Bathroom at the Courtyard by Marriott Valdosta
    Bruce K.

Only 17500 points which was way cheaper than anything in Hilton's portfolio so booked it for the one night. I arrived at 8pm. A friendly and efficient desk clerk checked me in, thanked me for my Titanium status, handed me a bottle of cold water, provided some information about the hotel (the Bistro is open) and gave me my key. This is the "new" lobby with seating areas, a small restaurant and the big television with computers and printers. The first room was clean, comfortable and then I noticed that the sliding door to the balcony did not lock and there was no bar. So I returned to the front desk and was given another key to a different room. Always check your security, kids. The second room was also clean, comfortable and while I did not have a balcony this time, the room was acceptable. I did not turn on the television, but I did use the free wifi at the work desk. The room has plenty of electrical outlets and there is a coffee machine. Plenty of parking, though perhaps a bit dark in some areas. I would stay at this hotel again if they keep this price point. Assorted scents in the bath room. Body wash was out.

I have stayed at plenty of Courtyards, and while they're not top of the Marriott line, most have been true 3 star hotels. This one is an exception. I can only give two stars for the entire experience. Check in was ok, the reception area has received updates, but once to our room (walked past housekeeping who was listening to music at outdoor volume, I was unpleasantly surprised. It has a sincere 1970 feel. The bathroom was dirty, I'm a big fan of the installed shampoo/conditioner/body wash, but not a fan of assorted scents and one being completely out. It's a place to sleep for the night but doesn't meet my expectations and doesn't Napier me to want to return

    Titanium Elite Welcome Gift

I frequently visit Valdosta And always stay here. I never had any issues until this most recent stay. 1. Did not get a welcome gift for being Titanium Elite, instead it was left at the door. 2. Stayed on 2nd floor, 3rd floor tenants had kids and it was noisy, sounded like the people above me wanted to make my life miserable by running and stomping on the floor from 0600-0100. 3. Room didn't have luggage holder, did not get one until I asked again on the 3rd day. 4. High speed internet did not work. 5. Asked to move rooms, no one contacted me. 6. Asked for welcome gift, it was left at the door. 7. Asked about the internet, was told that's how it is. I need to accept it.

If you have allergies stay away from this hotel. You won't be able to breath the next morning.

Quite literally the worst Marriott I have ever visited. I can't believe corporate hasn't closed them down. When I first entered my room I could smell an old wet mustiness. The next morning I woke up and could barely breathe. A brief inspection of the room revealed its little shop of horrors. Clogged AC filters, dust everywhere, and even black mold on the bathroom walls. I really should report them to the health department. It's obvious the maids aren't cleaning, maintenance probably got lost somewhere, and management just doesn't care. Do yourself a favor and book a reservation elsewhere. Your health depends on it.

We generally stay at Marriott properties and have positive experiences. However, this place missed the brand mark in the most important places. When we got to the room, we were exhausted and ready for bed. When I went to take a shower, a washcloth from the prior guest was still hanging on the shower curtain rod. The shower head was disgusting and the top bedding was soiled. To top it all off, this was a SUITE. Very disappointed.

Worst Courtyard Marriott had musty order upon checking into the room, reported problem to front desk. Front desk clerk said he could spray something in the room to make it smell better. Bathroom had broken fixtures and mold on the tub and tile area behind the door. Checked out and was offered a free item from the snack bar manage was not helpful blamed everyone in the hotel did stand up for the hotel only making motle grade

Surprise gift from guest services! They heard we were on our way to get our new puppy.

Not the level of quality or service I would expect from a Courtyard Marriott. Better options nearby.

Check-in went smoothly and we were in our rooms within minutes. After a long day of driving, we were glad to walk into a clean, spacious and comfortable room and bathroom. It had all the basics that we needed: mini fridge, microwave, flat screen tv, and more. We all slept soundly that night. We took advantage of the free continental breakfast the next day. It consisted of eggs, toast, juice, milk, etc. Instead of buffet style, they had a couple of nice ladies handing out food. Breakfast was consistent with other Holiday Inns we've stayed at. They have a coffee bar with tea and hot chocolate that you can take advantage of even after breakfast hours. The dining room was packed that morning. Check-out was also a breeze. Everyone we encountered was pleasant and helpful. Since we were only there for such a short period, we didn't get a chance to check out the amenities so I can't speak for those.

I'm super conflicted because despite the hotel being reasonable and the staff being very friendly, the clientele of the hotel seem to be sabotaging my view of the hotel. Look out; it's the return of the list monster. Here comes!!! The Good: - Parking was plentiful - Staff was super friendly. Check in made me feel VERY welcome - I know housekeeping has changed with the pandemic so instead of getting service during my (2 night) stay, I asked for 3 additional towels which I received without issue. - No one killed me in my sleep during my stay (I've had doubts with other stays) - Breakfast was awesome like expected. Hard to beat a Holiday Inn breakfast The Bad: - The clientele is loud to no end - The floors are sticky because the clientele have spilled sticky drinks EVERYWHERE - There are empty wrappers in the stairwell because the clientele doesn't respect the property The elevator is super slow and it jerks when you get on and press the desired floor button - One of the side entrances doesn't work no matter how many times you swipe your key and the lock accepts your key I can't see myself staying here again it's not because of the hotel itself but the clientele it caters to. There are lots of hotels in the area making this place nothing special.

When the South Georgia District of Al-Anon was selected to host the 48th Georgia Al-Anon/Alateen Convention with AA Participation, we were both honored and humbled. Plus it was the 75th Anniversary of Al-Anon. As the smallest district in the state of Georgia, we wondered how we could provide a meaningful, welcoming experience while staying within our budget. We prayed for the right place--and Rainwater Conference Center was truly an answer to those prayers. From our very first meeting, the staff embraced our vision as if it were their own. They didn't just provide a venue; they became partners in helping us create a weekend filled with hope, healing, fellowship, and recovery for families and friends whose lives have been affected by alcoholism & addiction. Over 300 people joined us from across Georgia, along with attendees from Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Alabama, and even California. Many were visiting Valdosta for the first time, and because of Rainwater and Valdosta Tourism, they left with a wonderful impression of our community and the genuine Southern hospitality it offers. Every person we encountered made us feel valued. Aldea, our sales representative, was there for every question, every detail, and every change with kindness and professionalism. Truly hands on deck throughout the weekend. Willie, the Operations Manager, was present throughout the weekend, ensuring everything ran seamlessly. Ray in operations worked alongside us with such dedication that he felt more like part of our convention family than a member of the staff. Carla and her catering team poured so much care into every meal. The banquet was exceptional, the lunches were delicious, and our opening-night ice cream social brought smiles to faces of every age. More than one guest said it was the best ice cream they had ever tasted! The dinner was elegant Michelle the Chef and her Sous Nathan pulled out all the stops. What touched us most wasn't just the beautiful facility or the outstanding food--it was the heart behind everything they did. Every interaction reminded us that we mattered, that our mission mattered, and that they genuinely wanted our weekend to be successful. There are moments you'll remember long after an event ends, and this weekend is one of those moments for so many of us. Rainwater Conference Center helped create an atmosphere where people could reconnect, find hope, strengthen their recovery, and build lasting friendships. That is a gift we will never forget. To everyone at Rainwater Conference Center, thank you for caring so deeply, serving so graciously, and helping make our convention far more beautiful than we ever imagined it could be. Your kindness, professionalism, and generosity touched every person who walked through your doors. If you're looking for a place to host a conference, meeting, banquet, wedding, or any special event, look no further. Valdosta is blessed to have Rainwater Conference Center right here in our backyard, and we wholeheartedly recommend it. We arrived as clients, but we left feeling like family.

The issues lies in the execution and staff. First off they told us that they didn't have the ingredients for the Signature Drink which upset the bride, but they had premade it and then soon after brought it out. This was a lack of communication for sure. Then servers went around many times looking at the place cards for dinner options. The wedding ended at 5:30, and we were not served food until 7:00. The staff seemed very unprepared, and they even forgot to give food to some of the bridal party who had to ask for their food. Also they brought tea out, but they never served it to us. So we had to get up and pour our own tea by getting cups from the bar. It was nothing more than a complete lack of preparation and communication. This should not happen when couples are paying you good money for a wedding like this one. Anyone in this area reading my review I highly recommend that you stay away and find another venue that is more prepared and attentive.

They weren't ready yet, but Nadira didn't hesitate. She went into action, baked them, and even plated them beautifully. She smiled and said, "I knew who they must be for." The next morning at breakfast, the magic continued. My granddaughter struck up a conversation with Davida, the breakfast host, and told her she was almost 10 years old. Davida smiled and said, "Well then, you need a special breakfast waffle!" She went out of her way to make breakfast extra special. As we were leaving, my granddaughter told Davida how much she wished she could stay longer. Davida replied, "Well, when you come back next year, I'll be here waiting on you."
