Sold me a lemon of a car, the first time I went to get it inspected (2 days after getting the car)…read moreit failed inspection due to holes in the frame. When I went back to s&s they sent me to an "honest" shop to get it inspected. I called because there was allot grinding noise while braking and while I was backing out it felt like the brakes were getting caught and or moving and getting caught on the rotor, when I called s&s they told me not to worry that it was just rust on the rotors and that I just needed to drive it for a while. Lest than 2 weeks later I was driving on the interstate with my 3 year old cousin and my aunt in the car and noticed my brake light was on. I thought at first I had forgot to take the parking brake off as the car was a standard and when I looked I hadn't. I tried to brake and realized I had no brakes. I called s&s they told me to get it to the shop and they would check it out when I got there they told me that my brake pad had fallen out, when I asked them if they were going to do anything about it they told me "you own the car now, we aren't responsible for fixing anything anymore" I drove it to another shop and they told me that my pads were so worn that they were not at all surprised it had fallen out. It had ruined my rotors and I had to replace those on top of that the caliper was stuck and the ball joint and cv axel were broken and the frame was really bad so I had to put a massive amount of money into it directly after buying it and getting it inspected by their "honest" inspector. I had the car for a year without missing one payment and eventually just had to bring it back to them, I told them to take the car forget about all the money I had given them for it and just leave me alone. I saw some other sorry girl test driving this car 3 weeks later. They don't care about your safety in the same way they didn't care about mine. Untrustworthy, and dishonest. The mechanic who actually works on the cars is a good mechanic he is just so misguided by the owner and his hands are tied by what the owner makes him do.

It is now 5 pm Saturday, and come to find out, they closed at 1, and we never got our pump!! We have been without water for 5 days now! I left them a voicemail saying that i expect it to be delivered first thing tomorrow morning. If they do, and all is well with the pump, I will change my rating, but at this point I am pretty peeved. UPDATE: Just spoke with the manager (Sunday), he was very apologetic, said the warehouse hadn't delivered to his store on Thursday, as they should have. He found a pump which they have in stock, which will work for us, and promised to personally deliver it tomorrow!! Couldn't have asked for a better response!

We have been customers of this store for over 20 years, even before it was bought by Bethel Mills…read moreand became an ACE Hardware store. We buy dog, horse and chicken food, paint, lumber, and much more and have usually had helpful, if somewhat spotty, customer service. ACE sent a flyer out with a bogo sale for paint in the days before Labor Day, 2018. When we went to our local ACE store-- Central Supplies-- it was closed on Sept. 3, the last day of the sale. They are normally open on Sundays so we were annoyed that we had driven a 10-mile round-trip into town for nothing. But when I called the next day and asked if they would honor the flyer's terms, given they were closed on the last day of the sale, I was told "no". I explained that we were loyal customers and that, if they were an ACE store, we expected that they should honor the terms of the flyer. Finally, after a clerk must have consulted someone, we were offered 50% off our second gallon of paint. I said, "thanks but no thanks" and hung up. I then tried to contact Bethel Mills, their owners, for a manager and ended up leaving a message but no one has bothered to get back to me. I try to buy local in my small, rural community but more and more, the "big box" stores are making it easier to buy-- credit cards, finance plans, military discounts, larger selections, online ordering with 2-day delivery right to my door. The only thing my local store can offer is better customer service but it seems Central Supplies/Bethel Mills just can't be bothered. They should opt out of the flyer if they don't want to be open on a holiday weekend. By the way, we went to Lowe's instead and they were open and happy to help us.
