Overall, Jack's is a great place to stay to be right on the water (although we couldn't see the…read morewater unless we walked out there as we stayed in one of the 4 queen rooms). Parking is not great for those rooms AT ALL!!! The mattress was extremely hard but some like that so that just depends on your preference. The room was small but we were only in there for sleep so not a huge deal for us. The bathroom was extremely small and hot but again, just there for sleeping. The AC was in the sitting room (no TV in there). Thankfully we brought our fan with us so it would blow air into the bedroom area. My main complaint would be the fact that they rent and shuttle THEIR kayaks or rafts but, even if you spend money to stay at Jack's Resort for the weekend, they don't offer you the option of paying them to shuttle your personal kayaks (that was what we went to that area for). They only shuttle if you rent the kayaks from them. So we had to go down to Angler's to get them to shuttle us up river. Next time, we will probably just stay at Angler's for that reason. On the plus side, JoJo's was a great place to eat and it was nice to be able to just walk over there.

I've stayed here several times over the years and they have always gone out of their way to help make sure I had an enjoyable time. Although Jack and his wife have passed on the family are still running things. They have everything you need to go fishing. You can rent a boat with a motor, fishing poles and bait. Or you can employ a fishing guide to take you out. They are independent contractors but, provide a terrific service at a reasonable cost. We always stay in a river side room that has a screened porch out the back. The resort is rustic but, very clean with a restaurant right next door. They also provide grills so you can cook what you catch for supper. Don't pass this place by.

Best B + B stay we ever had! Where to begin? Well after our car broke down, leaving us stranded…read more1,000 miles from home, we had no idea where we would stay or if/how we would get our car fixed. When I called the owner Chris, he was very attentive to our situation and even knew a great mechanic in the area he thought could help us with our German SUV (not easy to find!). We stayed multiple days as we had to wait for a water pump, and Chris even offered us his side by side to get around town and the mechanic was as advertised. Chris even picked us up from the shop after we dropped the car and found a friend to do the same upon pickup of the car. We were thankful for our extra nights in Mt View where we sat on the old timey porch with other guests and Chris gave us a history lesson on Folk Music and even played the Dulcimer for us. All in all, this was the best thing that could have happened to us after finding ourselves stranded at a Wal-Mart just as we were about to drive 1,000 miles home. And of course the breakfast was amazing, and the room/decor just as perfect. Coming from the grim hustle of the east coast, we were left with the overwhelming feeling that there still are good people in the world, and we're appreciative to have made a new friend.

Somewhat leveled cement trailer/RV parking. Dumpster is in adjacent lot, behind large white building. Laundry is expensive. Lots of longtime RVs at outer peripherals; confederates, retiree, cops, construction workers, etc. A typical trailer court with lots of storage shed for sales. This RV park situated opposite side of Ozark Health Hospital so maybe that's a plus?

The sofa also pulls out to a queen bed. The kitchen is complete and had everything you need. Japanese soaking tub is a nice upgrade too. In an area known for kitschy cabins, this vacation rental is upscale. We loved the added surprise of a turntable with many records to choose for our playing and listening pleasure. If you haven't had the joy of a record playing vinyl, do it. It is a wonderful and relaxing touch. As the name implies, be prepared for the stairs going up to the loft on the side of the building. They are very sturdy, but if you have a lot of luggage it may take a trip or two. There is only one parking spot specifically reserved for guests of the loft. Carpool if there more than two staying here. Once you get settled, walk the block to see the craft school, get dinner or listen to music on the courthouse square.

The whole grounds are very clean and nice and all of the employees were very friendly! We had a double bed room and it had a recliner, table and 2 chairs, fridge, microwave, and coffee pot in the room. And a little backporch with a beautiful view with chairs. And found out at the end of our stay, there is a porch swing tucked away back there too!! Would definitely recommend.

Some tours may or may not have steps. Ask first. Cool down there, visually & temperature wise. Lots to see, truly amazing, pretty natural structures. There were parts of the cave closed to us that had bats. Their gift store sold the prettiest bracelet with different natural stones on it. It was a great day.
