They have 24/7 phone in emergency service. Basically a dispatcher is on duty over night to call the doc if needed. I was pretty disappointed to find that it by way of asking several questions that this person is NOT for informational services, and knows little about pet health or costs or services provided. Either way, when I heard a human answer the phone this late, it really surprised, and impressed me. I know who I'm calling in case of pet emergency in the future. I HAVE YET TO GO TO THE ACTUAL VET/HOSPITAL YET. I will review the actual clinic and the quality of their services when I do.

When Sunday came, we knew we had to take the hard step to have her put down. We called Animal Medical Center because they could also cremate her. Since it was a Sunday, we met Dr. Ashley at the office. She had never met us or our dog, but she told us with one look at her that "She is so tired." She was very efficient, loving to our dog and us, and explained everything that would happen. It happened very quickly, and we visited afterwards, only to find out that she had traveled quite a ways to meet us, and she showed no signs of disgruntlement. Thank you, Ashley. We will be back.

An absolute horrible Grooming experience! I took my two Maine coon cats to be groomed. When I…read morepicked them up, I took them out of their kennels and inspected them. They were matted and one had dried feces on his bottom. I requested that they be brushed and cleaned! I told them there was no way that these cats had been brushed! They were taken back and I was told that they used the ferminator this time. Then they told me that one of my cats had three cuts that were from brushing them. I requested to see the cuts. The cuts were not made from a brush! I'm a nurse of 35 years and I have had these cats groomed every five weeks for years, they have never received cuts from a brush. They had to glue 2 of the cuts together to keep them from getting infected. I paid $68 per cat to be bathed and combed, and this is what I paid for. Please do not take your precious pets to be groomed by this horrific facility! Very sweet people, just extremely negligent! I know nothing about their veterinarian services, but as far as Grooming, it is awful!

I cannot say good enough things about Hoisington Veterinary Hospital. We were traveling with a 2…read moremonth old puppy we got the day before from Colorado to Illinois. Our puppy was having a very hard time and out of the 8 vets in the area I called to have him looked at Hoisington was only one who called back promptly and was eager to help our puppy. After arriving, Erick and Dr. Lyndsey went out of their way to make us and the puppy feel comfortable and get our puppy taken care of. You could tell they genuinely cared about Bobby and were going to do everything possible for him. They were more than willing to accommodate us and give us different options for care since we were in the middle of a cross country area and knew no one in the area. Erick was incredible over night and the next morning texting and calling us with updates for our little guy. Also making sure our puppy had a nice stuffed animal friend to spend the night with! Even after we picked up our little pup to continue the trip when we was feeling better, Erick was more than helpful answering our question we had about the medicine we had to administer. I feel so fortunate to have found these incredible people who were able to help our puppy get back on the up and up! Thank you so much!!!

I called and TINA answered, I said I needed to cancel the appointment, the only responseI got was, TINA just hung up on me. I boarded my dog here over the weekend. I explained to them when I left him there that he has…read morepretty bad anxiety but he usually becomes depressed and does nothing whenever I board him. When I arrived to pick up my dog today 6/26/23, I noticed he had some skin taken off of his nose. I asked them about it and was told, pretty condescendingly, that he was probably rubbing his nose on the door of the kennel trying to escape. He's never done that before any of the places I've boarded him. He's always just laid down the whole time and done nothing. After leaving, he started whining and I saw that there was something wrong with his right eye. When I had him look to the side and pulled back his eyelid a little, I saw he had blood filling his eyeball. I immediately took him to the animal hospital since I didn't trust Hillside Vet enough anymore and they told me that it's a severe subconjunctival hemorrhage from either being hit in the face or choked. She did emphasize that it could have been an accident but didn't seem at all convinced. I called Hillside Vet to let them know what I found. The lady on the phone said she didn't know what exactly I wanted from her and asked if I wanted to know what happened. I said yes so she told me she hadn't been told anything about him getting injured but she'd ask around and call back in a few hours. That was at noon 6/26/23 and she didn't call back by the time they closed so I'm planning to call back when they open in the morning. Edit: I just called back. I spoke with a woman who insisted they would never hit or choke a dog. She said that the woman I spoke with yesterday was asking around but didn't find out anything. She transferred me to the owner and I asked him about it. He suggested that calling it "severe eye trauma" was pretty strong words and said that he wouldn't be able to take the vet hospital's word for it. He'd have to see it himself. He said that maybe texting him a picture would be fine but he would really need to see it in person. He also said that they have a 1/2" gap underneath the bottom of the kennel doors so that's why dogs are able to get their noses in there and scratch themselves so badly and, if he even has a subconjunctival hemorrhage, which he wouldn't take the vet hospital's word for, he probably somehow did it to himself. I didn't say this to him because I think it's him but I saw a tall, white man with dark hair while I was picking up my dog. Since having him home, he's now scared of my brother who's a tall, white man with dark hair. Edited to add pictures

The office woman was utterly cruel and heartless. My dog ultimately passed away in a strange vet office unfamiliar to him. Needless to say I am switching to an office with a compassionate team.

My dog was sick and stressed from traveling. Dr. Mark Meier fit us in and saw us before they closed. The whole staff was so kind. Dr. Meier diagnosed two new conditions that I was unaware of to help me guide my way in future care of my dog. He was able to treat my pup, who finally rested and was able to eat. A medical condition with my Bichonpoo (missed by another vet) was caught and promptly treated and cured by Dr Emily. He is finally back to feeling good again! More recently, my Cavachon has been healing from a hip injury. After thoroughly examining her, Dr Meier gave me therapeutic exercises to help aid in her recovery(instead of suggesting surgery, meds, etc). I so appreciate the extra time and attention these doctors take to ensure the best possible care for our beloved pets. I would highly recommend this Veterinary Hospital!
