One pool, children allowed 4 hours each day. Ugh. Pet section is very limited, 1/5 of the park. They offer a dog run but you may not walk your dog in the "No pet section", you must drive your pet to the dog run. There was nothing listed for sale in the pet section. While I love the location and the views, they are more geared to children and not dog lovers.

If you want to lose weight, be at the pool 6, 7 and 9 for water aerobics, or horse shoes, shuffle board, golfing, quilting and hiking in the Superstitions. Just sign up. Parking is rough...not a ton of room to back in, and if you go to the back of the space, you will need lots if fresh water hose, electricity cord, n sewer hose. We were trying to get seasonal rates from this park to compare to nearby parks. We were initially told that a six month stay would be nearly $12,000. I knew that had to be wrong because a comparable nearby CalAm park was half that amount for the same timeframe. After several calls to the same office I finally reached someone who knew their rates. Apparently the first person I spoke with mistakenly thought the fall special of $1728 was per month. I told her I was sure that was wrong but she insisted. I even pointed out that Mesa Regal was half that amount. But she insisted that Valle de Oro was much better and had many more amenities. That statement also turned out not to be true. After visiting both I'll admit that we liked Valle de Oro somewhat better but NOT $6000 better. When I was finally about to reach someone who knew the correct rates she explained that $1728 was NOT per month but that was the rate for the entire "fall special." Very frustrating when you are trying to make plans. Another example. We wanted to reserve a specific site to be near friends. We were told that would be fine but then we receive an invoice that clearly said that the park reserved the right to change our site at anytime. Guest services Ed was never able to explain that discrepancy. All of the above caused us to reconsider whether Valle de Oro was right for us.

The showers were filthy with dried wadded up towels molding in the corners. There were roaches coming out of the drain in the shower. The sinks were full of dirt and hair. The manager gave me a rotten spot right along the road where there were other open ones that were not in the sun. I requested to move and she said the only other one was one not in the shade. As it was in the upper 90's, shade was important. This spot cost almost double of any other RV park. AVOID THIS PLACE!!!!

We decided to stay here kind of late on Saturday and the manager was already off duty. He was very accommodating and gave us a spot for a very reasonable price and even assisted my husband in getting our motor home into the spot. My only complaint is that the park is small, so the aisles are narrow and it's hard to navigate the motor home. Throw in some cars parked along the aisle and you have a nightmare! Luckily they had a spot in front!

I had the better experience here probably more than most, I had the trip from hell getting here, my…read moreawning was torn off my trailer, about an hour east of Flagstaff on Hwy 40, leaving the arms which I thought going over 50 mph were beating side of my trailer, anyway, fast forward to Mesa Gardens Rv Park, and I arrived after dark and parked my RV in wrong spot, when Kay (manager) came by, and wanted my RV moved that day, I explained my trip down there, and that I kind of wrenched my back trying to get one of those arms off. At that moment Kay told me to go rest, and to not worry about moving until I was able (which I did first thing next morning) but before that she said she was calling Dave (head of maintenance) to get him to help me remove arms, he was at my site in less than 30 minute, refusing any help from me, and 10-15 minutes later he had both arms off my trailer, then he refused my offer of a tip, payment, or anything. I was blown away by Kay, and Dave's kindness, and generosity. They are some of nicest, and helpful people I'd ever met, and was blown away by that fact. And Kay runs a pretty tight ship in Mesa Garden, telling you now, mind your manners, and especially your speed in that park....It's been completely renovated and it it's kept to highest standard, very clean, very clean restroom, clubhouse, you name it. I'm looking forward to my next trip down in most likely 4-6 week, just hoping there's at least one vacancy when I head down again!
