My duo partner's broke down in the garage next to the Residences at Rowes, and we had to wait for a tow truck. The gentlemen (Philip and Hugo) were so accommodating and helpful while we waited for two and a half hours for the darn tow company to come. They were incredibly friendly, funny, and even shared their dinner with us (we were starving and didn't get fed at our gig). The flowers in the lobby are always fresh and beautiful and I love walking into Wilkes. As for the apartments-most are owned/very few are rentals. Ultra modern lofts/one bedrooms/two bedrooms. Poured concrete floors, stainless steel appliances, granite counters, laundry, central air, brand new everything. The area is definitely getting nicer by the day but the silver line can be slightly sketchy at night. The neighborhood cafes, bakeries, and upscale restaurants make this location fairly ideal. An easy walk to the main shopping areas and to everywhere in central Boston. If you are in the market for a modern apartment in a friendly building, especially if you have a dog, check out Wilkes!

Parkside Condominiums is a nice building you will see when you visit, however there are a few…read moreissues to be aware of before you choose to rent or purchase here. 1) the hot / cold water works poorly. Some days you have no hot water. They have made attempts to repair and it works better but dont expect much. Some days its cold and other days its so hot it can scold you. 2) Heat and AC work poorly. They are old units and constantly failing. 3) DON'T rent or buy here if you plan to have a nice car. The valets are terrible. My car has seen a riped seat. numerous dents. the edges of the doors are all chipped from them opening on other cars. If you see the garage you will learn why. The garage is extremely tight. Also some of the drivers they hire do not know how to drive a standard shift car. I have heard them on mulitple occasions grinding gears. Stalling cars and burning the clutch. No B.S. this is my experience here.
