I have personally supplied the facility with ostomy bags and medical scissors because staff did not have the required materials to perform basic ostomy maintenance. Numerous nurses lacked the training needed to properly change or manage her ostomy bag, frequently requesting assistance from more experienced staff. This lack of competency has resulted in recurring leaks on a daily basis, improper bag fitting, and contamination of my mother's open surgical wound down her chest from her colon resection, significantly increasing infection risk. Recently, I called the nurses' station to check on my mom after she reported having fallen in her room. To date, no one has called me back.

She just had a VERY SERIOUS FALL HERE and was sent to the ER. They did not have guardrails up in her bed. Even though shes a fall risk. Ive tried contacting this "facility" 12 times. TWELVE TIMES to find out about the fall. I get redirected everytime and the phone rings and rings until it disconnects. Ive even tried the Administrator number. No one has contacted me. The HOSPITAL is suspicious of this facility now and I am getting a LAWYER. PICK UP YOUR PHONE!!!! THIS IS THE MOST RIDICULOUS THING WEVE EVER BEEN THROUGH.

But most the Aides we dealt with are Lazy, detached and ignorant. Some also go above their positions and answer questions they have no business answering. Aside of Dominique and a couple Nurses and maybe the food, the rest is absolute shit and they have NO problems lying about things. There is a REASON this place is always in violation and has open litigations! ADVOCATE FOR YOUR LOVED ONES ALWAYS, Regardless how it makes their caregivers feel, It's Their Job!

In the past few years things started to chang. His favorite Eagles caps and tees started disappearing after the Eagles were in the playoff. His quality of care has decreased significantly when i was brought to their attention and after many years signs started being placed in the facility and they have now put up signs saying that they are Not Responsible for lost item! He is what they refer to as a Total Care patient meaning that he needs assistance with Everythin. At first his care in PT, OT and activities was extremely goo. Now he's been diagnosed with terminal colon cancer which could have been diagnosed much earlier with a simple occult stool test performed by collecting a stool smear with one drop of solution that changes the color on a test strip much like that used in diabetic strip. it could be that the main physician saw no reason for this to be done but he is now 60 years old and some kind of test should have been done at age 45 which is what the medical community suggests for all persons on the plane! they have tried to convince us that they are able to provide palliative care but most nurses don't give him anything other than Tylenol which doesn't help him in the leas. They lied to his sister (POA) saying that if he was to get chemotherapy or radiation they would not be able to care for him because of staff limitations and then they denied ever saying tha. I was an Intensive Care Nurse for years and worked in long term care facilities for many years and I understand staffing issues but they have gotten worse and worse. They used to keep a concerns/complaint from at the nursing stations but you now need to request on. After visiting him for 20 year, I have gotten to know many residents who have come to me to complain about call bells not being answered and then being yelled at for having "accidents" and they are afraid to complain because they will get worse treatment than they got befor! things are not what they seem in the lonterm section and I would urge you to RUN and find another cente!

A friend of mine who is living with ALS is currently housed in this facility and almost every day,…read morewithout fail, I see a facebook posting from his computer referring to the fact that the kitchen has again gotten his meal order wrong. Due to the ALS he has specific dietary needs. He cannot have bread or large chunks of meat, leafy vegetables, etc. You would think that the dietary staff, in conjunction with a therapist, would have developed a plan to create meals that are not only nutritious but also easy and safe to swallow. This has never happened any my friend continually gets meals that contain bread, meat that is not broken up properly or smothered in gravies that vary in thickness affecting his already weakened swallowing ability. One of the concerns with ALS patients is that as the disease progresses the patient's caloric intake decreases which compounds the weakening of their musculature, so by staying in this facility which exhibits so little care in what they are feeding my friend regardless of how many times he, his family, or even the nursing staff have told them--they are in fact hastening his illness due to their pure disregard for one of their patients. My purpose for this review is to make it clear to everyone reading that something we all take for granted--food is a basic need, which has a huge impact on our quality of life, and when we ignore that need we are in fact saying to those people--you do not matter to us. I believe that this is not true of the entire institution, but if they continue to stand by and don't remedy a change then I will know for sure that they do not.
