At 10pm on a Friday, it was full of clearly locals, enjoying their company and the last few glasses from their bottles of red wine. It was so nice to see patrons ordering by bottle, not the glass, although the option for not just glass but demi carafe is there. The menu is limited but works.. They offer an excellent, classic charcuterie plate, available small or large, and we had delicious salamis, as well as one cheese that had depth and made the Menervois taste just right. When the tripe was asked for, it was suggested this may not be the best choice for my 17 year-old son. Good advice, as we both (I'm no tripe eater,other offal ...yes) enjoyed the delicious Confit Canard. Our only observation was that the skin could have been crispier, but the flavour was just right. When I asked for stronger cheese than the 3 offered, it was no problem, and a cake-size slice of strong cheese came straight out at room temperature. Delicious. There was no problem having a taxi called, and overall this was a very good local, yet utterly Parisian restaurant. Even Bouley, Boloud, or Ducasse would struggle to replicate the simple success of evening.

The design was great and everything was quite comfortable so kudos to Philip Stark. We were happy with both the service and the food quality at this spot. We were seated straight away by the friendly hostess, and our server was on point, and gave me a nice recommendation for wine. We got a very nice little table outside, but with a large umbrella for shade from the sun - nice! My husband had a steak that came with crispy French fries and a very nice and delicately dressed salad. He was happy with his choice. I had the steak tartar, and while it was good, it was not the best I've had. The accompanying mixed greens were very tasty, as was the coffee. It was a nice little oasis in the midst of the tremendous flea market!

Anyways, I think this is a great place to hang and have a drink, but food wise it is a-ok. Not too impressed with the over all experience, maybe because our food was more on the dry side. My favorite for the night (believe it or not) was my drink, Desperado, beer with tequila served in a glass with ice cubes. Not sure if I would come back again. However, if I were to be invited back, maybe I should try their burgers and fries or fish n chips...lol (guess I am an American...haha!!)
