The cleaner near my home closed, so I gave Faye's several tries before writing this review. In short: quick service, but inconsistent quality and billing issues. My search for a reliable cleaner in Layton continues. What worked well: - Turnaround time is fast--often next day. - The pull-through drive-up window is very convenient. - Staff are generally friendly and focused on service. Where it fell short: The pressing quality isn't up to the standard I've seen at other cleaners. Collars on both casual and dress shirts were often pressed too high, sometimes leaving ties exposed in the back. Billing has been a recurring frustration. Every single visit, their system flagged my card as declined--even though my bank confirmed no charges were declined. Swapping cards would "fix" it temporarily, but the problem returned the next time. Every time. Quality control is inconsistent. One example: a button replacement on shorts cost more than expected, yet the button popped off after only two wears. Bottom line: The fast turnaround and convenience don't outweigh the quality issues and billing headaches. The staff are pleasant, but the quality assurance just isn't there. I'll be taking my business elsewhere. Here's hoping someone opens a well-run, dependable cleaner in Layton soon--because so far, I'm zero for three. read more

Adding a review on top of my review and comments for the Faye's store in Roy, which is operated by incompetent teens. The Layton store manages the Faye's pick up and delivery service. Sounds like a great option but for the fact this service is every bit as broken and unmanaged as their Roy store. Bottom line, this is not a serious business. Save your money and frustration. Faye's is little old and cluttered outside and inside so it doesn't send the most confidence-inspiring vibe, but they seem to do a busy business. Even though they were serving a large commercial order pickup when I arrived, the wait for checking in my order was friendly and prompt. Pickup for my cleaned and pressed suit was ready the next day after 5p (and open till 9pm on weekdays) at about the going norm for cost (a touch less than $20). I appreciate that the trouser creases were pressed well yet no embedded layer creases around the jacket's flap pockets or side vents. And jacket arms and lapels were properly rolled when pressed-- no creases there either. read more

Honestly would give them no stars if possible. Picked up a jacket that had some beard oil on it to see if they could get it out, only to pick it up and see the inside covered in cat hair as if it was being used as a bed. I don't have a cat! Didn't notice it until I got home and it's not worth the energy to take it back. read more

I took in a 4 shirts. They had pads on the shoulder sewn in for shooting. Two were Browning and two were Orvis. When I went to pick them up the could only come up with 3. They said I only brought in 3. I had to go out and get my receipt to prove I had 4. I told them I wanted to file a claim. Since then I have heard nothing and everytime I try to get some results I just get the run around. It you have anything good or of value I wouldn't trust it with this company! read more

Worst Dry Cleaning experience of my life. Years ago they put creases in pants that I did not ask for or want. The pants were ruined. I decided to give them another shot by cleaning an area rug. They lost it. I gave them the ticket and they lost that as well and then accused me of lying or just going to the wrong dry cleaner. The experience has left me so angry. warning! Go somewhere else. I bought a new pair of pants that needed to be hemmed. Took them to Fayes. The first time I got them back there was 8 inches of pant leg over the outside of my pants and they were hemmed 8 inches up the leg. Next time I got them back, the hen was at least on the inside, but it was over 4 inches of material going up the inside of my pant leg with the sewing part of the hem 4 inches of the inside of my leg. Then when you lay them on the table, you could see with your naked eye that the hem was so crooked. You could see a V shape in the bottom of the leg. I am done with Fayes and will choose to spend my money elsewhere. read more

A word of warning. I dropped four t-shirts off to be shortened and hemmed. It should have been a super fast & easy job for an experienced seamstress. When I picked my t-shirts up, I was charged $131.00 for the alterations. If I had known beforehand that it would cost that much, I never would have used Faye's but they don't tell you up front how much the job will cost so they can charge anything they want. Great service! Recently moved here and don't have my washer and dryer. I decided to try them out to wash/fold laundry. Gentlemen was very nice and greeted me as soon as I walked in. Normally it's a 24 hour turn around but double checked and were able to get me my laundry back later that same day. Super easy and great service read more

I usually have two white dress shirts and have one cleaned at a time. I took one shirt to be laundered on Wednesday June 25, 2021. On Monday June 28th I drove to the cleaners, the shirt could not be located, OK, sometimes those things happen, the employee who was helping me typed in notes on my profile and said "someone" would get back to me asap while they tried to locate the shirt, since my first contact on the 28th I have had to initiate at least five phone calls to try to get the loss resolved, I received one return call from a male employee @ July 7th who said he would get back with me, he has not to this point, July 10th. The lack of accountability is astounding and nonexistent in my case. The shirt cost @ $35.00, at this point I am not sure what to do, I don't want store credit to use services that I do not trust and lack basic customer service. read more

I love that this place is family owned and that it's small, a big plus is they are close to my house. They do a great job dry cleaning your clothes and even laundry service. But here's a major problem that's no excuse for this small of a place. The laundromat side is filthy, the washers have not been cleaned in a awhile which you can tell by the thick brown gunk around the inside of the door, they smell moldy and where you add your laundry soap is thick and caked with old soap and slime, and the floor is very dirty, Not every day dirty, but more like haven't been swept or mopped in weeks. 3 stars is a stretch here but for convenance it deserves 3, for cleanliness maybe 1 star. read more

They have a large selection of different kinds of washers and dryers. The machines work well and are inexpensive. The change machine will eat your money and give you nothing on return. You might be able to get your money back if you can catch the girl that works there in between her chain-smoking out back. It's also hot as hades in there. The place has no AC, fans only. Don't go when it's hot or you might melt! Ok place if you bring your own quarters and go when it's cool outside. This place makes me hope my dryer gets fixed quickly! read more

It took longer than expected but one of the owners, Alex, called me and offered a refund or in store credit. I accepted the credit and was very impressed with receiving his call. Do not bring any dry cleaning here if you want it back! They lost a $200 down comforter we brought in. When we called to get it back they said they had it but then I went in and they could not find it. I asked to speak to the owner or have her call and the "manager" said she would not call me back. Not only did they lose an expensive down comforter, they refuse to make it right. They offered store credit as if I would ever take anything back there!
