I have never written a negative customer review for any business but this was the WORST retail experience of my life, and people need to be warned. We Googled Cleaning Coupon and the first ad that appears shows a $3.00 per item coupon, complete with and expiration date of November 11, 2025. https://share.google/8drXjw7C9sR25HFxd We drive from South Ogden to Layton and to drop off of few items and was told that the coupon was no longer valid, but since they pulled it up too, they would honor it, but we needed cash so went to a cash machine and upon our return the manger was waiting and was irate. He accused of "scamming him" and went on to berate my wife by nonstop swearing, using the F word over, and over, and over. He said he wasn't in the business to lose money and said to take our business elsewhere. This was the most unsettling and upsetting experience imaginable. We are also contacting the BBB. read more

I was reluctant to try Country Cleaners because of the bad luck I've had with cleaners since moving here, combined with some of the negative reviews. I've been here several times now and have had everything from solid white jumpsuits, to sequin gowns and high end designer dresses serviced and I don't have any complaints with the outcome. The guy that's there in the morning (might be the owner) is very friendly. It's in a good location in Layton, sort of next to Cracker Barrel, and they have good hours. Comforters are $25, shirts are $4 and everything else is $6. The down side is that they only take cash or checks, so now I keep a checkbook in my purse since I never have cash and I always have several items to drop off. read more

I have rarely seen a company with better customer service. Knowing I was leaving town on Monday, I dropped of my clothes on Saturday morning anticipating I would pick them up before closing that day. The day got ahead of me, and at 7:10pm I realized I had forgotten to pick up my dry cleaning. They were closed on Sunday, and my flight was at 9am Monday, so I went into panic mode. My daughter sent a Facebook message but assumed it probably wouldn't be seen until it was too late. Much to everyone's surprise, I received a message saying they were trying to reach someone who could help. Within 30 minutes, I received a text from the OWNER asking if he could DELIVER my clothes to me Sunday morning. I told him I would be happy to go pick them up, but he insisted on delivering them. If there were a way to give 10 stars, I would, because it is a rare thing nowadays to see that level of customer service. And they do a fantastic job dry cleaning! read more

It was my very first time that I went to country cleaners. I took in a $100.00 cream suit that I needed to wear to a very important conference. They said there would be no problem with cleaning a cream suit and that I could have it the next day. When I went to pick up the suit up I couldn't believe my eyes it was yellow but only in certain areas like they had burnt it in places!!! I was horrified and didn't know what I could do? I asked the girl working if they could fix it and she said No!! What would I wear to this conference. That wasn't really the part that upset me the most! What really upset me was they were not willing to take responsibility or offer any type of replacement so I could purchase a new suit! In fact they were kind of rude about it. I have used Country Cleaners for four years, and have always been pleased with their work...and especially their prices. I am not the type to buy expensive suits, so sure don't need an expensive cleaners! About a month ago, I left four suits, and when I picked them up, had three suits, the jacket to the fourth, and a pair of lady's slacks. I returned the slacks, and they tried to locate my suit pants. When that didn't happen, the manager said he just wanted to 'make things right' which he did! The suit jacket isn't worth much without the pants, so I was given a check to replace the suit. Integrity is important to me, and when I do business with someone who practices it, they have a loyal customer! read more

I rarely write reviews, especially negative reviews, but I felt compelled to alert potential customers to the kind of treatment that I endured from Jessie, the owner of Country Cleaners. Let me preface this by saying I have been a customer of this cleaners for years and never had a bad situation until now. I had taken my expensive comforter and shams in for cleaning this month and paid up front for the cleaning. I had my receipt. Jessie searched for my order several times while I was there without saying a word. Then he did say to me curtly the comforter was sent out. I did not know if he was saying that the comforter was sent out to another cleaner or what as I saw the other male employee calling someone. I asked him politely what that meant. He verbally lit into me and said over and over again, "haven't you ever made a mistake?" I was taken aback, he then asked me where I worked and hadn't I ever made a mistake? His tone was rude and accusatory and I told him that he had insulted me. He told me that I insulted him. He told me he would have my comforter in 2 to 3 hours. I went home insulted and never heard from him again. I called the business the next day and asked to speak to him, but he wasn't there. I spoke to another male employee and he told me they had given the comforter to someone else, but it was back and they would reclean it and have it in the afternoon. I got the comforter back, but I will never use this cleaner again, because of the rudeness of Jessie, the owner. read more

My only bloop here is that the owner wanted to do my daughter's coat himself (which I feel is a great thing for a customer to know-I love it when I am getting extra attention on my orders :) ) and the person at the counter didn't get the chance to give me a call before I went in to get it. Where the owner was doing the item it took a day extra to get to it. So, the call would have been nice. However, that being said, the customer support was nice, prompt, and not rude at all (like I've read on other reviews). For the price I am very happy with the service I got. Wow. Someone gave me a gift card to this place. So, I thought I'd give them another chance. The owner actually came up to me and asked me what my name was and then if I had given a bad review why I was back. I mentioned that I wanted to give them another chance and that I was willing to give a better review if they earned it. He stayed harsh and said, "well if you're giving bad reviews..." OK, so... Why don't you just do better? I knew what I was getting myself into, I thought. I did not bring any shirts to be washed or pressed this time. Maybe you guys would do good with just jackets. When I get feedback from my clients or customers, I just try to improve. Of course, I am not in the dry cleaning business so I don't know if it's possible for you guys to do better with your systems in place. Definitely not with that attitude in place. ... Those were my immediate thoughts upon leaving the place the other day. Actually, I was ready to give a higher review before, you know, the owner came at me like he did. The young lady who had just helped me was quick, helpful and all smiles. She immediately got a jacket re-pressed that had gotten bent while waiting to be picked up. I was enjoying their quirky country style. Then, there was that thing that happened with the owner. Maybe he thought I was attacking him personally. Maybe running a cleaners is a high stress job. Maybe it's hard to do quality cleaning while charging as low as they do. I had hoped that maybe if I just needed something lightly cleaned and pressed that they would turn out to be a good low-cost solution. I had a bad experience here. I dropped off my clothes and the man who took my clothes said how much it would be and then said "we expect you to pay when you drop them off and we only take cash or checks". I told him I had been there before and they didn't tell me I had to pay upfront and he said "the kids are afraid to tell people that". I felt bad and somewhat embarrassed. I had a suit and tie cleaned and when I got them back they didn't look like they had even been cleaned. When I dropped them off the kid who took my clothes acted like he didn't want to be there, he took my stuff, barely said a word to me the whole time and it felt like he was distracted. I took a white dress shirt to get cleaned and pressed here. When I picked it up the buttons on the cuffs were gone. The shirt was pressed but not cleaned. I thought maybe it was a one time thing, so I decided to give them one more chance. I took the white shirt again to be cleaned and showed them the cuffs. They said that they would fix the buttons at no extra cost. I picked up the shirt and the buttons were not fixed. The girl just said sorry. The shirt was not cleaned, but simply pressed. I was literally ripped off here. Took my suit and a bunch of ties to get dry cleaned here, and the kid at the front counter told me to come by tomorrow and it would be ready, something which surprised me, but I figured it would be just fine. Paid $26 for my suit and 7 ties ($3/tie). Came the next day to get my dry cleaning, and couldn't believe how it looked. For one, one of my ties was now all wrinkled and messed up. Second, each hanger of ties had a cute little note that said basically, "We tried to clean these and we could not." The ties did not even smell like they had tried to be cleaned, nor did the suit. Went to the store and complained about the service, and I'll admit, I got pretty upset that they could not even tell me in advance that "hey, we cannot clean your ties." I wanted my money back! The manager told me to leave the store or he was going to call the police. Really?! You are going to threaten me with the police over $26 for a terrible service you know you gave? Never. And I mean it, never go to this dry cleaners. The manager does not give a D about his customers. Best part, get this: went home, and decided to wash my ties. Took about 10 minutes to clean them all, a few hours to dry, and BOOM. Spotless. Why could they not do that too? If you can do it yourself, do it. The Mgr proceeded to tell me that white does not dry clean well. My jacket was a completely different jacket after I brought it in. Dull and gray spotting. "Well that's what ya get for bringing in white the mgr proceeded to tell me". " All materials fade and you should've brought your skirt in with it". Wtf are you kidding me??? He said all other dry cleaners will give me the same result. I tested his stupidity and took my matching skirt to Red Hanger. Guess what???? It was beautiful and glowing!!!! The mgr at the CC in Layton never apologized but reimbursed what I purchased the jacket for. He was a complete A &@$& and very unprofessional from day one. Returned my first call but did not leave a message. I called twice within a week and still no call back. Finally called the direct line. When I went to pick up my second time making the jacket look better hopefully....this A $&@& did not acknowledge with a hi or anything. Been using these guys for years. Yea, they don't take credit or debit cards but that helps keep their costs down. And if you've ever run a business you know what I mean. Cash doesn't cost anything to take and they still take checks which I stopped doing years ago. The only reason I don't give them a 5 star rating is because I don't give 5 star ratings to anybody. If I could I'd give them a 4.8. The only problem I've ever had with them was their inability to clean some very large down comforters we have. They said they just did not have the equipment to do anything that large. Otherwise I have no complaints whatsoever. Any problems I've ever had, which have been few and far between, have been taken care of to more than my satisfaction. read more

I used to use Country Cleaners all the time. They're the cheapest in town and even if they didn't always get the seams just right I still spent hardly anything. The day they didn't have my clothes ready by the time the advertisement on the door said I asked not to pay for those items. This was actually a small batch of clothes that I needed that night but not having them done on time really caused a problem for me because I had kids in the car that wanted to go home so I had to make an extra trip just for my shirts. So naturally I expected them to make it right. The employee said he couldn't do that and I had to talk to the owner. When I went back to talk to the owner he also refused to refund my money. I told him I would not be returning and he actually had the gall to tell me I'd be back because they're cheaper and faster than everyone else. To this day I spend $100 a month at another dry cleaner because of their poor customer service. read more

I've used them and had them lose articles - a pillow sham to a $600 bedroom set. I know you shouldn't trust a $600 bedroom set to a cheap dry cleaner, but you don't expect them to lose things. Their workers are also extremely rude. I wouldn't go back for anything. I use Frampton's Cleaners now.
