    They don't always hve what I need when looking for obscure parts I can find at specialty hardware…read morestore, Ace or True Value. But for the regular stuff the prices are fair and the staff here always seem to be on the ball, hustling but not racing, they have time to help and they all seem happy to do so. Often many of them don't know anything about the how-to of things. Don't bother asking something like if this carrier bolt stronger than that one, which gague wire is right for a specifi project, or why a screw has a steeper twist and rotation. They don't seem to know. But they do want to help and they do know what they do have on hand most of the time. Occasionally we will come across someone who is passionate about the department they work in. I would give them four stars however they often mis the mark on services. Like having tiles installed, siding, or an applaince. The contractors are all subcontractors and not Lowe's employees. Sometimes this ties thier hands form doing a better job beacues they have to confomr to Lowe's rules. Other times the store struggles to get the dates right or offer services they don't even sell and you don't learn about it until no one shows up for a job and you have to chase them down. This has happened to us several times on projects often wasting days or weeks.

Like the glass doors that came in without glass and then we found out our style of cabinets didn't even have glass doors that size, and that is just one example of many. Other people at Lowe's reluctantly took time out of their busy day to deal with the issues once we forced it. Not blaming the person that started the process, although they made mistakes and omitted information. I'm blaming the company for not having a system to follow through with my purchase.

    I'd give it zero stars if I could. The woman said two weeks and it will be delivered. After the two…read moreweeks was up no stove. Called and the lady said oh its going to be another week. Irritated but okay fine whatever we misunderstood. No big deal. After that week no stove. Called again and the lady said now it'll be on the 18th (today's the 4th when it was supposed to be delivered and the receipt says the delivery date is May 4, 2026) Terrible place to buy from, the workers don't know a single freaking thing. You'll pay for a stove and even though you need it because the old one isn't working you won't get one because they keep adding more time and it never gets delivered and they won't give you a refund so we can go somewhere else.

We bought a Subzero freezer and…read morethere were a few miner hiccup's along the way but once sorted out (So we thought) we paid $10,999. and change and were pretty excited. But a few days later the woman that sold it calls and tell me that the freezer if extremely heavy and that I needed to buy an installation kit and install it myself. NO! I have C.O.P.D and that's NOT gonna happen and I tell her she charge me $50.00 so I'm expecting it delivered and installed. She says they don't have anyone but will check and call me back. After a while she calls back and admits she screwed up only charging me $50.00 and at that point and interrupt her and tell her I called Subzero and spoke to a Sandra and she explained that NO WAY can ANY consumer install one of those and that it has to be a FCI (Factory Certified Installed) and the freezer comes with the installation kit. This is when she says that the install price is actually $350.00 but after speaking to her boss that that were "Doing us a favor" and only going to charge us an additional $200.00? WOW! Also there's no way we're getting our brand new freezer without paying so we did. In the world of business when a company screws up they take care of the customer but not Metro. They not only have no Subzero training but no Customer Service training as well. But that's not all folks, when the 3 guys arrived, only one has experience with these and after punching a few holes in our garage floor he realizes he brought the wrong anchors so he has to drive to Joplin to buy more which takes over a half hour. But then it get worst, the woman that sold us the freezer said it comes with stainless steel side panels. NO IT DOES NOT! So I call Subzero and find out they are $870.00 each plus $350.00 to install. OMG! We didn't even bother calling them. If they're gonna stiff us for the install mistake they for sure would even think of taking care of the panels so not we have our dream freezer but no side panels and girlfriends heart broken.

The salesman did warn me before we went over to the "above your price range" selection - and didn't pressure me further after I put my foot down and explained I didn't want to fall in love with a bed that was more than what we had to pay. We ended up finding a bed that was below our budget and we liked! We paid for delivery as well. I was a little concerned that they wouldn't give you a period of time that the bed was coming until the night before. They did call the night before - and the next day they were about an hour late. However, I did get a call a few minutes past the window of time they gave me, and the delivery guys were very apologetic. It worked out just fine, and the delivery guys did a fantastic job getting in and out quickly with no trouble. I appreciated the "love your mattress" guarantee... my parents have warned me about trying a mattress at the store and it not feeling the same when it's delivered. We did not have that problem! It was just as we remembered at the store.
