Had to go into the concession building to pay for admission which took 15 minutes alone and we were only third in line. Bees were very thick around sitting areas to eat. Some Kids were very uncomfortable and ate while roaming. The only offer part of the menu on Friday. So hot dogs and meat nachos it is, burgers and pulled pork are only on Saturday and Sunday. If you're only open three days a week you should offer the whole menu. They offer s'mores packs to roast your own marshmallow. Not enough people to run train rides, hay rides, concessions, and admission. Idk if they weren't expecting so many groups, seeing school buses and multiple school vans upon arrival will make you want to leave any place and come back later. Very busy place. Kids enjoyed the corn maze. Lots of stalks knocked over by rude individuals making some pathways difficult with a stroller But fun regardless.

It's beautifully maintained, and looks like a well to do family lived here in the 1920's. the stove is the eye catcher here. They kindly have indoor plumbing. I didn't see the barn and church. They are available for rental year round. Activities and classes go on all year as well, and the month of December is Christmas on the farm. Near the house is where all the jellies, jams, breads and other goods are sold. I haven't had my grape one yet. Local vendors have delicious baked goods and sandwiches for the outdoor activities. I tried the kolaches from a local Czech family. This is a good place to volunteer as well. This may be the center of York. If I lived here I'd celebrate every life event at this beautiful landmark. I won't see another eclipse, but I'll come back and visit again.

We actually drove by this place earlier today. Beautiful boarding house. Restaurant in a separate building which appears newer. And here we are after dinner on friday night. All foods were basic prep of days past. So...rather plain, not much seasoning. But real good handmade everything. We selected brisket and chicken. Both were good. Scalloped potatoes and baked beans, also real good. Beans probably our favorite. Dessert of a brownie and mud pie cake. The cake was new for us. A glass of white moscato was good. Small bottles of Sutter Home. Guessing, not much alcohol is consumed here. Owner Bob, stopped and told us wonderful story of this place which in distant times, his wife's family homesteaded the farm here. She operates the lodge and they live there also. Part of the original house makes up the hotel lodge. We did not tour the lodge/bed and breakfast house. Amazing story and pleasant staff, atmosphere and overall experience. Special events can be booked here. The restaurant building is a long-time-ago barn. No appearance of that now.
