Our YMS journey began several years ago since toddler class and now as my daughter graduates, I can…read moretruly appreciate all the amazing things YMS delivered upon. The teachers were not only supportive and communicative, but they would always be available for discussions or a bit of extra help outside of class hours. The classroom sizes were perfectly tailored to foster growth and discovery but also ensure personalized attention when necessary. The learning modules were innovative, original, and forward-thinking, creating such a positive learning experience. The YMS staff have always ensured my daughter was welcomed with open arms and hearts, a true testament to their caring nature, and I always felt they considered us as part of their own families. The teachers and their attention to detail were instrumental factors in expanding my daughter's willingness to learn, growth and maturity. They have built a strong foundation, nurtured confidence, engaged social skills, in a way that truly demonstrates how much they care. Although our time at YMS has come to a close, I may have shed a tear during the graduation ceremony, not only for how proud I felt, but also knowing it was time to say goodbye to an amazing family, and I will ensure to recommend to parents that truly want the best for their children to make sure to put YMS at the top of the list.

Our daughter has gained such a fantastic foundation to grow on going into grade 1. We are so thankful for her teachers in the things they have taught her and just the overall way they handle parents and students. It really felt like a big family and we are so sad to be moving on, but intent to visit as often as we can!

"I'm done with the 'Master Engineer' level greed at La Maison Montessori House…read more This place has turned into a total cash-grab. It's not about the kids or the 'authentic' Montessori method anymore; it's about how many 'extra' fees they can squeeze out of parents for unnecessary items, mandatory 'administration' costs, and hidden charges that never seem to actually benefit the students. While the school claims these funds are for 'enrichment,' it's pretty obvious where the money is really going. You'll see the director rolling in well after the school day starts, decked out in luxury designer bags and high-end watches, driving a car that costs more than most families' tuition for the next five years. It's hard to listen to excuses about 'resource costs' when the head of the school is treating the tuition ledger like a personal shopping spree at Yorkdale. If you want your money to actually go toward your child's education--and not a new Porsche or a Birkin bag for the owner--go somewhere else. This isn't a house of learning; it's a lifestyle funding project. Zero stars if I could."

In this school, you see French immersion at work the minute you enter the building (if you have chosen the French class). Every day, my children are welcomed in French by the principal herself (a French native speaker) with a big hug and a warm smile. The rest of the day they are immersed in the French language. I don't speak French but I want my children to learn French to give them a competitive advantage in the work place. My children are not numbers or headcounts in this school but little people with individual personalities and a clear vision of what they want to achieve. The level of academic performance is above average, in the French and English classes. Why? Because my children just love to go to school every day!

I am beyond happy with this program and I will continue to provide my dedicated support, I have see significant growth and devlopment in Maison as an individual both in academics and extracurricular. The Painting and Art Gallery Show program has been a contributing factor. It was very enlightening to visualise the creativity that lies within each student. Programs such as this helps students to express themselves and creativity that helps us as parents to learn about our kids even more. I would 100% continue to endorse and recommend this program, keep up the excellent work! Maison Ramlochan Parents!

This school excels at gaslighting parents. Ms. Kathy still uses outdated terms like "Orientals" to…read morerefer to East Asians, which is just the tip of the iceberg. She's rarely present, and when her husband and daughter do show up, it's often late in the morning. If you have concerns, don't expect much in the way of communication--they're notorious for not replying to emails. On the rare occasion you do get a callback (most go straight to voicemail), it's usually just more gaslighting, with the message being, "Others are happy with the school, there is no problem". Ms. Kathy is a shrewd businesswoman, much like Trump, convinced that her school and the family members who work there are flawless. As a result, most concerns go unresolved. If you're looking for a school that actively works with you and addresses issues, this isn't the place. But if you're okay with your child coming home with unexplained bruises, feeling upset every day, and constantly hungry due to insufficient food, while sending them to a school that looks nice on the surface but lacks substance, then this might be the school for you. It's worth talking to other parents--there are zero incident reports, and the after-school programs are overcrowded. Ms. Amy Sek is particularly known for leaving kids unattended and offering nothing but lip service in return. For a fuller picture, check reviews on RedFlagDeals, Glassdoor, Google, Reddit, and other platforms. In many ways, this school feels like the North Korea of Montessori schools--strict, unyielding, and operating in its own bubble.
