Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Saskatoon Airport - Guest room

Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Saskatoon Airport

The Hampton Inn is located off Airport Dr off a tiny street between 45 and Cynthia barely a click…read moreaway from the terminal building at YXE airport. I'll be honest my previous impression of Hampton Inns were motels off interstates in the middle of nowheresville, USA. I've been to so many hotels on the continent from this brand to that brand and never really gave them much more than a moment's thought. Wow was I ever WRONG. I was so wrong I'm not ashamed to admit it and I am overly impressed with this hotel from the check in, cleanliness, politeness of the staff to the overall ballerness of this room which for me is only a single night stay close to the airport for a really early flight out. The check in desk even called me back about 10 minutes after settling in to ask if everything was to my satisfaction. What makes this hotel stand out like a diamond in the rough? It's always, the little things. The little things that make things better and just add up to an aggregate kick ass place. Some of the things I see in this particular hotel room are little pluses such as: -textured wallpaper -wooden hangers I can take off the cross bar! -modern stainless lamps -a large Samsung HD tv (50"?) -a bright large bathroom with a gazillion towels -Neutrogena soap products -plugs everywhere for all my electronics including USB ready power -all modern furniture and new rock surface tabletops -multiple tea and coffee packets in room -fridge, microwave, stainless organizer drawers -THICK WALLS -big comfortable couch -King bed -overly spacious room -immaculately clean This room is so clean I feel like I'm the first person using it. The sink didn't have a single water spot. I feel like I'm on a set. The layout of the room is a nice refreshing twist. Instead of the bed being on the side wall it's adjacent to the door and faces the window. While the view is not exactly Manhattan it's a nice clean open view and the room feels as spacious as outside. The space here seems almost unreal. I've been in rooms 1/3 the size in NYC. The vending and ice machine is in a seperate room no where near any guest room by the elevator. This ensures no noisy ice buckets being filled by you. I stayed at the Hyatt in Orlando International airport and those walls were made of bristol board. These walls are thick and I can't hear a thing from any other room which means I can blast my portable Bose speaker and not worry about disturbing a neighbor. Free parking, complimentary internet with my booking, airport shuttle, complimentary breakfast although I'm leaving too early to partake. I mean sure there are many things this hotel has that other hotels may have but this place is the complete package for business travelers. For the price considering how much hotels are in Saskatoon from all my other previous visits this place is so worth it. I don't come to Saskatoon very often but I'll make sure moving forward that Hampton Inns will be on my radar for the future. This Hampton Inn is the nicest, cleanest, most modern, friendliest, professional hotel I've been in a very long time. I can't believe I only paid what I paid to stay here.

Good breakfast, clean and comfortable, although the television service is not up to par.read more

I am disappointed in the Sasktel centre. I am only giving…read morethe Sasktel centre 2 stars and here are my reasons. 1. Sure the Saskatoon blades WHL hockey team plays there and they are my favourite hockey team in Saskatoon Saskatchewan. 2. The Saskatchewan Rush Lacrosse team plays there as well and ever since they started playing there I've been to a few of their games But here is the thing besides (Hockey and Lacrosse) there is one thing missing! And that is both WWE and AEW. Now I get that over the past few years WWE and AEW have been looking at other major entertainment hub cities in Canada. But I know that Saskatoon Saskatchewan has the potential to become a major major major Entertainment hub so we need Saskatoon Saskatchewan to fork out them big red carpet money transactions with WWE for WWE land over at PrairieLand Park and than at Sasktel Centre we need to host events like Monday Night Raw, Friday Night Smackdown, Saturday Night's Main Event, Clash at the castle, FastLane, Backlash, extreme rules, Wrestlemania!

We came to a Drop Kick Murphys and Pennywise concert. Very friendly and efficient security staff…read more Tons of concessions open with plenty of food, snack and beverage options. I tried a couple beer from local craft breweries and they were very friendly staff serving us. The signs marking seats might be a little brighter in the main concourse but I'm betting that at a hockey game it's a whole lot brighter in there in general. The displays commemorating former Blades players and highlights are cool as are the decals of past concerts. My biggest complaint, as an average height woman is that the seats are too small and close together. My knees burst from where they were pressed against the seat in front of me for the little time I wasn't dancing. Speaking of dancing, wow when the crowd got going in the seats in the bowl (regular hockey seats) the entire floor would get bouncing. The sound was amazing, the light crews were fantastic and didn't blind the crowd much.

UGH. Ok I have a lot of complaints from this place. First off: COAT CHECK STAFF WTF? Honestly…read morethey're so unorganized, definitely NOT worth spending $2 over. I waited 45 minutes to get my coat. I'm not exaggerating I timed this. They kept my number chip and then at the 40 mark they're like "sorry I don't have your chip anymore". I could SEE MY COAT why didn't they just let me go in and grab it??? I was one of the first people there to get my coat, and people who kept coming in after me got theirs and that's what made me so mad. And when I expressed my annoyance, they tell me to shut up. Straight up, this bitch rolls her eyes at me, tells me to shut up, and slams the door shut in my face - how FUCKING RUDE. The staff here aren't even worth 1 star. The amount of SASS and ATTITUDE these workers have holyyy. They're the ones who're bringing the rating of this even centre down. The staff is horrible if I haven't made myself clear. While placing my coat when I arrived, I gave him my coat along with my two other friends coat and a $20 bill. This guy gives me $10 back.. and I had to fight with him to give me my change of $4. Wtf is up with that? I've never been more angry at customer service than at this place. It's all a bunch of garbage; honestly never coming back to this place again because of the horrible customer service. Also, bartenders looked like they hated their life. Again, they treated their customers poorly.. they just started taking orders from whoever was in their face - never looked around to see who was there first. I had to wait 10 minutes to get a glass of WATER? What the actual fuck. Honestly over all: fuck the staff who work here. All of them should be fired, not one has earned the respect from me. If not all, then definitely all of the coat check staff. Every single one of them.
