Country Fair Mall is located in Coal Valley IL. Not too far of a drive from the Quad Cities and probably one of the larger antique malls in the area. It's a standard antique mall with rows and rows of vendor booths. Country Fair Mall owns two buildings on the property which are strangely seperated by a second shop (The Cottage Antiques & Co). While The Cottage Antiques & Co is more upscale the two Country Fair Mall buildings are more my style. Most of the booths at Country Fair Mall are pretty plain and some require a little digging and rummaging. That depends on the vendor of course... Same with prices. Some are a little high, some are at market, and there are some great deals to be found too! Depending on the vendor... As far as I can tell there was only one staff member working in each building so if you needed a case opened you might have to wait if there was a line at the register... Both gentlemen were polite and easy to work with. Both my girlfriend and I walked out with purchases. My day was made when I found a Gold Medal dynamite box for under market price. These regularly go for $125+ online and I paid $35 (I think). A heckuva deal... I didn't even have to think twice about it! I collect stuff like that... Things might be a little dusty and more rustic than other shops... We had a great time walking through both buildings and shopping! We were there on the July 4th weekend and they were open on the holiday itself... More than anything else I guess... Three buildings and not a single person greeted us as we came into the store. Literally ignored us. Dealers were acting as if we were in their way. Selection definitely needs approved. It was getting really boring looking at glasses in vases in every booth.... Customer service 0 Selection in the booths greatly needs improvement from the dealers. read more

I found some great items at this mall for reasonable prices! There are actually three buildings and they are all stuffed to the gills with wonderful vintage and antiques! The This was worth the stop! read more

It has a nice mix of antiques and decor. Well displayed good prices. Not a lot of antique furniture.

Typical antique mall. Three buildings of booths to go through. The largest is the warehouse that has the Country Fair sign ( there is a bathroom when you go in to the right). Then there is the other two smaller buildings; all border the parking lot you can't miss them. The other two buildings feel less overwhelming in terms of size but still a TON of things to look at. Right now I'm really into Avon decanters that are shaped like things. If your grandma willed you some and you wish she'd left you her dog instead but she didn't, call me. I can give them a good home. I came to Country Fair looking for some Avon and I had a great time on my hunt. Country Fair is like any other antique mall, only on steroids. There are SO. MANY. STALLS. Each is rented by a separate antiques enthusiast and prices range from reasonable to exorbitant. If one stall is too rich for your blood, just move on; it's entirely possible that you will find a priceless treasure dirt cheap in the next. If an hour and a half exploring a barn packed with antiques doesn't wear you out, head to the house across the parking lot. It is also owned by Country Fair and is similarly bursting at the seams with goodies. Country Fair Mall is run by a somewhat surly couple who insisted on inspecting my mom's purse coming and going, but I didn't let them ruin my good time. I'll be back! read more
