue, Whisper and Something to Talk About) we tasted here that we really enjoyed and we bought bottle of some of them. They also have a huge selection of wine and lifestyle related gifts and items in their store. The owner and staff were delightful. Check this place out when you're near McAlester, OK.

It was a VERY chilly but sunny day so the mulled wine sounded great to me. I only sampled the blueberry, and this one and decided it was perfect. I'm at home now and kind of regretting not getting a bottle. We ordered our glasses and had a seat in the next room that had all the seating. We were nearly done with our drinks when our food came out, and we nearly ordered more but we were trying to pack as much as we could into a Saturday and a ton of these places close super early so it was time to move along. The charcuterie board had some excellent selections and was more than enough for 4 of us, but I will say maybe preserves or mustard or honey might be nice. Some kinda sauce... The staff was so sweet and hospitable. I've been to Hochatown countless times and hadn't stopped in here before and would be happy to go back.

The atmosphere was strange... when we think winery, we're picturing a valley of grapes or a hillside retreat. However, the deck of this tasting location was in front of the literal highway. Maybe we had unrealistic expectations being out-of-towners, but we were disappointed. The wine is very lacking. We learned from a couple locals after this experience that majority of the local "wineries" use a grape concentrate, likely from California, to create their own wines. I definitely think this shows in quality and overall taste, but the prices are very reasonable. I wouldn't come back, and it wouldn't be on our next "to stop" list, but reading other reviews, it seems like a loved establishment. If you're looking for fresh snacks or light meals, it might be a good place to stop by.

We quickly learned that there's no wineries in Broken Bow and all of the local 'wineries' make their wine from concentrate often brought in from California. Which is okay, and the prices reflects the quality, we're just not the biggest fans of the wine. The wine tasting itself was so rushed! There's no stools at the bar and it seemed like a very "out of place" experience. However, it's free and you're able to try a good bit of different wines. Their wine slushes are DELICIOUS! You can add a wine floater and in my first one, I added a floater of a dry white and it was refreshing and exciting. I noticed the frozen slushes in to-go bags by the exit and I think it would be so perfect for a hot summer day or floating the river! We grabbed three to enjoy at home! Overall - if you like sweet/simple wine, this place is probably for you... Go with low expectations if you're a wine snob, but definitely go!
