There is also an aquatic centre, although i've not used it, it is average prices and the guys know there stuff. The Wyevale is a good size, with plenty of outdoor plants and a large indoor section with a cafe and toilets to visit. The plants from Wyevale can be quite expensive but they tend to be good quality and last longer than other big brand garden centres. They're only really beaten by nurseries and you can't get the choice under one roof. Great for a stroll round on a Sunday and you can also have a bite to eat!

Tesco Express is good for picking up bits and bobs, and it has a good selection for a petrol station shop. You could actually do a week's shopping here if needed. My main complaint is that because it is small the selection is limited, which is fine, but they seem to pick the most expensive type of each item, eg the organic version! This can be quite annoying as you end up paying more for your item because you have to get the high quality version.
