Service was good. Def better than any motel 6 or any crappy choice hotel brands. Kinda older but furniture still good condition. Staff was accommodating and obliged customer requests. Should be updated for the price they charge but this weekend was EXPENSIVE. Dunno why..

8/9/18- from the Minute I called Josiah was very efficient pleasing explained everything traffic how to get there what time check-in was when I arrived he was working as well easy check and gave us a great room breakfast was included with our deal nice breakfast counter juices yogurt eggs I think they were powder and I can't swear but the whole experience was very nice never used the pool we went to do that murder mystery train ride included with the hotel. Great show . Josiah thanks for making things easy Clean efficient but they only have bar open at certain times I'm visiting and at pool I'd like a beer or some cold drink. The Bistro food is always good but premodern and nuked. But the avocado toast is so very good . Not enough shade at pool. But it's all good

Rooms very clean. Linens very clean. Serves Starbucks and other breakfast/lunch selections. Has small shop for toiletries. Pool area nice. Gym room very clean and cozy. Friendly staff all around. Clean floors all around. Conveniently next to amazing food restaurant at walking distance. *Only downside is that some of the rooms have a significant gap in the bottom where an iPhone 12 easily slide in and out. Who knows what else could? * Hallways to common areas have roof tiles with mold stains that are not pleasing. *Some renovations including removal of rugs in the rooms would be beneficial and replacing them with tile. I recommend this location!

    Not mine.

Checked in and the a staff was awesome. The room was clean as far as I could tell until I closed the bathroom door and realized there was a washcloth still hanging I assume from the guest before me. ‍The side of the hotel I was staying on none of the ice machines worked on either floor. Don't get me wrong I am a lifetime Marriott customer and will continue to be but it is what it is.‍

Although you might not be able to tell, this is the staff cleaning the windows.

As a lifetime diamond member, my husband was even able to check in a bit earlier than we expected. Staff has been very nice and accommodating throughout our stay, by the way. Friendly. Our room with its king size bed and sofa was large. We always take advantage of the in room fridge and microwave. It looks freshly painted and decorated. The large screen TV is huge! The bathroom has a tub shower combination with shower curtain. The toilet seat is small and low, however. Lots of fluffy towels. Breakfast is included. My least favorite combo was the meal the first day -- a whites only egg something with greasy sausage pieces that look like a hot dog chopped up. The second day was a bit better with an omelet and sausage patties. Luckily they have waffles, cold/hot cereal, and breads to toast... One positive was the free bottled water provided. This was a nice amenity. We chose the hotel for its convenience. We were in town to watch our great grandson play in an invitational baseball tournament. And the fields were not far away. I'd stay here again.

Finally a hotel gets it right!! Valet fast and friendly. Cons l The gym is on the same floor as meeting rooms. (Didn't affect me but would suck if I had meetings at the time I wanted to workout.) What a charming place!…read more We were traveling from Naples to Orlando, but wanted to visit "Ding" Darling National Wildlife Refuge on Sanibel, so I called a few days before we got there to make a resesrvation at Tarpon Tale Inn. We had a brief misunderstanding about the length of our stay (just one night, but next time much longer), immediately resolved by Joe. A day or so before our visit, we got a detailed text describing the check-in process. The day of our visit, we got another text when the room was ready (about an hour before regular check-in). We were on a NWR drive-through at the time, and made it to Tarpon Tale within a half hour or so. When we got there, Joe met us, helped with our luggage, and then gave us a tour of the facility, directions to the beach, pulled out a beach chair for us, and introduced us to the happy little Tokay Gecko on the fence. He pointed out the ice cream parlor and restaurant across the street, and the coffee and bagel place next door. We got a room with a very nice queen bed, a small but well-provisioned kitchen, and a modern bathroom. We elected to have dinner at Gramma Dot's (at the marina nearby) and ice cream across the street. We slept very well in the quiet of a Sanibel evening, and checked out the next morning for another loop through the National Wildlife Refuge and to continue on our way to Orlando.

It was noticeably quieter, the pool felt cleaner, and there was much less hustle and bustle. The room itself was comfortable and met my expectations. The beds were comfortable, the pillows were just right, and the view was enjoyable. One word of caution: the shower can get pretty slippery, so be careful. The resort offers a complimentary welcome drink, but I wouldn't really call it complimentary since there's a mandatory $35 daily resort fee that covers various amenities, many of which you may not even use. I also don't drink alcohol, so it wasn't much of a perk for me. I did take advantage of the 24-hour fitness center and was pleasantly surprised. There was a good variety of equipment, the treadmills worked well, and they provided complimentary towels, water, and even apples. My only criticism is that the gym could use a more thorough cleaning. One thing to know before booking is that this resort doesn't have a beach. That wasn't a dealbreaker for me because the pool was very nice. My mother and I drove to Sanibel Beach, which was only about 10-15 minutes away. However, parking was difficult to find, it costs $5 per hour, and the mosquitoes were relentless. Unless you're set on visiting the island, I'd recommend relaxing at the resort instead. The elevators worked well, and every staff member I interacted with was friendly and professional. Overall, there wasn't anything particularly spectacular about this resort, but it provided a relaxing and enjoyable Fourth of July getaway for my family. I would recommend it to others. Personally, I probably wouldn't stay here again, although I wouldn't hesitate if it were my only option.

The entire area was clean, right on the beach, and the staff was friendly everywhere we went. The resort offers a ton of amenities: free kayaks, bikes, paddleboards, lounge chairs, and umbrellas. They also have paid options like fishing charters and other nearby excursions. There are three pools total -- two family pools and one adults‑only pool -- plus a couple of hot tubs. Our room was amazing. We were on the first floor with a perfect view of the beach. The adults‑only pool was right in front of our balcony, so we could relax, listen to the music, or join the trivia games happening throughout the day. The room itself was spacious and included a kitchenette with a stove, which made it easy to cook if we wanted to. You can stay busy here or do absolutely nothing -- we chose the "chill" route. There are two restaurants and a bar on the property, but if you want more options, you can walk about 15-30 minutes (rough estimate) or drive 2 mins (fyi paid parking) to the main strip with plenty of shops and restaurants. The front desk also told us about a trolley that runs for $0.75 each way or $2.00 for an all‑day pass. Everything was close by, we didn't get in our car until it was time to head home. We'll definitely be coming back. It's a little on the pricier side, but with everything included -- and probably more that I'm forgetting -- it's absolutely worth it.

The "Best" in Best Western Must Be a Joke…read more If you've ever wondered what it's like to check into a hotel that smells like a wet basement had a love child with a bottle of bleach, look no further than the Best Western Fort Myers Inn -- where comfort goes to die and "guest service" is just a rumor. We checked in after a 12-hour drive, dreaming of rest. Silly us! Rest is strictly forbidden here, especially on Sundays. If you value peace, privacy, or basic sanity, you'll love being forced to vacate your room mid-morning so housekeeping can "service" it -- whether you requested it or not. Apparently, your paid space is actually their space, and your plans mean nothing. Kids, homeschooling, fatigue... who cares? Let's talk atmosphere. The hotel smells unmistakably of black mold -- a sort of "Eau de Mildew" that greets you the moment you enter. The carpets? A masterpiece of filth. Take your shoes off for one minute and you'll find your feet magically transformed to charcoal. Who needs a spa treatment when the floor can exfoliate you for free? Now, the front desk staff... where do we begin? Imagine being helped by people who have the enthusiasm of DMV employees but without the knowledge, courtesy, or clue what their own policies are. Each question you ask is like a pop quiz they didn't study for. If intelligence were optional, they'd still be on a waiting list. To make it more exciting, they'll invent new "rules" just for you -- because consistency is overrated. Need to stay longer? Surprise! You'll be handed an undated piece of paper about "new policies" written on what looks like recycled printer paper, sprinkled with words like "Effective Immediately" and "Important Update." Totally official, right? And if you dare question them? Don't worry -- they'll handle it with the grace of a toddler denied candy. You'll be talked down to, pressured, and maybe even have the cops called if you use big scary words like "discrimination" or "policy clarification." In short, this place is a masterclass in how to lose loyal customers. Between the moldy air, filthy floors, clueless staff, and the bold new "We Can Kick You Out Anytime" policy, you'll leave refreshed -- by the realization that anywhere else on Earth would be better.
