We purchased two full semi loads of fescue sod last spring. Once they were able to get to us to install our sod it was into June. They had it dropped off one evening in front of our house and came the next morning to lay it. By the next day it was brown and looked like hay. We followed all of derricks directions to take care of it to the point he said you know what guys this was my fault we should have never laid that when it was so hot and it just didn't make it. I guarantee my sod and will replace it but have to wait until the fall to put fescue down when it is cooler. We were relieved since we just put 10s of thousands of dollars into our yard but didn't plan to give up on it. We spent thousands more in watering it and having it fertilized and brought back probably 75% of it. There are still big empty patches and the last part that was put down in the hottest part of the day did it make it. We contacted him in the fall. He never made it out. So we over seeded it. Contacted him again this spring and now don't hear anything back. So the truth is they do not guarantee their sod. It could all be dead and you get what you get.
