My hands had not seen a manicure in ages, and my feet, well - they needed help too. This is located in between the main wing and south wing of MOA on the second floor. In that whole area, there are about 5-10 other nail shops you can shop and may pass through, although most of them are on the south building, while this is on the main building. For some reason, I think this place had the most reasonable prices (aka, cheaper...), but I could be wrong. I had the mani/pedi combo, I think it was 700. Daughter got acrylics extensions for 1500. Her boyfriend did a pedi. We were all very satisfied with the level of service and the quality cures we had. Workers were friendly and very patient. They took their time and made sure our toes and hands were clean and looked great! Second time around - this time we were on a really limited schedule. I wanted to do the same thing all over again, mani/pedi, but no time. My 2 teenage boys got their first manicures (200 each) because they are too old for the kid mani which was 150. I had a 30 minute back massage for 350. Sooo relaxing, was willing to do a 1.5 hour massage but again, no time. Like most nail salons in the Philippines, they do not have massage chairs with a jet stream basin, but instead chairs and foot stools. I opted for a foot spa, which included a short foot soak in a rubber basin they brought out (less than 5 min for me), callus removal, cuticle care, and polish application. My service was done by Pauline who did an awesome job. 10/10 would request her again. She was thorough with my feet spending about 30 min with the foot file, transforming my callused man-feet back to its baby soft form. She was gentle with my cuticles and applied the polish perfectly -- just up against my cuticles, but without touching them. The shellac on my hands were done by Grace who did a decent job. They weren't to my standard as I'm picky about how clean and close the polish is around the cuticle, but still clean enough to be acceptable since they still looked neat. She definitely nicked me a couple of times with the cuticle nippers, but drew no blood. The nail technicians here have a difficult time communicating in English, but they have decent shop talk and you can get by if you don't know Tagalog. The polish selection is small and there is an up charge for certain polishes. They don't have OPI shellac, which is what I was looking for. I wanted a dark blue shellac, but the only one available was imported from Japan and had about a 700 php up charge, which wasn't cool. The downside with it is that the whole process is longer as it takes quite a few coatings to perfect. Coco Nail Studio in Alabang however, is proud to offer a faster way of applying gel polish with their exclusive (for now?) machines that chops off more than half the time required, making the coating dry in seconds. Even I'm impressed. The speed of the process is almost a bad thing, as the interiors of Coco Nail Studio make you want to stay there for copious amounts of time. They opted to use regular sofas to do the nail spa treatments, so you're always comfortable in your seat. I don't have my nails done but I'd recommend Coco Nail Studio to anyone in a heartbeat.

When we got there, we were about an hour early for the movie we wanted to see, so we bought tickets and tried to look around the mall. After hitting a few stores, we decided to get our nails done at Get Polished, a nail salon which we both have never tried. We were attracted into the store mostly because of it's name. It was pretty much what we wanted to have done - get polished. Secondly, the nice interiors did intrigue us. Rich, luxurious colors of purple, deep magenta and pink popped out against the white ceiling and gray damask walls. Service was lovely and wonderful as expected. The only downside (if you can call it that) was that my friend and I had a hard time choosing from the wide range of brands and colors of polish that they had available. Well, we should have expected it. After all, the salon's name says it all, right?
