By far the worst estate agent I have ever used. Now starting the long court process against them. Do yourself a favour and don't fall victim to these people. Rent from somewhere else. I made a complaint 6 months ago about loose carpet on the stairs causing a danger but nothing has been done. Their electrician blew the fuses for the entire house by shorting out the live cables which damaged computer equipment. They refused to pay. They charged the previous tenant for damage they caused but did not repair. They used invoices for the repairs which were never done to deduct money from the deposit. Isn't that fraud? read more

If I could give less than 1 star I would. Based on my experience I would say avoid, avoid, avoid. I rented a flat through them and its been nothing but trouble. The issues we mentioned to be sorted before we moved in were not done. The flat was not professionally cleaned when we got there. we complained of mould and instead of sending someone that works with mould to look at it they sent a decorator. I could go on and on. We are 7 months in and I am still trying to sort a problem we mentioned on the first day we moved in. Their customers service is terrible, even elevated this issue to one off the partners, who then fob me off to a director, who also fob me off to another employees. I would advice not to rent a property through them. I have had a terrible experience with them. read more

Our seller went through seymours and I have to say they are the biggest bunch of amateurs I have ever had the miss fortune of dealing with. They frequently have the wrong information when you've requested a viewing with them and send a little blonde piece of skirt to the viewings with no clue on the details of who the seller is or information on the property. They continually got my name wrong right up to the point where we exchanged and no longer needed to deal with them. They push the hard sell, inflate the market value of a property hoping to get a good chunk of cash from the sale, the result is that properties stay om the market longer and eventually get knocked down in negotiations to reflect the market conditions. I'm all for giving youth a job but employing unprofessional children to deal with the biggest purchase you will make in your life is a slap in the face. Buyer's be aware and sellers, use sense. A hard pushing estate agent might not always get you the best purchaser and end up costing you when they pull out. read more

As a landlord of a good quality, modern and easy to let flat I went to Seymours as their Sales side has an excellent reputation in Horsell. Sadly the Woking Lettings business is staffed by apparently inexperienced individuals with high staff turnover (well that's one of the excuses given anyway) and so they are either incompetent or care little about getting things right. Issues raised with management are not resolved as promised but the same problems arise time and again. It would be impossible to keep doing their job for them if I had more than one property and I would certainly be losing money if I didn't closely vet the charges they send through which when wrong are incorrect in their favour. Previously I had tenants stay for the full one year or renew for longer. In less than 2.5 years I'm on tenancy number 3 through Seymours. At the change of tenants they have twice tried to over charge me on their fees (never referring to the terms agreed and on file), they have failed to collect the correct money from 2 sets of tenants at the end of the tenancies and then, when prompted by me, failed to pay it to me quickly as they had promised. They have tried to reclaim money from me months after they say it was due when in fact it had been previously paid but then never apologised for their error. The inventory report prepared by their contractor at check out was incorrect twice and missed items as a landlord I had a right to reclaim. It was also not a full report (until I raised this because after several years contents had changed). The new report just produced failed to record all the items in the property and yet ones removed in previous tenancies were still shown - in short 20 errors for a small 1 bed flat. Having raised this I am still waiting a week later to be given a refund of the money I have been charged for this useless report. Despite going into the office and discussing the poor service, incorrect charges etc with the individuals and then their management there has been no change in behaviour and errors still occur. The feedback was I was being tough on the staff expecting them to get things right ...... well I'm polite but have every right to be direct and then annoyed when they can't do the maths, cost me money, over charge me and fail to find tenants who stay the course. OK so as a landlord expect it to be your fault! read more

One of a small chain of estate agents in the area. We decided to use them after a recommendation from a friend when we had thankfully reached the end of a contract with a different agent based nearby. The contrast to the service and advice we were given by our previous agent was remarkable. Honest and professional from the word go and, despite the current downturn in the housing market we have always been kept well informed of the situation with our sale. They seem to have provided us with a steady stream of viewings despite the crunch and this I believe is partly down to the quality of the work they do. Photos, descriptions and floorplans are accurate, coupled with friendly and knowledgable staff, Seymours is well worth registering with. I've only marked them down to four as I still haven't sold my house! read more

I am absolutely disgusted by the treatment received by Seymores. Their only saving grace for me is the first estate agent who took us around to view properties. He was lovely but.... and this is a big but.... If given the opportunity to go back, I would have saved myself the frustration and used any other agency. We were constantly being told how we had better hurry up and put in an offer for properties. We do believe that most of the properties we viewed were overpriced for what we were getting. We were then told that house prices were going to sky rocket at the beginning of the year so we should try put an offer in on any one of the properties we had viewed. We did see an apartment we liked and we did think it was over priced so when we put our offer in we offered £150 less than the asking price. Our offer was rejected which we could understand and we continued searching and put an offer in on another house late on a Wednesday evening. I tried all of Thursday to contact our agent at Seymores to find out if the offer had been accepted. Thursday afternoon I was contacted by Seymores about another property. When I asked what happened to our offer we were told that someone else offered more money. At no point did they give us the opportunity to raise our offer. Even a phone call to say we had not been successful would have been nice. After another incident like this we said we no longer wanted to use Seymores as their service had been so bad. We then went for a viewing with another agency, where a Seymores agent showed up and showed us another apartment in the same block. We had never seen this agent before and we assumed it was an agent from the new agency. Seymores weaseled their way back in with the constant barrage of phone calls regardless of how many times I asked them to stop as I was fed up with their service, We were told that the apartment we put the offer in for was still vacant (see above) . After speaking to Seymores they said we should add an extra £50 to our original offer. My thinking is that if the property is still vacant surely I would offer less. Which is exactly what I did. Our offer of £200 less than the asking price was accepted. Within minutes money was taken from my account. We passed referencing and it has taken them a week to get a standard contract to us. I do believe that they have sent the contract at the last minute so we cannot question anything in the contract. They have put me in a position that we have no choice but to sign right now. As much as I want to walk away and find another agent, I will lose £500 I paid as a securing deposit, even though the only reason I want to go through another agent is because of their service. At every point all I have heard is I am sorry or I apologise. At no point do they do anything about the service. I am going to report them to the National Association of Estate Agents. read more

Awful letting experience. Investors should be wary as to how, if at all their property is being managed. Tenants do not not expect any managing to be done. If/when you require maintenance or urgent work done, dont take it as a given that it will be done with any haste if at all. Do not expect any phone calls or emails to be returned nor questions to be answered. There are many examples over a 18mth period however the simplest advice is to avoid at all costs. One star is a generous rating for their level of customer service. read more

I've signed up to this site just so I could post this review. I'd give these guys minus stars if I could. We were just about to move into a place so I called to see if the phone line had become free yet for the internet. When the woman calls me back it turns out she'd just realised that the tenants were still in the property!!! They couldn't organise a p*ss up in a brewery and their communication is atrocious. And did we get an apology? Nope. It seems like this is business as usual for them. Appalling. Avoid like the plague. read more

Rented a house through Seymours for a year and had issues with them when it came for them to give us notice for renters to view the house. The long story short.Seymours seemed to be so annoyed with us asking them to give us notice that we were unable to view properties through Seymours again. Noone from the Woking branch would call back to arrange viewings. Luckily we found a new property thru another estate agents. Very unprofessional that the Seymours branch in Woking can do this! read more

Absolute scum bags, cannot put it any other way. Initially they are polite but don't be fooled. They are bullies that do not represent the interests of the landlords or the tenants. If you deal with these idiots ensure you have adiquate legal cover you'll need it. read more
