We were visiting Ft. Meyers and in our typical style did not book anything in advance as that is how my travels are. After a wonderful evening walking the streets of downtown Ft. Meyers and hopping restaurants, we decided to book this hotel as itvwas not so far and we try to stay with Marriot. This is a much older hotel, has 3 floors and you have to zip zag to get to the elevators. The room was decent sized, again dated feel to it and a musty smell that was pretty prevalent in the hotel itself. The beds were very comfortable however the bathroom looked old and there were a few bugs we spotted on tje wall and floor It was fine for one night stay but don't expect a luxurious offering here. read more

Booked this hotel as part of a package with Murder Mystery Dinner Train (which is a blast). Being weary from travel was not thinking clearly when the front desk showed us a map of the room choice. There was no verbal warning on just how LOUD the street noise is. IF you book here request an interior room that faces the courtyard/pool area. The hotel is very close as the train ride is over well into the evening. The mattress was very comfy. The TV was hard to hear even at full volume. If you are going on the train, you might want to price shop around...the rate was not that much of a discount, but it included a limited breakfast. To eat at The Bistro, it had only a few chairs that would be safe for challenged seniors to sit at safely (counter and bar height stools) and only ONE table that would be wheelchair ADA compliant (and no signage on it being reserved for wheelchairs). It certainly could not handle a full hotel eating at the same time. Be sure to tell Starbucks that you have the Train Package as you get a different limited menu but still pretty good. It did not include bagels or pastries. PACK your own USB ports since there were NONE to be found in the room - I guess you could find one behind the TV. Marriott needs to know that this is the 21st Century after all. The pool is only open from Dawn to Dusk and in the winter dusk, comes very early! read more

This place is has a great location for what we're planning to do. Which was a bowling tournament. the hotel is next door to the Ale house so we walked over and had a nice dinner. The room is clean. There was a refrigerator, microwave, & a coffee machine. But! The place ran out of hot water! We like to take showers at night & we like to take a shower at night. The water would not warm up. We called the front desk and no one answered. At 3 am we tired the shower again and still no hot water. Finally at 7 am we got lukewarm water with no good water pressure. read more

Had a great stay ! The highlight for me was the evening service at The Bistro served by Lilli, she was so hospitable and kind to me. She made sure that my food was fresh and always made helpful recommendations, she is much appreciated. The front desk staff is kind and attentive , the location is convenient. I would recommend. Staff staff STAFF!!! Julia during the week days and Josiah during the weekends were two of the most kind, outstanding genuine people I have met while being in Fort Myers for a week. 5 stars to both of them! COVID Changes: The rooms are clean and sanitized, enough so that I gave my kids a sitting bath in the tub. The fitness center has a two person limit and must be reserved at the front desk for the gym only key to checkout. All machines wiped down and clean. The housekeeping is spot on and the team is very friendly. Masks are worn by all staff and no one is being a drill Sargent if you forget yours when you exit your car upon entry. Gently reminders go a really llooonnngggg way! Kudos on the Marriott Hospitality training! Location is very close to the executive airport so if you're outside you can hear the private jets pass over as their approach is directly over the hotel. Didn't hear one of them inside of my room- so no need to worry. Enjoyed our 2 weeks at the hotel as we house hunted and reserved another week because of the staff! Conveniently next to amazing food restaurant at walking distance. *Only downside is that some of the rooms have a significant gap in the bottom where an iPhone 12 easily slide in and out. Who knows what else could? * Hallways to common areas have roof tiles with mold stains that are not pleasing. *Some renovations including removal of rugs in the rooms would be beneficial and replacing them with tile. I am an elite Marriott rewards member and have stayed at my fair share of Courtyard Marriott locations over the years. I must say this location is by far the worst one we have ever stayed at. The front desk staff was downright rude to us and were very unaccommodating. When we arrived we asked to be put in a room on the first floor near our friends and they told us they were sold out and all the first floor rooms were taken. As we are checking in the people checking in next to us were given the first floor. When I asked how they got their room on the first floor she said it was because the computer assigned it that way. I asked if all the people assigned to the first floor were checked in and she said no so I asked to switch to the first floor to a room that wasn't checked in yet and they refused. She said they just don't do that and she would not move our room to be closer to our group. We were also harassed by the front desk staff while hanging out in the lobby of the hotel since it was raining outside and were told to shut up. Yes you read that right. We were not asked to keep it down, but yelled at to shut up. There were two large groups staying there and we were all in the lobby watching the Eastern Conference finals for Hockey and no one was loud after 11 PM, yet they kept coming over to tell us to shut up or go to our rooms. This hotel has the most unprofessional staff ever! Would not recommend this hotel or stay at this location again. read more

I needed a last minute reservation and was a little concerned about some of the reviews that the Courtyard by Marriott Fort Myers had on Yelp. I knew that checking in after 11pm with the hotel almost at capacity didn't help because there would be less to choose from. Thankfully I had nothing to worry about. The hotel has had a recent renovation and is everything that you expect from a Courtyard. My room is wonderfully comfortable and very clean. It feels like a brand new hotel. The front desk staff was friendly and accommodating. There is free high speed internet, a fitness center and a nice pool. The Bistro has a variety of healthy choices and Starbucks coffee. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. It also serves as a bar in the evening. read more

I usually know what to expect at a Marriott Courtyard, but this hotel in Fort Myers fell short for us. My husband and I are Platinum Elite Marriott members so we usually receive a free room upgrade. This was not the case during our trip and to make matters worse we received a room located outside the ice machine and elevator. I understand that the hotel was under renovation so half of the rooms were unavailable. Perhaps this is why we received the room that we were in? The downstairs lobby appeared to be recently remodeled and included a sleek computer and longe area and a cafe that served breakfast, lunch and bar snacks. Our hotel room had not been renovated and was outdated, but clean. My main complaint was that the curtains and window shades were dusty and irritated my allergies throughout the night. It turns out we were also near the airport so we could hear a lot of the louder planes taking off throughout the evening and early morning. We selected this hotel due to the close proximity of my husband's early morning client meeting, but we both agreed it wasn't the best location to stay. This hotel is located a few miles outside of the historic downtown so you'll need a car to explore the area. There are a few restaurants and a grocery store within a reasonable walking distance from the hotel, but you'll need a car if you want to go to Sanibel or Fort Myers Beach. I'm sure this hotel will be so much nicer after the renovation, but I don't think we will stay here again since there are several nicer Marriott hotels nearby. read more

I have a few more complaints, but I don't want to bore yall with those details. +The lobby has been nicely remodeled and food (breakfast and dinner) at The Bistro was quite tasty! Marriotts are typically all the same. This one is standard with a bistro, outdoor pool, balcony suites available, free parking and a nice lobby. The lobby is not only family friendly but also has private small booths with individual televisions for the business types. I saw the staff cleaning the windows from the balcony (+) but my room had a wine bottle behind the tv when I checked in. It was definitely easy to miss so it didn't bother me that housekeeping missed it. As a gold member, I was given a jr suite upgrade. It's not too far from downtown ft Myers (10 min drive). I was going to Fort Rock this year and needed a hotel. I believe I found a deal through Groupon to stay here, and it definitely fulfilled it's purpose. The room was nice and had plenty of room to stretch out, worked on my book a little bit before I went off on my mad search for Fort Myers craft beer... and going to Fort Rock. It was a nice layout for a hotel with a gym, pool, nice lobby area with a cafe to order food. Check in was easy. Check out was easy. In terms of location, it's about 20-25 minutes from JetBlue Park where Fort Rock was taking place -- with the airport across the street, it's close to the breweries located on 441, and about 15 minutes to Downtown Fort Myers. I didn't attempt going to the beach but traffic seemed to be a little haywire going in that direction at all times -- so if you're a beach bum, you may want to look at closer accommodations. Anyway, I was happy with my accommodations at Courtyard. The hotel fulfilled their role in my weekend getaway. read more

We were part of a rather large group, 74 rooms, that spent 4 nights here. 90% responsible adults in town for a bowling tournament that we had been looking forward to for a year. I am a frequent traveler and have stayed in many hotels , international as well and I agree An OCCASIONAL reprimand from front desk may be necessary. We stayed here for 2 nights. The front desk never told us there was no housekeeping services. They appear to still be in the inept covid period. The light in the bathroom is awful for applying makeup. The only mirror is in the bathroom. There are not any mirrors in the sleeping area. The shower door is an engineering nightmare. We heard occasional banging at night and in the morning. We finally figured it out when we inadvertently switched the shower doors. When you open the door to the bathroom it bangs into the shower door. Of course one should have it this way or else the water from the shower goes all over the floor. When we arrived there were 3 tissues in the tissue box and no other tissue boxes. We checked out on the Marriott App and received a receipt. 30 minutes after checking out the hotel called and asked me if we were checking out or in. I said we were checking out and were gone. The hotel said ok and hung up. No thank you or anything. When I spoke with the front desk about no housekeeping the young lady argued with me. So small annoyances but still annoyances. I'm a titanium Marriott Member and I expect more. read more

4 Stars for an easy stay with convenient places to sit and work and helpful staff. The room itself is not something overly memorable, but one thing that was memorable was the lobby set-up. I was needing to meet with a few people and was able to use the bistro area as an informal work station. There are booth-like areas that feel private in the way they're laid out and also a high top long communal table- all with outlets for the insane amount of electronic devices I had to plug in. A lot of these hotels (similar price and level) have a business center which consists of a room with a few computers but this one takes a more modern communal approach with an open plan design and smaller nooks for privacy. I really appreciated this! Another thing I appreciated was the willingness of the front desk staff to help me out with scanning a document. The computer area doesn't include a scanner (a combined printer/copier/scanner would definitely be a good addition) so they were willing to use their back room scanner and email me the document I needed. It was a huge help and they did it with smiles. Overall, a productive stay. A room is just somewhere to sleep- this hotel has other areas that made it stand out. read more

The Courtyard of Fort Myers was an adequate hotel with it's share of good and bad. When we checked in we immediately noticed the air conditioner wall unit in the bedroom was literally falling out of the wall and laying on the floor. The plaster was cracked along the wall above the unit! We called the front desk, who sent engineering. The unit was functional so we decided to stay in the room- and to the hotel's credit they gave us a 50% discount on the room. Strange though that housekeeping didn't alert the front desk. The room itself is dated and has that typical hotel musty smell. The bathroom, especially the shower/tub was unimpressive. The tiles in the tub area were old and stained. The bed was comfortable enough and the room was quiet at night. We did not have bedding for the pull out and had to call the front desk for some to be sent up. Also, they don't provide lotion as one of the toiletries. I didn't pack it because it is usually standard hotel fare- even el cheapo hotels provide lotion. The first floor near the elevator smelled strangely of... band aids. Weird. We went to use the pool but there were no towels. We had to walk to the front desk and request that more be sent. The outdoor heated pool and indoor hot tub were nice. The pool is surrounded by rooms though, which is odd. Everyone can voyeur at you while you are laying out and swimming. The breakfast buffet was way overpriced considering the low quality food you are provided. Powdered eggs, paper thin bacon and over processed sausages are not worth $10.25. Free coffee is offered in the lobby though, with to-go cups. This hotel is also DIRECTLY in the flight path of a nearby small airport. You could literally throw a rock and hit one from your balcony, if you tried. It made me a little nervous, being as a small plane had just crashed into a Publix at a small airport near my house not 2 weeks prior. If one of those planes goes down on approach it is going to crash directly into this Courtyard! read more

I'm a huge Courtyard fan, but this stay very disappointing. I made the reservation using the Marriott app. Would have been nice if they could have warned me a major construction upgrade was taking place. I probably would have booked it anyway, but still. Guest services was able to check me in at 11:30. Very grateful because I had a conference call scheduled. The TV reception was lousy on some of the cable channels. I reported it to guest services. The satellite provider told the general manager that it was due to the cloud cover, and the GM bought this explanation. I think this hotel needs a new GM to buy such a ridiculous reason. The reception was no better the next day when the skies were clear. Nothing was ever done about it. read more

Location leaves a bit to be desired - I was car-less, so it seemed my options were Miller's Ale House (really thankful for that!), 7-Eleven, or McDonald's. The bistro in the lobby had pretty limited hours (e.g., closed at 9:30a). As others have noted, no complimentary breakfast. (I believe it was $8 for a bagel and a cup of fruit.) My room was fine - clean enough, comfortable enough - but not anything to write home about. The pool area was why I opted for this hotel in the first place and it didn't let me down. We stay in Marriott properties wherever we go so we're familiar with the Courtyard brand. It's clean and comfortable, as you would expect. They are undergoing remodeling and from what we've seen the update is very nice. We had a slight issue with the shower doors and some leftover debris in our remodeled room and it was addressed the same day. Every contact we had with staff was great. You expect good customer service at a Marriott property but the folks here were really superb and on point. The airport is close by but we never heard any planes so don't worry about the location. The Bistro breakfast was pretty good and fairly priced. I would recommend this hotel if you're in the area. read more

This is a typical Courtyard, yes the lobby is updated as well as the fitness center, but I still feel like stuck in 1970 when I walk down the halls. All the rooms have fridge's as well as flat screens. The other issue I have with Courtyards is no free breakfast for priority members. Yes, I'd stay here again. read more

I stayed here for 10 days while in town on business. I usually stay at a different Marriott location but due to basketball and baseball tournaments in town almost every hotel around was booked up. The location is nice with a decent amount of food and drink options in the area. When I checked in the staff was nice and helpful. They made sure I got the balcony I requested but unfortunately I was put on the road/highway side. I thought the road noise was going to bother me while in the room but the walls and sliding glass door was thick enough that I couldn't hear anything. The room wasn't very big but got the job done. The AC in the room got down super low which was awesome. I didn't get a chance to try their restaurant/café but other people staying here said it was very good. The parking lot is gigantic which was needed bc almost every night there were multiple buses parking overnight due to said tournaments. All in all my experience was good and I could definitely see myself staying here again. 4.5/5 read more

Every Courtyard I have stayed in has been nicer than the one in Fort Myers. The pros: - The check in staff was friendly and helpful. She upgraded us to a room facing the pool so that we could get to the room faster - It is next to Miller's Ale House - There is ample parking The cons: - It is outdated - Rooms are very small. There was a sofa bed in our room and I don't think we could have walked around if we had opened it. - Mattresses are uncomfortable - The a/c unit was really loud. It sounded like someone inside was banging it with a wrench. Needless to say, it kept us up at night. - The walls are paper thin so we heard every time anyone got ice or walked by. - The bistro has terrible hours. In the afternoon we wanted a beer at 4 pm but it didn't open until 5 pm.In the morning it closed at 9:30 am so we could no longer buy coffee at 9:55 am even though the person attending it was still there. read more

The rooms were fine, pretty much par for the course for a Courtyard. I had a great view of...the parking lot. Where the hotel gets its stars is the service -- they went above and beyond to make sure my co-workers and I had everything we needed for our two days of meetings in their conference rooms. Even when a freakish storm zapped our power for 20 minutes during a crucial part of our meeting, they jumped into action with generators and portable lights to get us going again ASAP. Plus they let us make tons of free copies and use the rooms well before and after our scheduled time for set-up and takedown. Plus they didn't mind when some of our rougher-looking focus group participants mingled with the guests in the breakfast nook. Yay for the Courtyard! read more

This Courtyard experience was good. As you walk in you will see a neat lobby area with a small reception and convenient coffee shop. The rooms were updated and very clean. The bathroom was average sized and well kept. The pool area was small but with a neat patio set to hangout. The parking lot was great with plenty of spaces and well kept. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I asked for more bath supplies late at night and was helped out with no problem. My only complaint was the room service staff next door vacuuming the hall way at 8:00 am. Why? Other than that, I will stay here again and will recommend. read more
