We have now stayed there for 2, two week stays and will be going back! There's a lot of really good people here, the PNW is well represented, and the Midwest crews are great! Everyone we met were easy to get along with. Rachael and crew do a very good job to take care of the details in the main office. Spots were easy to back our 34' MH into, and folks (neighbors)were helpful in the process! There are things to do in the park, lots of competition in corn-hole and shuffleboard. Using online check in we thought would make our arrival a breeze. Well, I think it would if they would give you all the information you needed. You are provided with some and asked to call in prior to your arrival. We tried that only to get a message that the office was closed over the weekend. Our reservations started on the weekend. We did not know there was paperwork to pick up outside the office. We did not know there was a key to pick up for the doggie gate. Our site was pre-assigned about the farthest it could be in the pet area so it was quite a walk getting there to discover a key was required to get through the gate. We did not see any staff over the weekend and saw our only one driving a cart as we were leaving. Reviews comment on how unfriendly people were. We did not find that. We waved, they waved. We talked to a few we saw. It was past main season. It always takes a bit to get to know people no matter where you are. We loved the pool and hot tub. Would have loved shuffleboard but couldn't locate all the necessary equipment. read more

Be careful, electric pedistals are not what they seem. They have a 50 amp plug but only received one leg. Found this out on Fri afternoon, called office @ 4pm, guess what closed, not opening again till Monday am. Called number for maintenance, left message. Countryside Resort - Does this look right to you? - RV Parks Near Me - Apache Junction, Arizona

Nice RV park with pool and other amenities. We have a 25 foot travel trailer so parking was not an issue for us, however we did see a Class A Motor Home that hit a Palm tree and witnessed another having a hard time parking in their space. Some facilities like the office, craft and media room are closed due to the pandemic. You either call the office or knock on the door and they speak to you outside. Others like fitness and pool activities are limited to allow social distancing. Laundry room and other indoor rooms are posted to alert users to wear masks however some guests disregard the signs and get huffy when asked to don a mask. Bathrooms, showers and laundries are closed on Sunday (not seen that before at an RV Resort). Many park homes as other reviews have mentioned and most are well kept. A couple look like trailer park trash collections, one has several golf carts in various states of disrepair. Not sure how management allows this or neighbors for that matter. The park is well lighted with nice roads and we walk daily. Folks are very friendly and our park home neighbors have introduced themselves. Lastly we have a pet like most RVers and we liked the fact the the amenities listed included a dog park. When we arrived the office was closed and we could not find a dog park. On Monday when the office was open, we were told that they didn't have a dog park and we were given a key to a back gate that leads outside the park to an unfenced dirt strip along the road bordering the rear of the park. We are here for the winter so I will update this review as Needed. read more

Run down, with mostly permanent residents and rude staff who profile guests. I arrived at this facility and asked to be moved from my assigned location as the parking spot for the original site had a very tight, potentially damaging area for my large truck next to a palm tree on one side and a dilapidated mobile home whose awnings protruded into my spot on the other. This left no room to open my passenger doors. The representative I spoke to had a surly disposition, loudly sighed when I asked to be moved, and then told me I had to wait for the lead staffer as she was going to (not actually on) her lunch break. When the lead, Kathy or Karen, called back two hours later, she seemed upset she had to call me at all to assign me another spot, which she reluctantly did. With three days left on my reservation, the same staffer came to my site with a manager and told me to move because they had never updated my original reservation in their system. I told the staff I had already been there ten days, yet they still demanded I move, even as it had been THEIR mistake to begin with, and I had a scheduled conference call for work in 10 minutes. I advised even if they needed to move me, I could not do so until I was done with my conference call at the very least. I facilitated my call, during which they sent maintenance over, who interrupted my call and said they were going to call the sheriff if I did not move. I told him to go ahead, finished my call, and when I asked to speak to the manager the staff refused, saying she was already leaving for the day. I've never been treated this way in all my years of RVing, and it definitely soured me on this place and even my membership in Thousand Trails as a whole. Consequently, I had spoken to a Thousand Trail rep affiliated with the location who contacted me with information on the new Adventure package that I had requested. After this experience, I did not go through with the upgrade as I did not want to be saddled with a lifetime membership to an organization if this is the trend in customer service. For that, I'm thankful as this interaction with the staff was a bit of an eye opener, especially given what I was about to pay for the upgrade. I also decided not to renew my existing membership once it expires as I find I can't comfortably patronize a business with these types of affiliates. In short, I feel if my ethnic origins were different, they would not have been as bold in their demands to inconvenience me so as to accommodate other clientele who had just gotten there... and were not Latino. read more

This is definitely not a resort. Very noisy early in the morning from road nearby. Was awakened at 5 am. Lots of constantly barking dogs. Roads are narrow and the sites are tight. If there is a vehicle parked in the site next to you it is very difficult to get properly situated. The sites are not deep leaving little room to move your trailer. After one night if I'd been able to find another park we would have moved. read more

STAY AWAY. Made the mistake of staying there for two months. Very, very unfriendly park model people. If you are not a member of the cliche, they don't talk to you. Many rude Canadians who ignore and look down to RV'ers. During Coronavirus outbreak a park model person left early in the morning. A few hours later there was CAUTION TAPE all around the park model. Unknown it the park model has been infected with the virus. Office people has no idea what is going on. Encore Properties said to call the office, the office says they don't know anything. This was disappointing mainly because it is not an RV Resort, but rather more of an older trailer park with approximately 80% permanent structures - many of them quite old. WiFi was not available at the site, only at main buildings. There was no TV hookup. Dog park was outside of the park, dirt only and the only trash receptacle was tucked in a far corner of the park. We spent 2 months here and just left today. Very friendly people. A lot going on. All the way from the snake hole golf to line dancing, bridge, Saturday pancake breakfast and much more. This is an older park, so it has a lot of tall Palm trees. There are about half of the lots with park, trailer models. The rest were like us. We have a 5th wheel and there are a lot of Motor homes too. A good mixture. If interested don't wait too long, they fill up real quick. read more

We loved staying here because of the people - both the staff and the other guests. Could have used WIFI and TV hook ups, but we were happy to give those up in exchange for the smiles all around us. We have friends who live near here so we'll definitely stay again! read more

Nice park for the price, but they should remove "big rig friendly " from the ad. A lot of trees and lights in bad locations making it difficult to get into your site, the office doesn't know what the site is like, the site they sent us to we could not get into, almost every day we se a large RV trying to get in to a site then have to go to the office for a different site, Apache Junction is a great place to spend the winter, we will return but will spend some time looking for a better park wile we are here. read more

Stayed here for over a week. The park is older but well kept, staff is friendly. We arrived on a Saturday, wasn't aware the office would be closed on weekends, but we figured out how to find our paper work & our site. The park is divided into pet area & non pet area...we have a pet, our paperwork showed we had a pet but the site they gave us was not in a pet area...didn't give it any thought...until my husband was walking our Cocker Spaniel & another resident yelled at him for having the dog in a "non pet area"...my husband explained that that's where we were parked & asked what he should do...the man replied "carry the dog" !!!!!!!! Hubby told him he needed to take his complaint to the office, the rest of the week the man just scowled at us! Too bad some people have to be so miserable. Otherwise, we would not return to this park if in the area only because the WiFi was not good & that is important to us...too many other parks to choose from to have bad WiFi. read more

A very negative experience. Rude customer service, got yelled at in the office for asking about the child policy which changed from one person to the next. No Wifi, cold pool, snoopy neighbours. There are many other, kinder and better serviced places to stay in the area. read more
