This is probably the worst Courtyard I've stayed in. Outside of the front desk (7/23) I found the staff to be helpful and pleasant. Rooms and lobby are on the older side of the Marriott styling and decor. The fitness center is a joke and the pool literacy has weeds as tall as small tree growing around the perimeter. There is only one lounge chair. The snacks/beverage area somehow has less options then I thought possible. The fitness center is a of old and dirty equipment. Location isn't terrible it seems to be located close to the best that Victoria, TX has to offer...that's not saying much. The television lacks NBC and most other channels, they're in the guide but you don't actually get to watch.: read more

Really a good property on room arrangement. Check-In was easy. The bartender was good but also requested attention as she was often behind closed doors. I had issues with my TV and though the remote was the concern... front desk had me go up there to get a new one vs coming to my room or inquiring on issue (I'm on the first floor) since he was the only one there. 2nd time he did come and remedied it. read more

This is hands down my most favorite Courtyard property as well as the best hotel in Victoria for the price point! Ultra clean and fresh smelling upon walking through the door. I've stayed here many times over the past few years and have zero complaints. The staff is awesome and always go above and beyond to make every stay enjoyable. The rooms are always impeccably clean! The beds super are comfy! I love the fact that the movie theater is walking distance away. The pool and whirlpool area are open until 11pm and there is a great sitting area with a fire pit which is perfect for remote work out of your room. A corner pantry in the lobby provides any forgotten items along with bottles of wine. The gym is small but equipped with plenty of cardio. The rooms are always reasonably priced and being a member of Marriot rewards earns a late checkout if desired. The bistro is open until 10pm for cocktails or wine/beer. The menu items are well prepared and perfect portions. The lobby is comfortable and inviting! Highly recommend! read more

Beautiful and very clean hotel. Staff is very friendly. The hotel has a nice fitness room with treadmills, stationary bikes, ellipticals and a weight bench. The entrance for the fool is through the fitness room. Very nice relaxing outdoor setting with fire pit. The hotel is located across from an old mall and next to a movie theater. Free wifi is offered but no free breakfast. read more

This hotel has been open approximately 12 days. It's clean & quiet. I believe the word is getting out that it's open, but until that time there are a minimum number of guests. Which results in peace & quiet. They have a business center, standard. They have a touch screen tv on display I'd you need to find local eateries, flight times, etc. There is NO complimentary dinner or continental breakfast. They have a bar/deli area which is open from 5pm until 2am. They have your standard hot wings & pizza, but also have healthier fare, such as tuna sandwich, chicken Caesar salad and many other options for a price. There is no room service, but you can call down to the bar/deli and they'll prep your meal for you to pick up. To the side of the bar/deli there's 3 booths for you to relax and enjoy your meal/drink with desperate tv's you control. The gym has minimum free weights, no machine weights, treadmills, ellipticals & stationary bikes. They have a pool and hit tub, but there's no life guard, standard. The staff is courteous, helpful and attentive to your needs. The hotel is located next to the movie theater & behind the mall. read more

Rooms are small you will trip over your microwave entering in the room. The TV takes up 1/3 of the desk space Pulls out on top of the desk but can't see it because of the big ass dresser in the way cuts out half the screen. You will get a sore neck from viewing The grill outside does not work. And they don't have utensils or plates except the ones from the Bristo which they don't lend out. The mini fridge is as small as lunch box Couldn't even fit a 6 pack in it. Ok for a one night stay that's all. read more

Came here on a team-building Women in Leadership conference for my company. The outside of the place is sparkling clean, and as make your way up to the front doors, smooth jazz drifts softly from the overhead speakers. A little kiosk of travel info booklets and luggage carriers greets you just outside the main lobby. Just beyond the front desk to the left, a little market niche awaits you with a little variety of snacks and drinks available for purchase. Across the gorgeous and expansive lobby, sits their little Cafe of sorts, which is open first thing in the morning, and then again from 5pm-2am. The desk attendant then mentions that any breakfast would be "a la carte", but that they offer Starbucks coffee 24/7 for purchase. The room was spacious, but a little dim, and impeccably clean. Ours had a mini fold-out sofa, and a comfy chair next to a window overlooking the hotel's pool and fire pit area. A tiny coffee maker, mini fridge, and microwave were provided as well. SUPER cold air conditioning, a big plus for my roommate. In the bathroom, they had tiny vials of Paul Mitchell brand shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion. I found the room's water pressure to be a bit disappointing, and when I got out of the shower, my hair felt as though I hadn't rinsed all the conditioner out. Bed was comfy, and I slept like a rock. The next morning, I ordered a grande cappuccino, and it was a grave disappointment. Tasted like frothy milk splashed with a few ounces of weak coffee, so I went to get coffee at IHOP down the road instead, and ate there. Would recommend for a business traveler or someone looking for shoestring elegance and a gym without much substance. Not recommended for a traveling family, or people on a budget wanting to combine the American ideals of free continental breakfast and a good night's sleep. read more

Price and location were good and surprisingly, the bistro food was good and well portioned as well. As for the room, this is by far the dirtiest, lack of attention to detail and pathetic housekeeping Marriott I have ever stayed at. I will not book here again, even if it is the cheaper option over other hotels in the area. Recommend you book on the top floor because the noise of those above you is more like a cheap apartment than what should be in a high end motel. read more

Room 204: View of the cinema movie theater, the hotel shares the same parking area so you can definitely walk without breaking get a sweat King size bed super comfortable! Couch turns into a twin sized bed just ask the front desk for the extra bedding. Perfect for a single child. Shower, bathroom clean and roomy. Overall, the room felt clean, safe and cozy. Check-in: easy, friendly, efficient. No complimentary continental breakfast, you can buy breakfast from the mini Starbucks in the lobby. Although, theirs a very yummy bakery right down the street off the the main road-not walking distance but a 2 min drive. Mall is in walking g distance. Perfect overnighter with my hubby and 2.5 year old. Overall, very happy with the hotel. The pool was a bit cloudy, but we just skipped that option. The hot tub looked great. read more

I like the layout of the hotel and privacy/how quiet it can be. Plus the location is ideal. The staff at Starbucks are very polite and fast but front desk could have been better and sad this hotel didn't have an included breakfast feature. But nonetheless this is a good place. In Texas you get a lot of 4 star and below having bed bugs so this was pleasant that they were in fact clean. Stay here and you can't go wrong! read more

Love this hotel. Stayed here two weeks with my husband while on business. It's clean, quiet, and the staff is so nice. The front desk ladies (nikki and stephanie) are so sweet. Nikki loves holding my baby. She's so cute. The bistro ladies always make me and my baby smile. The lady who cleans my room (adela) is kind and does an awesome job. She cleaned my bathroom and swept my floor every day, but respectful and tried not to come during baby's nap time. The pool area is nice. The gym is clean with updated equipment. They have a guest laundry facility by the gym, but you have to pay $2 for the washer and $2 for the dryer. The mall is right across the street and the front desk girls can recommend a plethora of local restaurant favorites. Will definitely be staying here again. read more

We had booked our rooms a week before and when we arrived they told us they gave our rooms to someone else. They did relocate us to a different hotel (not a Marriott hotel) but it was a total downgrade. Since we travel a lot I will definitely not be looking to stay at any Marriott properties in the future. They have roaches in there lobby. They have rude mangers. I booked a room and they wouldn't let us stay because I was supposedly under age when I was over the age of 18 and they kicked us out when we were trying to find somewhere else to stay. A grandma named joe asked me where my parents were like I was 12 when I am over the age of 18. She rudely suggested why we're here without parents, assuming we were "underage" when we're all 18 and over. read more

Newer hotel. Very nice!! Our room was HUGE. We were in 220. I think it was or is bigger than any of the other rooms. Great decor! Staff very nice! Very clean! No issues. Wow is all I can say. This place was great! I was in town for my son and daughter in laws baby shower and I was treated like a queen here. When I first arrived they have me a welcome gift of bottled water and snack. I was starving. They also let me check I nearly so I could change after my long drive before the baby shower. The room was so nice and clean and very big. I was able to order a light dinner when I got back around 8 that evening. The lady behind the counter of both the front fest and the restaurant were great. Everyone was very friendly. This seems to be the newest hotel in Victoria. The price was great too. My family had a great 2 night stay. Stayed at the Courtyard after driving 900+ miles from Kansas. Staff was super friendly and helpful with trying to find something to do and where to go. Wish the rooms had a microwave and a freezer in the fridge. Having a baby and pumping was not able to freeze the milk and refreeze the cold pack. read more

Horrible service here. Stay far away! I stay at many courtyards across the country so I know what service to expect from them. I Was checked into a dirty room. There was a stain on the sheets. The bathroom counter had what looked to be a huge booger on it, the shower had an open soap and was still wet. For a newer hotel you would think they would be doing a better job at keeping it clean but they definitely are not. The general manager I believe her name was city or something weird like that told us the room wasn't dirty and refused to do anything about it. I was finally able to drag her out from the office after complaining to the front desk girl. (I could also overhear her talking bad about me while I was waiting for the front desk girl to get her from her office. It is only a few feet from the front desk to her office) She seems very lazy and obviously doesn't care about the guest. I was finally able to get a different room but only after threatening to call her boss. (Who hires these people!) The old lady Susie or Susan (I think that was her name) at the bar was extremely rude and our food came out tasting nothing like what it is at other courtyard Marriotts. She didn't use gloves to make the food and kept disappearing to the back kitchen so that we wouldn't see her doing it. I heard her telling a coworker (young girl) that the pans had not been changed since the last time she worked? Who says stuff like that in front of guests?? And what does that even mean?? Disgusting.. She also did not give us all of what we paid for. She kept going in and out to smoke and smoke was filling the lobby through the side door. We also could not enjoy our food as she was gossiping about every employee in the hotel the whole time to the co-worker. (The reason I was able to hear all of this is because they were all sitting at the back corner booth next to mine the whole time) I feel like I have worked there for a year. She had nothing positive to say about the GM, front desk, or anyone for that matter. All-in-all horrible service and place! Won't be back there again! read more

My mom and I stayed at this hotel over the Memorial Day weekend. The hotel was nice and clean and the staff was helpful. It started out like any other hotel stay until the morning we were going to checkout. My mom woke up not feeling well so we were trying to check out and head home early. I walked around looking for a cart to take our luggage out and couldn't find one. I ran into an employee who offered to bring one to my room for me. A few minutes later he came by and said there were no more available. He then did what nobody at any other hotel has done and offered to carry our belongings to the car for us. I found out his name is David and he's actually the maintenance man there. How many maintenance men at hotels are going to do that for you?! I would have given my stay 3 stars had it not been for David...5 stars it is! Thanks David! I hope your management team sees this and appreciates you! read more
