Well friends, Letz Move deserves the honour!…read more After a lot of pain and heartache caused by Winkworths (aka WANK-worths), I was beyond thrilled to find such a dream agent. My agent at Letz Move was honest and reliable from the start and has continued to be throughout the entire rental process. Basically, here's what makes them top-dog in my book: -Honesty. When I asked my agent if he thought I could talk the rent down a bit, he told me it wouldn't hurt to try. Most agents seem to insist there's no way the landlord will bring down the rent. Thanks to his advice, I knocked off a few pounds! -Simplicity. Almost everything is done online, making the process far less painless. I was able to fill out all my reference and application forms online AND even sign the contract online as well! -Thorough! When I went to collect the keys, my agent met me at the flat and did a thorough check-in with me. We walked around inspecting every inch of the place, making sure it was all up to snuff. And nicks or dings were market down and then put up on the website, which was accessible to me with the login information they'd provided. I was then given five days to dispute or add anything on. -Helpful. Everything was perfect upon move-in, but a couple of days later we had some trouble with our oven. I emailed my agent and quickly received a response from another member of staff informing that my agent was on holiday but that they would be happy to help me out. And they did. Problem solved in less than 24 hours. Most importantly, my agent from Letz Move was kind and approachable. I actually never felt like he was stretching the truth or trying to sell me on something that I didn't want or couldn't afford. The only downside to this agency is that they're not very big and don't have tons of listings, but otherwise I cannot recommend them more!

Letz move made my life hell for 6 months! They wouldn't repair anything in the flat, despite the…read morebroken heating and windows making it freezing cold for the entire winter that I lived there and the garden being ridiculously overgrown. The flat was disgusting and dirty when I moved in, but I was desperate to move quickly so I took it regardless. I spent the first few weeks cleaning as the cooker was covered in hardened gunk, the cupboards were broken and the bathroom had so much mildew that I actually showered at the gym until this was all removed. The maintenance woman rarely returned my calls and took 5 months to get the work done, but strangely they were quick to contact me when the rent was a day late. They then tried to take half my deposit when I left, claiming that they needed it for cleaning fees which made me laugh as it was cleaner when I left than when I first moved in. Fortunately my deposit was covered by the deposit protection scheme, and 6 months later I have gotten this all back, after months of bitter disputes with letz move who even went so far as to make up far-fetched stories with no photographic evidence (which I did have). This agency have actually put me off renting, but I am fortunate to have found a lettings agency who are honest, quick to deal with problems and have a good reputation both online and from friends and colleagues.

I viewed a number of places and the agent drove to them with us to view. The communication was great especially as I was living 100 miles away at the time. I eventually plumped for a small one bed flat and battered the price down from £450 to £425 per calendar month this was 4 years ago. They were very helpful and friendly towards us and was happy with their management of the property. They worked with the landlord to replace a window that kept misting up and was done without any arguments.

I started responding to ads posted by estate agents and met with a fair number of agents from different companies in my flat hunt. Of the agents I dealt with, those at First Union were the most genuine and friendly to me. Others were disinterested, overbearing or just downright indifferent. Now, anyone who rents a flat through an estate agent knows that the process is fraught with trials for the renter. When it comes right down to it, the estate agent works for the landlord, not the tenant. Tenants come away from estate-agent liaised rental agreements feeling f*cked up the ass, and it's not nice. But, I'll be the first to say that First Union was a considerate lover and used lots of lube. Of the estate agents I came across, Shelly at this First Union office was super personable and always available to answer my questions via email and field my telephone calls. She kept me informed throughout the entire process and never made me feel put out. She was genuinely excited for me to find a new home, not just for herself for sealing a deal. The entire transaction and agreement went smoothly from start to finish. First Union is a small estate agent with only three locations in the SW18 and SW11 area, which means that you won't necessarily have the most flats to choose from but you will be met with smiles and a helpful demeanour by everyone in the office. And the flats available run the gamut from the cheap to the expensive, and you'll never feel as if First Union is trying to sell you up into a price bracket you cannot afford. First Union will take your money like any other estate agent will, but, I have to say, I didn't mind all that much.

I disagree, from the moment i walked into the door of first union i was treated badly. i was moving…read moreinto a flat to share with a girl who was already living there " oh i hate transfers there is no money in it " was the first words uttered when i walked in. Then they demanded rudely as my guarentor was retired they pay 6 months up front as they didn't trust they had money! Then they were extremly rude when i didn't renue my contract for the following year even though i had like another month until it was due. And then i found some friends who wanted my flat after i had left and told them all about it and they had basically decided to move in, the agent had the cheek to tell me to stop talking to my friends as they were dealing with their move and that they were doing me a favour as i would get to move out early and i said no i found them! they are my friends and i wanted to move out early thats why i told them about it they didn't even know who my estate agent was until I had told them so i was doing the agency a favour and they were so rude to me! Really unhappy with my experience with this estate agent more than 3 staff have been rude and I have been treated very badly, and I always paid my rent and kept the flat immaculate.
