We went back and forth a bunch of times about when, where, for how much time. I was being indecisive and high maintenance and Margi was calm and friendly and accommodating the entire time. I decided that I wanted to do a New Orleans-style parade from the ceremony site behind Crown Hall into the venue for cocktail hour. Margi was not only accommodating but excited about the idea. We ended up just doing a modified parade because people were cold and wanted to get a drink but Margi and the rest of the band went with the flow and put on an incredible performance. Their presence at the wedding was one of my very favorite parts of the day and I'm so grateful to these talented musicians for being a perfect addition to our day.

I HIGHLY recommend having Alisha and Nathan for both the ceremony and cocktail hour. As amazing as they were, my husband and I were too focused on each other that we could not fully appreciate the music playing when I was walking down the aisle. So, listening to the music playing during cocktail hour after photos were taken, was worth the investment. They were absolutely great and as we listened back to the recordings of the wedding, the music was perfect. My husband and I wanted a forest wedding. For the music, some of the music was inspired by the video games we played together. I even walked down the aisle to a Kingdom Hearts song. Alisha and Nathan were able to play ANY SONG and accommodate our unique tastes in some video game music! They communicated to us quickly over any changes or any questions that they had. Best of all, they surprised us with a song that we did not request but we absolutely LOVED because it was from our video game! They are two amazing, kind people who are willing to accommodate any song requests you'd like. You could tell that they truly cared about the sort of vibes and vision of the wedding as well! My husband and I 100% agree that they were one of the best parts of our wedding. We do not regret hiring them for cocktail hour and the ceremony. It was well worth every single dollar! All of our guests loved the live music and we are looking forward to hosting another event just to have an excuse to hire them again! :)

She was so easy to communicate with, returning my call swiftly and she clearly communicated the talents she could provide and at a reasonable rate. While planning our wedding rehearsal, my (then) fiancé and I were talking and said, "How awesome…read morewould it be if we had a mariachi band there?" My fiancé's family from Mexico was attending, and we thought it would be a fun and special way to honor them. It turns out we couldn't have live music at the rehearsal dinner venue, so we thought our dream was crushed. Fast forward to nine days before the wedding. We realized we could have music during the cocktail hour at our ceremony and reached out to see if they were available. Mariachi Hernandez came through and played beautifully! They even played a song specific to the state of Guanajuato, where my (now) husband's family is from. His aunt and mother loved it so much they were dancing and singing along, and even called his elderly abuelita so she could listen. Mariachi Hernandez could have said no. It was incredibly short notice and they were playing another event earlier that day, and had to drive out of their way to get to our venue in Sonoma. They were so generous with their time and talent and we want to say "thank you" for making our wedding day so special.

Where do I start?!…read more Brian is the coolest guy I know. He is also the most talented musician and most entertaining performer ever! He knows how to play a million instruments and all styles of music. He was in a very cool touring band and is super humble about it. He is great teaching both kids and adults, which requires very different teaching methods. Have you seen School of Rock the movie? He's basically a real life Jack Black full of awesome, inspiring, rock n' roll energy! I started pursuing music at Brian's school when I was 18 and am now pursuing music professionally! Brian's school was where it all started for me. He gave me the opportunity to perform on stage for the first time, a Led Zeppelin cover show! I found my passion for singing rock music right there on stage and haven't stopped pursuing it since. I was enrolled at Brian's music school until I moved out of the area. I had an awesome vocal teacher and also dabbled in guitar, piano, and drum lessons. It was so cool being able to try everything! He even taught me a lesson on bass when I needed it last minute, and I know other people who took trumpet and ukulele from Brian! I loved the school and the environment so much I even ended up teaching there! The staff he hired were all super friendly and professional. The students and parents were all really kind and it was a joy working there. Brian's unique and friendly personality ignited a passion for music in many kids who I'm sure had no idea they would fall in love with it. He really knows how to cater to all levels of musicians and most importantly, have FUN. I strongly encourage you to go take a lesson! Try a new instrument or hone your skills on your main expertise. The most fun part is performing in a show at the end of the season! Having the pressure to learn your parts really encourages you in a special way. You don't want to let down the band! My 12 year old sister lives in Eureka with our grandma and she wanted piano lessons…read more Not any piano lessons would do. I grew up taking piano lessons with a teacher that was too strict to the point where I would come home crying from every lesson. I didn't want this for my sister as she was looking for piano lessons to be fun. After talking to a few older teachers in Eureka and feeling like they were way too serious. I finally found Brian and The Eureka Music School. He was super casual and cool. So my sister just had her first lesson and loved it. He seemed to know how to simplify piano playing which made it fun for my sister and she feels like she's already progressing fast. I'm glad I helped her find a good one and I can't wait to hear about how future lessons go. Brian is an awesome guy who seems to be able to play every instrument imaginable and he is a great teacher! Highly recommend.
