the people that work at Bozutto are mostly incompetent. they now have recovering drug addicts living at Park Lane cause it's tax break for Bozutto but extremely unsafe for residence. also, there are too many dogs that crap and pee on every floor and common area and bark at all hours. If someone cooks on your floor you will smell it for hours cause ventilation is poor. also, one of the elevators was down for over 1 month and zero communication or updates from Bozutto. when you pay over 3300 for a 1 bedroom but have to deal with recovering drug addicts and playing defense against dogs in unreliable elevator, and Bozutto lack of urgency or care, it's not a fun place to call home. read more

I have lived here for 4 years and pay quite a bit of $$$. For months the elevators have not worked. They are "being fixed" NOTHING TAKES THIS LONG IF MANAGED. What drove me to comment today was the slipping and bouncing sensation in one of the two "working" elevators as I waited too long for it to open. I was terrified and blame myself for putting up with this. Elevators stop at multiple floors whether there is someone there or not. No freight elevator so moving is fun for those moving and the 20 floors of people left with one elevator on moving day. Walk down the stairs to the garage to view the leaks that leave gross puddles and decaying walls. This is an unsafe and unhealthy situation that has gone on for months. Talk to "management" and hear sad little apologies with no sense of urgency. I gave one star because I could not leave zero. UPDATE: 1 month later and the elevators still do not work and there has been no improvement to the stairway and entry to the garage. read more

I did a lot of searching before deciding to move into Park Lane this past December. It has been a great experience so far! If you are someone who does their research before renting, you will quickly see that Park Lane is the best deal in the Seaport and I highly recommend checking this community out. We are so happy with our apartment we chose and surprised by the amount of storage we got. Our apartment is beautiful to say the least. Hands down, the best kitchen of all the buildings we have seen and nice, open floor plan! The leasing staff has been very accommodating with our move-in process and the concierge knows every resident in the building and goes above and beyond to help them. It's nice to know we are living in a building with staff that cares. I am very much looking forward to enjoying the roof decks over the summer:) read more

I lived in Park Lane for a year with a roommate, who was a disaster, therefore the only reason I moved out. Overall, the building was great. I never had any major issues and enjoyed living in this amazing area of Boston. Maintenance requests were always attended to within 24 hours. The concierge were very helpful in terms of packages and answering questions when the leasing office was closed. Very inconsistent though. Some people were extremely kind and always greeted you in the morning/evenings, others would just sit there and not say a word or acknowledge you. Often, some of these people would blatantly talk about how terrible the management company is and it became very clear that there is a great divide between them and the office. Not very professional. The units overall are very nice. For a city like Boston where typical rental units are very old and worn down, Park Lane was very nice in terms of amenities. I lived in a 2 bed/2 bath unit, with hard wood floors, dishwasher and washer and dryer in unit. The walls can be a bit thin and often I could hear people at 2am in the hallways and the people above us pulling chairs out. Seaport attracts a lot of people during the warmer months and with the concerts during the summer, you CAN hear them inside your unit. This didnt bother me much and I actually enjoyed it. The rooftop was definitely my favorite spot. It often gets crowded but thats to be expected. I loved that the two buildings are connected underground through the parking garage, made it very convenient for rainy/snowy days and getting to the gym. Overall, I was happy living here. I think it definitely appeals to young professionals. Although very pricey, I do believe you get what you pay for here. The amenities are unbeatable and finding a safe area thats so close to downtown is very rare in Boston. read more

I moved in to Park Lane back in September with two Craiglist killers, jk they are totally awesome.. I really lucked out. Anyways, the apartment is a three bedroom, two bath with an amazing floor to ceiling window view of the Boston Harbor. Located right across the street from Legal Harborside and the Bank of America Pavillion and a ton of other great restaurants happens to be only one of the many perks. We are lucky enough (pay enough) to have concierge service, a gym, elevators, office space, rentable party room, parking garage, and a roof deck. The building also allows for pets which is literally the coolest part because I just got the cutest little pomeranian prince you have ever seen. Moving on, it is a bit pricey but because one of my roommates has been there for a few years we have a good deal. read more

Pros: Beautiful view of the harbor and downtown skyline from our 9th Flr. windows. Friendly concierge, especially Tianna and JJ. Great leasing agents (Kevin and Jackie) who helped us lease our apt. from WA. A couple of blocks from the Silver Line T-stop to downtown. Walking distance to the Financial district if you feel like walking when it's bright and sunny out . Right next to Yankee Lobster (awesome lobster dinners!) and Legal Seafood. Cool front row seats to take offs/ landings at Logan airport (the windows are double-paned and well-insulated). Cons: Noisy bathroom fans/light switch combo. Smell of marijuana through the vents on our first night here( mgt. sent a memo against smoking indoors shortly after, which was effective!). No lights in the bedrooms and closets (better bring your own lamps!!!). Roof deck dog poop. A scowling and rude leasing agent (Monica) when my husband gave notice to vacate our apartment at the end of the month. read more

Hi! I moved into Park Lane Seaport in March 2017. I could not imagine living in a better building in the Seaport for many reasons. First off, if you have looked at any of the other properties in the Seaport you definitely get the best deal for your money at Park Lane Seaport. They offer newly renovated apartments, that are not only spacious but have great views. As far amenities go they have a pretty spacious gym and the roof-deck as a killer view. They are in the process of renovating the roof deck, so I'm sure it will look great come summer 2018! The Consierge staff are incredible. So friendly and accommodating 24/7. JJ, Chay, Emmanuel and Kingsley are just the best! I miss them when I go away on vacation. They also work really hard to have quarterly free events for the residents. Our Christmas party was catered by Delfrisco's and was truly spectacular. The leasing staff is also fabulous! Anthony and Eddie are always willing to help. They are currently working with me to move into bigger unit when it opens up! I have no complaints - I think this is the best building in he Seaport hands down! Especially if you are looking to make friends with your neighbors. Lots of other single, fun, young professionals! read more

My wife and I moved in here in April of 2012 and departed in September of 2013 with our dog Abby. One of the main reasons we looked into this facility in the first place was its proximity to my wife's employment and also because they are one of the few apartment buildings in the Seaport that allows pets. We got a great apartment with a wonderful of the city and the water. This was our first apartment experience as we have always lived in the 'burbs and I have to say that we thoroughly enjoyed it. The prices are reasonable for the area. The parking garage under the building was also reasonably priced. The units are exceptionally well soundproofed and we rarely heard other tenets above, below or along side. The gym is very nice and was just updated before we left. The roof decks are amazing for their views and relax-ability. If you know the Seaport area at a all, you know this building is ground zero for all the great restaurants and bars in the area. We especially loved Sal's (best pizza and people ever) & 75 (great staff, food and bloody Mary bar). The building maintenance was always on top of any issues we had. The concierge staff is there 24/7/365 and are very friendly. The leasing office staff were wonderful in answering any concerns we had and also dealt very fairly with us when we had to break our lease (thru no fault of our own). Jackie in the leasing office was especially understanding and accommodating. We would recommend One Park Lane to anyone in the area and we would also pursue an apartment in any other Bozzuto Management run building in the Northeast. read more

I believe in fairness of reviews. I had recently given a "less-than-good" review here. I now wish to update the review status. Kayla has been checking off some of our issues. Slowly the elevators are being brought back on line. The guest apartment was furnished with dishware, coffee pt, etc. with the promise of near future furniture upgrades. And the bigger issue- the hot water is back working! No more cold showers! I do hope the current management does continue to listen to its tenants. They are going in the right direction. read more

Ok, Hi to all! So, I am an Author and International Keynote Speaker on habits and attitude... so, I travel a ton to speak all around the world. That being said, I decided that I will conduct some training workshops in the greater Boston area for a few months, while still traveling to speak on stages around the globe. So, I needed to grab either temp housing, or do an AirB2b, or hotel, etc. I decided to check out the Seaport area as I've heard tons of great things about it. The very first place I checked out was Park Lane Seaport. They welcomed me with open arms and treated me in a fantastic way! Hats off to all of them in the office (Carmen, Kelly, Britney). I was initially concerned they would not do a short term lease for me... but very happy surprised to hear from them ... "Sure, we can do as low as a 3 month if you would like!" PERFECT! So, I rented right there on the spot. I thought the rental process would take a long time as well.... like 2 or 3 days, etc... Nope, they made it happen within an hour and 1/2! * Note, I'm sure that's probably not normal... and it normally takes, I would imagine at least a day or two for all of the credit checking, etc.. to go through. But, they knew I was in the area for just a few hours and that I was serious about locking down a condo right away before heading out that day for another speaking engagement. Done and Done ! BOTTOM LINE, THESE GUYS AND GALS ROCK OVER AT PARK LANE .... and I haven't really even moved in yet. Great apartment with updated appliances, floors, countertops, and other features. The main building has a club room and gym that are large and well kept. There is also a roof deck that is great for hanging out and enjoying the summer weather. Overall rent and parking is expensive but in line with other buildings in the neighborhood. The apartments also tend to be more spacious than other options in the neighborhood. The building is close to restaurants, a concert venue, movie theater, bowling, the harborwalk, and other great entertainment. The silver line is next door as well if you need to get to the airport or south station. Management is very friendly and there is a concierge available to help at all times if needed. They also take great care of packages and there are Amazon lockers for certain deliveries. read more

This is an update to my review I had wrote previously. While I enjoyed my stay at park lane from 2010-2012 I have to say the management is horrible. I had gone form loving the place when I moved to to hating it after having dealt with many problems at park lane. While i loved the location of it, it did get annoying living there during the summer with all of the seaport craze during the warmer days of spring and summer. Traffic became somewhat of a joke and parking was annoying. Bozutto had caused nothing but problems for me towards the end of my stay here to the point I felt I was being discriminated against and opened a file with the housing board for discrimination. _________________________________ Old review from Jan 2010. I moved in here in January and have loved it ever since. I have an amazing view and it is in such a nice, clean, developing area. Much different than living in downtown boston like the devonshire, which you would walk out of your building and basically see homeless people or the archstone on washington street. This is one of the main reasons I chose Park lane. It is an upscale living with concierge service, where you get set up your dry cleaning service and pick it up from them as well as packages from ups, fed ex. There are 3 buildings to park lane the gym is located in the main building where the leasing office is. The gym is a bit small compared to your average GYM, but for it being in an apartment building, it is fine. Much similar to that of a hotel gym (but a little bit bigger) a room with cardio equipment and a room with free weights ( only go up to 50 lbs- but if your creative, you have make them heavier ). The devonshire's gym is SUPER tiny and JAM PACKED, however it does have a nice view because it is on one of the top floors. The devonshire had a pool and a sauna, which is nice but the gym was a big turn off due to its cluttered-ness. Some of views from the devonshire were disappointing to us on the tour, for example we saw a building being renovated and the rooms were much smaller and more expensive. Park lane has a little bit bigger rooms, for cheaper, but it is further from the city. However, it is conveniently located to the silver line T. If you download an app on your iphone you can time it so you don't have to end up waiting outside in the cold or rain which is great! the T stop is literally behind the Park lane building. Some of the rooms ( like we have ) have an amazingggggg view of the water and overlook Logan airport. It is NOT noisy from the planes. Jerry Remys just opened across the street, as well as LTK and Salvatores which just underwent renovations. Legal seafoods flagship restaurant is opening soon as well as Del Frisco's and Tezmacal ( some mexican cantina). Maintenance is very helpful around here and are fairly quick at resolving a work order if placed to the leasing office. This is one of the things we LOVED about when touring Park Lane which made us decide upon living here out of all the other luxury high rises in the city. One down fall is the elevators sometimes break. There are 2 in my particular building, one was out for a good 8 weeks, which made things slow. People would be waiting for the 1 working elevators which would make your wait time sometimes up to 3-5 minutes, which it would normally be like less than 1 minute to 2 minutes wait. Park lane also allows pets which other places don't. They're so many furry lil' pets running around on leashes in the lobby! Park lane also has a parking garage RIGHT below the building, the devonshire I think only had valet ( which they charged you an arm and a leg (no thanks) or the government center parking garage which was like a 10 minute walk away. The Devonshire or Archstone aren't near any grocery store either. Park lane is in seaport, considered Southie and less than a 5 minute drive into Southie, you find Stop n Shop ( not the biggest one, but it works!) There is also a J Pace and sons right below the 1 Park lane building open till like 8 pm which has liquor, wine, grocery supplies, food, fresh deli's, fresh made sandwhiches, sodas, candy, etc. So it is convenient to have right next to you. Also about a 5 minute walk down the street is a DD and 711! It is super convenient to the Mass pike and 93, the ramps are right down the road! It couldn't be easier. Plus you don't have to deal with literally all the ONE WAY streets like you do in the actual city which make you waste of bunch of time driving around like a fool. I have only visited this apartment building, I do not live here. What I can tell you is that it is located in possibly the hippest, newest, part of Boston. You will have amazing views of the city and water, but you will pay a steep price. I believe that it is about $4,000 for a 3 bedroom. You have access to an amazing roof deck every night until 11PM (no after party's people). The lobby is always buzzing on the weekends from what I have seen, it's reminded me of a small Vegas hotel. The demographic in this building seems to be a mix of young attractive professional and older with money. read more

Easy living if that's what you call living in a box, waiting on elevators - there is always one broken - and watching your rent go up about 10%-15% a year. Watch out for garbage Mondays. On a warm day when the wind is blowing, which it always is, the whole building fills with the stench of a well used dumpster. Park Lane Seaport is advertised as luxury living. Alas, it is luxury as defined by one who hasn't hasn't experienced true luxury and doesn't know it is more than an mediocre view and high prices. Luxury is attention to detail, a refined sense of customer service and anticipating client needs. In all such areas and so many more, Park Lane Seaport is found sorely wanting. I've lived in Park Lane for a year and it's been great. The staff in the leasing office are all wonderful and attentive. The maintenance team is great as well and always on call. And if you have a pet this is the building to live in! I moved here with a three month old puppy and everyone has been fantastic helping me with her. I feel like I'm part of family living here. The apartments themselves are spacious and well laid out. The roof deck has the best view in Boston and is rarely full which is great. The biggest rip off in the City.....they get away with it just because of the dog thing ( and that's why we ended up there). A total nightmare. Arrogance and ignorance is a bad combination. And they excel in both. ...this letter (excerpted ) never received a response. " I was outraged to wake up this morning at 530 am and have no water whatsoever in our apartment. . I needed to be at Logan at 630 am for a flight which was immediately followed by a series of business meetings. Your disregard for your tenants has caused me to attend important meetings with bed head and if you had any sense of professionalism you would understand that placing your tenants in that position is absolutely unacceptable. There was NO notice of this . yet another gross inconvenience to your tenants. The front desk attendant "thought" that we were notified by email. There was NO such email. And what incompetent management company chooses to turn off access to water at the precise time tenants are preparing to go to work ? That move demonstrates that management is incompetent , uncaring and inept. We rented at Park Lane in April as our condominium is undergoing significant construction and we frankly did not want to live in the midst of construction chaos. At no time during the rental process in March were we advised that Park Lane would be undergoing major lengthy and disruptive construction as well. Had that information been disclosed to us we would NOT have leased at your property. We are currently paying $4200.00 per month plus $325.00 per month for parking and our unit is 970 SF. Since we moved into Park Lane there has been one fiasco after another. Considering the rent you collect NONE of these situations is acceptable. They include: * on our first day of occupancy a snapping, growling dog that lunged for my dog and me at the elevator . It was the poster child for your exhaustive list of breeds that are allegedly not allowed in the building but appear in abundance *dust and dirt emanating from your lobby renovation project that we walked through on a daily basis for months * a virtual maze of ever changing means of entry and egress including a day with egress only via the loading dock and past the stinking dumpsters , trash and garbage. For this we pay $4200. a month. * I have had pink residue in the bathroom sink , toilet and tub since your construction started. Your maintenance person couldn't explain it but a simple Google search explains and I understand the residue to be non threatening bacteria emanating from the construction itself. The residue is obviously dispersed via the water in the sink and shower. That is disgusting. For this we pay $4200. a month *It is impossible to get (even pink residue bacteria filled) hot water in the shower after 10 am. * circa 1980 Overstock.com appliances that are loud as well as ergonomically absurd . The short fridge with the freezer on the top is made for dwarves and is ridiculous. * trash chutes that are clogged more often than not and have an overwhelming stench . For this we pay $4200. a month. You advertise the apartments as luxury living. This in my experience is far from luxury and for us has been has been an incredibly expensive trip to hell .Todays event displays a total disregard for rent paying tenants and it topped the entire experience off. When we initially signed our short term lease we expected certain amenities to be available to us. A decent lobby area, meeting areas , common rooms were all part of your luxury pitch. They disappeared immediately due to the construction with no diminution of our rent. A bit of bait and switch by Bozzuto even before the construction adventures and multiple inconveniences. We fully expect a downward adjustment to our October rent in recognition of todays massive inconvenience. Further we demand advance notice of discontinuation of basic services including heat and water in the future. Congratulations on succeeding to make this the most unpleasant living experience of my entire 6 decade life. read more

The building and amenities are great. The units are updated(except kitchens) and are pet-friendly. The gym and lobby are also very nice. Bozzuto management and the leasing office is AWFUL. They are rude, entitled and generally don't care about residents. They also will tell you that "you are the only one complaining about cigarette smoke" or "are the only tenant who complains that the lobby renovation is 4 months overdue." They try and isolate tenants despite the overwhelming consensus being they are rude and awful to work with. Some of my personal issues were: 1)Apartment smelled of cigarette smoke for 4 months straight. Had to stay in a hotel many nights because smoke was so bad. My poor pug also suffered. Response "how should we know where the smoke is coming from? call the police if its an issue" $3600 rent for a 2 bedroom you think they would try harder 2) Lobby renvo went 4 months over scheduled. Dusty filthy lobby. Months went by were 0 work was done because they were waiting on "permits" Response "you are the only tenant who cares" when actually every single elevator discussion was upset tenants. 3) Cable in gym didn't work for 4 months. They just didn't care. 4)Never respond to emails. EVER. I asked when they never responded and they let me know "well we are very busy people." Pathetic. I discussed the cigarette smoke with my neighbors and they all complained to the leasing office as well. But the leasing office assured me "Only you have this issue. Everyone else is perfectly happy." They are taught to lie. Long story short, I really wouldn't have left so upset if the leasing office just didn't care. But they didn't care and were incredibly rude. They will also respond to this post with some BS, but rest assured, nothing will change. They will continue to raise rent 30% a year for existing tenants. Also, in the filtered section, notice all of the FAKE 5 star reviews written by the leasing office. Nice try! read more

The building is now one of the most expensive in Boston and while there are a lot of nice things, the management seems pretty bad. We've lived here for about a year and a half and they started major construction in April and it's still going on now. Besides the fact that it is a huge eye sore and that it's incredibly disruptive, it was totally unnecessary. They ripped out basically brand new bathrooms and essentially just retiled and painted everything from white to black. It's only nice to live here in the summer so starting it in the spring and running through the entire summer is completely obnoxious. There also seems to be a weird mix of families that moved in post rent sky rocketing and young people who locked in to long term, low cost leases. It creates a weird community dynamic where you may hear a baby crying or end up walking onto an elevator full of crushed up beer cans. I also get annoyed that they consistently leave the doors open, especially since the construction started. Obviously it's in a very crowded area and there's access to a public parking garage from the building so non residents are always coming in. For $3K+ a month... I just expect a little more.... we'll be moving out for sure at the end of our lease. read more

Proud to say that I am a brand new yelper! My wife just introduced me and we collaboratively agreed to post about Park Lane Seaport when we got a fee moment. We both wanted to let others know of our mixed-bag of experiences we encountered while taking residence in this apartment building. Pros: One cannot deny how breathtaking the apartment complex is itself. It boasts the most beautiful waterfront views right on the harbor. I love the location particularly because it is so close to my job on State street/ financial district. Everything in the area is primarily new and within walking distance. We love that the building is also pet friendly as many pet owners can vouch that it is very hard to find a high end apartment that readily accepts dogs in the area. Cons: (Sigh, the laundry list beings..) Management is in desperate need of re-tweaking. Property manager comes off as crass and uninterested in her job. Leasing staff act as her gatekeepers and turn you away if you ask to speak with her. She is never in the office during office hours to talk to and if you email her cordially you are rudely ignored. Example: Management sent out an email with precautions to take during hurricane Irene. Being new to hurricanes my wife wanted further explanation about parts of the email so emailed the manager back. After no response for the better part of the day my wife decided to call the leasing office to ask specifically for the property manager. After asking another consultant to talk to her, put on hold for 5 minutes she was finally connected to her phone line. When she picked up the property manager acted as if she didn't want to be bothered, made snide and sarcastic remarks about not being in control of natural disasters and began shouting through the phone. She clearly did not want to be bothered with the email she just sent out, did not even feel like offering a consoling ear during a time un easiness and totally shirked off her role as a property manager. Example 2: I went downstairs to drop off our rent check on the 1st of the month and I could hear the property manager swearing grunting and yelling about another tenant from her office from the main office. I do not know how in an economy like this a person so unhappy, and outwardly unhappy about her job is able to keep it and not replaced. I shrugged off these experiences because they seemed small and I realize sometimes people have a bad day..in this case day(s). I have since asked my neighbors in passing conversation about similar experiences and it is general consensus that this woman is generally miserable in her career. I do not suggest people who don't like dealing with others should not be in the hospitality industry let alone property management. On a positive note though I will vouch for others in the leasing office who are actually competent. If you have a problem ask for Jackie. She has always made a prompt effort and every transaction with her has been a smooth and pleasing one. I have also noticed that there are also a couple fresh new faces in the office who seem to have a warm and eager disposition. Maybe corporate is realizing the problem and is undergoing some restaffing. Hopefully this means a more pleasant experience for the residents of Park Lane Seaport. We look forward to the changes in the future and hope to renew our lease if things become pleasant. read more

Do not move into this building unless you like the sound of jackhammers in the morning. Renovation is constant in both buildings as they are numerous new apt buildings coming up in the area and they must compete with these new real luxury buildings. I see no end to this renovation because as tenants move out the apt is then renovated. Renovation is supposed to be done between the hours of 9-5 and apparently management thinks that all their tenants have careers enabling them to work these hours. They do not even adhere to this 9-5 policy, noise has started as early as 7:30 am. If you have a career that forces you to work at night you will not be sleeping during the day with all of the renovation noises. Tenants who are paying extremely high rent for what is supposed to be luxury living are subjected to this with no compensation for the "inconvenience". We are only issued a SORRY. Management states that this will make Park Lane a better place to live. How does this benefit current tenants? Offers to transfer to the newly renovated apts are given. Perhaps looking at the shiny new tile will make you deaf to the renovation . I contacted the regional manager by email and phone and have not had a response despite several attempts. As a real estate broker, I tend to be pretty picky about where I live and I love living at Park Lane! I moved here about a year ago after living in a Back Bay brownstone for over 5 years and I have to say there is a greater sense of a community here than I ever experienced in Back Bay. I have made so many great friends here - we get together all of the time and my neighbors are people I can truly count on, which makes Park Lane feel like a true home. I have a big dog and if you have a dog or love dogs, this is the place to be! We have doggie play dates and there's always someone there to lend a hand if you have a 'dog walking emergency'. The roof deck is my favorite place to hang out in the building - with great roof deck furniture, Legal Harborside take-out sushi across the street and some of the best water views in the Seaport, it can't be beat. Maintenance issues are taken care of very quickly - I've never waited longer than 24 hours for a non emergency maintenance request to be handled. I could go on and on about how much I love where I live but the overall theme for me is that it feels like home here. Even though it is a large, full service building with great amenities and modern apartments, it still feels cozy and special...I have close relationships with my neighbors, the concierges, maintenance team, and the leasing staff; it's like a family here and I love being a part of it. read more

We moved in to Park Lane three months ago and are very happy with our apartment and the building. Any minor issues we had were resolved immediately. We love the area, the rooftop deck overlooking the harbor, the gym, and the great layout of our apartment. It's quiet and a great mix of people. read more
