Stayed here for a quick overnight trip. The location is supreme right off the highway and the customer service is always attentive and at the desk. Upon entering atmosphere seems clean. They also have an inside pool which I have not seen in a while. We reserved a king size room, which was very decent in size with a work desk. The room was clean. The shower seems renovated the only thing that we had an issue with was the AC. It was very dusty, so allergies were out of control. Pretty thin walls, but not a loud stay. Beware there is a parking per night fee, which I did not understand as there is no security available but overall, we felt comfortable and safe. read more

Visited my parents here for the 2024 holidays from December 23-27 and loved the room, spacious, had a decent gym, awesome staff. Lan, the Asian lady who works the evening shift was amazing. The Hispanic cleaning staff is awesome. The only downside is Enrique, who claims to be the assistant manager, who is downright rude, angry, and miserable to several times I spoke with him. He has put the phone down on me and doesn't deserve to be working in an establishment where everyone else is bright and cheery. He is mean and an embarrassment to the service industry. read more

Follow your intuition! I unfortunately did not! & now I'm paying the price. March. 31. 2022 My 2019 E53 AMG was one of many (13 apparently!!) other vehicles vandalized on this property. My only, &!entire reasons for booking this hotel was for its inside pool, since my children wanted to swim & it wasn't the best day out, weather wise. There was only a few hotels in Tampa that had inside pools, & I regretfully picked this one. (Eye roll!) I clearly didn't read the reviews, nor did I look at photos... Which is a first, & rookie mistake for me! The moment I pulled up, I wanted to leave. There were so many red flags, from the outside alone! I wish I just ate the $300 & went elsewhere. The nice front desk woman said they couldn't find me & the manager wanted to speak with me but that didn't happen. Nor was anything outside of an apology, some tape, & plastic provided. We tried to stay here one day prior to the hurricane for evacuating and first of all we weren't even sure if this was a hotel because front sign shot out or someone ran into it and shattered it. The parking lot was already half flooded before the hurricane rain even started, homeless in the parking lot and zero done to keep the hotel updated or secure. Then we found out no backup generator, which was the main purpose of staying there. We left without checking in and asked for a refund since we had literally booked it 2 hours prior but were denied, so we ate the expense as there was no way we could stay there. Our car would have been damaged from flooding or broken into. I've never seen a Marriott hotel brand so run down. We stayed at a Hampton Inn down the street and very nice. read more

Nice location, stayed for only one night as I was attending a family event. Friendly and efficient staff, the associates at the Starbucks/Marketplace were super nice, friendly and efficient. Clean hotel, room itself in my opinion needs a little renovation. But the great service received makes up for it. Plenty of parking space. read more

I stayed here since all the nearby Hiltons were sold out. It's a nice hotel, clean and modern. My ground floor room was bug free - yay! There's Paul Mitchell shampoo and condition in the rooms. The in-house coffee shop sells Starbucks coffee and additional food items, so it's convenient. It can be slow, though, since there's usually only 1 person taking orders and making everything. Pros: -Large modern rooms -Paul Mitchell shampoo and conditioner -Thermostat driven AC/heater unit -Modern and comfortable lobby/dinning area -On premise café service Starbucks, breakfast, lunch and dinner -Small convenient store next to front desk that has beer, snacks, and toiletries Cons: -Slowest free internet connection!! One night, it was pretty useless since my connection kept dropping and taking 10 minutes to load a web page -No in-room safe The lower floor rooms have a walk out glass patio door. It's a courtyard. We all stay at them when we need to for all the same reasons. There's nothing special about this standard hotel with the regular mid grade amenities EXCEPT that all of the staff here are the most lovely people in the world. Their customer service program must be incredible because everyone went above and beyond to make our stay better, and everyone on our sports team had the same experience. I never felt so UNWELCOME at any hotel in my entire life! When we arrived, the Front Desk Clerk said we didn't have a reservation after she checked 3 times. It was booked through Priceline. She suggested we call Priceline or book a reservation at ANOTHER HOTEL! She finally found our reservation while I was on the phone with Priceline. Then she pointed to a sign stating that the hotel did not allow pets so we could NOT STAY THERE. She failed to point out the line below that read Service Dogs Welcome. My dog had a Service Dog Collar, Tag and I showed his Service Dog license. Finally she proceeded to check us in and I asked if we had a room with a balcony because that's what I paid for. She stated that we did not and "It was a PRIVILEGE to have a room with a balcony and YOU DON'T HAVE THAT PRIVILEGE"! If the reservation wasn't prepaid through Priceline and I hadn't spent $700 on concert tickets for that evening, I would have left! When we got to our room, the safety latch was broken; it appeared that someone had kicked the door in previously and broken it. When we returned from the concert, there were only 2 parking spaces in the back of the building. Shady looking people were hanging around the side and back doors of the hotel smoking marijuana! We were shocked because this PRIVILEGED HOTEL was supposed to be a BUSINESS HOTEL according to the unwelcoming front desk clerk. When we checked out, my husband forgot his Starbucks coffee cup and called 2 days in a row to see if it was found only to be told it wasn't. The third day, we had returned home from the Tampa area, my husband called to report his cup missing. The Manager conveniently found the cup and offered to mail it back, not advising us there would be a costly charge to us to do so. We also advised him of our horrible experience and he offered to compensate us by crediting our Marriott Bonvoy Account points equivalent to a free night stay. We were happy with his response and apology however, when we checked our points, he only added a minimal amount of points that don't amount to a cup of coffee or the cost of getting our coffee cup back! DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL BECAUSE YOU WILL BE EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED read more

This whole location has been upgraded over the past year. The rooms seem way more sound proof then they use to be so I no longer had issues hearing my neighbors snore. Nice big, clean rooms where the AC goes down under 60! Which is a huge plus to me. The beds are very comfortable with tons of pillow options. Nice fitness center that is open as is the pool. Great location. I encountered only very friendly and pleasant staff members. I'm not certain if they are doing room service because I leave the do not disturb sign my whole stay. Great price points. Operating at 55-60 percent capacity. The biggest rub for all courtyard locations are the small fridges. All is all great stay. Will stay here again. read more

Ants! Ants! Ants! Run! I know this is long, but here's an honest opinion of this hotel and customer service. Before you choose to book a room here, read this first. If the manager replies, know that it's a lie. First off, I checked in at 2am Saturday and got into my Queen Suite with Balcony (3rd floor) that was supposed to be about 298sqft come to find ants around the night stand as well as the desk table. I have videos and picture of the ants roaming around. So you can decide for yourself. So I go back down and tell the nice front desk girl that checked us in and showed her the video. So then she goes to see about transferring me to a different room on floor 2, but they're sold out of that room type so then I had to get downgraded to a 195sqft room with no balcony and no large pullout sofa. That room was okay and clean enough with no ants. After a few hours of rest on that Saturday, I went downstairs and talk to the front desk girl around 11am and she said she would talk to the manager and I would get a call to my room. I received No call. So come next day, Sunday, I go downstairs and same front desk girl and she said the manager left around 3pm yesterday, but there would be a manager after 5pm. So that evening, I see the young man in a suit and told him and he wasn't aware of the issue, but would talk to the other manager. Come Monday, I come down again, same girl again, but this time she chases the female manager that was leaving. She basically told the front desk person that I needed to call Priceline since I booked through a 3rd party. I called Priceline and was given a response by email that the hotel did not agree to any refund. So I called the hotel Tuesday afternoon when I flew back home and spoke to the General Manager who's in charge of the other managers and he said this is the first time he's hearing about this issue. Like wow!!! Employees don't communicate well here and so he puts me on hold to speak to the other manager. So he comes back and said there would be no refund since I was accommodated a room still. Even if it's not the same type of room, I still got one or else my booking would have been canceled and I would have been refunded. I would have taken the refund and go to Embassy Suites since that was my first choice. You best believe I will contact corporate to file a complaint about management here. read more

Not completely quiet with some hallway noise and some outside noise, plus every so often, the toilet would make a burping sound. No, it didn't back up and the water stayed clear but it did make noise. Very disconcerting when you're sitting on it. The rest of the room was clean and comfortable. The work desk had outlets and a comfortable light. The bed was comfortable. The room was serviced well. Yep, again Marriott put me in a room right next to the elevator on the second floor. I am a Platinum Premier Elite and while I don't expect an upgrade, I do expect to not be in the room right next to the elevator. I also have it in my Marriott Rewards profile to be on the higher floor and this Courtyard has three of them. I ended up staying only two nights. Mostly because the room rate went up 50% from Tuesday night to Wednesday night. So I went elsewhere. read more

Plusses: Front desk staff was great when I checked in early evening on 2 Aug. There was a system problem that was slowing the process down, but the woman at the desk was going out of her way to be professional, polite, and accommodating to all in line. The female working the bistro counter the next morning was 5-star! Minuses: Lighting along the road to the hotel--super dark at night. Inefficient parking. Exercise machines were broken and breakfast cost extra (which is amusing as the Fairfield that shares the parking lot has it for free, and is a cheaper stay). Overall, they did a great job here. Attentive to guest satisfaction clearly. Here for a few work days, and on day 1, my snooze was broken up around 10 a.m. by construction noise as they were doing repairs on my floor. I was a little cranky from jet lag after arriving at 2am. Granted , and as I mentioned it to the manager he gave me an immediate discount , opened the ( closed) coffee breakfast bar for me in the libby, and made everything feel right. The front desk person named LAN is so friendly and sweet and anticipates our needs she is a real asset to this location . Both Lan and Matthew help this weary traveler settle in comfortably. The only problem at the courtyard was I had nothing to complain about. Everything clean the rooms clean the bathrooms spotless refrigerator and air conditioning was already turned on when I checked it so I didn't walk into a steamy hot room. This property is a bigger wreck than Lindsay Lohan. We chose to stay here because the property was newly refurbished and in a semi close location to Busch Gardens as we were headed for Howl-O-Scream, which was amazing! I have stayed at several Marriott locations, and this was by far was the worst. The most important aspect when staying at a hotel I believe is "Customer Service". I don't think that this property understands the definition of that. In particular, there was a request made to the Front Desk where we had requested for the bed to be turned over. The male agent appeared very confused, and upon clarification from his coworker to the meaning of "turning down the bed" he replied with "WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE BED?", in a very powerful and startling tone! At this point, we had just let it go and moved on with our day. Another instance, was in the early evening where we had asked an agent a question in regards to hotel amenities. She replied with a one word answer, walked away, and moved on to her next task. Come to think of it... not once when we walked into the entrance doors of the lobby were we greeted. After going through our day, we finally returned to the hotel around 2AM. Night Auditior, Melissa was surprisingly very friendly, accommodating, and made a very good impression with us after a long day. Maybe some of their associates should take Guest Service 101 with her. Overall, this stay was truly disappointing. They received two "dots" simply because it was newly renovated, and Melissa gave a lasting impression with us.... This property really has potential... They just have a lot to learn when it comes to Customer Service. read more

Great staff! Awesome little Starbucks in there with very marginal food at a ridiculously high price. My room here was terrible! The a.c. leaked the first night I was here, I stayed a week. After reporting it after listening to it drop, and drip, and drip all night, I returned to find a note on the thermostat telling me to not touch the thermostat and it was never fixed. I am pretty sure my bed had bedbugs as I itched each night and am still itching. The elevator was slow and the stairs are at the ends of the hall so it makes no sense to walk that far down if you're on the second floor. I did find the staff extremely pleasant and approachable. I am a rewards member and devout Marriott customer. Reservation booked online using a discounted rate. Showed up around 10:30pm on March 17 after the Lightning/Canucks game and was told rudely and bluntly by Yusiff Belal that my credit card to guarantee the reservation was rejected. "We tried your card at 6pm and it did not go through so we gave your room away." I asked why a phone call was not made to me and, again, was told very bluntly and rudely that they do not do that. If this is the policy, I can somewhat understand. But at the same time, why ask for our contact information when making a reservation online? Travellers are arriving from all over the world, flying/driving incredibly long distances to show up in the middle of the night, only to have a rude front desk agent tell them their room was given away and that the hotel (and all other Marriott properties nearby) is full? I asked to see a copy of the cancellation made by them and he said he could not produce it. I even had another woman, a complete stranger, who was checking in at the same time as me and was hearing everything absolutely rip into Yusiff and this Marriott property for leaving a loyal customer stranded like this and for the poor service being shown. The undeniable perception is that my discounted room was bumped for a full-price paying customer. Brad Spurlock, General Manager, needs to ensure this never happens again to anyone. It's called the hospitality industry for a damn reason. I'm here to tell everyone who relies on Yelp how inhospitable the Courtyard Tampa Brandon was for my pregnant wife and myself. read more

Stayed at the Courtyard Tampa Brandon for a concert I was attending at the Midflorida Credit Union Amphitheatre. The lobby appeared to be newly renovated and the staff was friendly. The room was a standard room with all the necessities one might need for a night's stay away. The location was perfect in relation to the venue; it was just a $10 uber ride away. The lobby has a Starbucks for your morning coffee. I will stay again. read more

Very polite, attentive and willing to go the extra steps to wow a guest. Management was visible on the floors throughout the stay and consistently asking how the room and service they are providing was. Rooms were super clean and quiet. I had a small problem with my room but when notified the management team bent over backwards to resolve it and remedy the situation. I've stayed here several times and will do so again in the future. If you're specifically looking for an indoor pool, like we were, then book somewhere else because theirs was not open due to renovations. They do allow you to go over to another hotel across the parking lot to utilize their pool if you'd like. That hotel had cheaper rates at the time of our stay, and we might as well have booked there to begin with. And if you're running from a storm like we were, what's the point of an outdoor pool. According to staff, they are not obligated to disclose that the hotel is undergoing renovations or that there is no pool available. We had issues with our toilet in the room which maintenance was able to fix fairly quickly. Should you have any issues during your stay, be careful how you complain to them as you could come off "aggressive." God forbid you express your unhappiness to the manager on duty. While Hector remained professional, he lacked empathy and stated there was nothing he would do regarding this horrendous stay. Another front desk employee didn't seem to care about any complains we had during check out. Aside from the renovations you could clearly see happening, the room itself was aesthetically pleasing and clean. Location was good and near many restaurants and stores, but neither of those things are worth booking here. Dealing with staff alone, is more than enough to book elsewhere. Hotels.com did a much better job at rectifying the situation as Courtyard did nothing but take our money, send us on our way and could care less. read more

I can honestly say that I enjoyed everything about my visit here. Although I only stayed for one night, it was a very enjoyable stay. The check in process was easy and pleasant, and the hotel clerk even offered a cold beverage to take up to the room on the house. So friendly! The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. The only two things I noticed were that the outlets by the bathroom sink didn't work and I think the remote's batteries needed to be replaced. Either that or the remote didn't work. Those are very minor things that definitely aren't worth taking off a star. So 5 stars it is! Highly recommend this hotel! read more

We arrived later than we thought. The room was ready, check in was easy and the staff friendly. The little bistro offers a nice selections for a quick bite. Great Grandma had her mind set on a late breakfast. The staff could not have been nicer. We got easy directions to a perfect spot nearby. A few days after we returned home from our weekend away I realized I had misplaced my engagement ring. The last time I remembered seeing my ring was at the hotel. I called the hotel and started frantically looking at home. I was told no one had turned any forgotten items to the office. I was relieved very next day to found my ring. I was surprised when the Courtyard Marriott called that afternoon. I was happy to share the ring had been found. Five stars to the Tampa Brandon Courtyard Marriott. I'm very upset , my husband and myself are staying at this hotel for one week..We were giving a room that smelled like mold and mildew , I spoke with a manager by the name of Hector Hernandez he switched out the room but the next room smelled worse than the first and this time management was with us and agreed about the smell. Hector stated that the rooms has a bad smell because it has been raining here for the last 6 weeks .Thats was a poor excuse, I then asked was there any rooms that did not smell, his response was yes, we have a few room on the opposite side of the hotel but they were only king size rooms and that would be aadditional charge to get into those rooms. I'm not paying additional monies .Customer service here is terrible . I feel taken advantage of because I went through a third party and they already taken my money with no REFUND. read more

We evacuated here for Hurricane Irma. On day two they told us in the afternoon they decided to close and evacuate also (not in an evacuation zone). I asked how long do we have...they said 1 hour! Crazy. They provided no options or help to find a new place. Staff was not helpful at all. Fortunately we ended up at the Garden Hilton in North Florida which so far has been an amazing experience...the switch was a blessing in disguise. read more

They asked me to do a survey for the hotel, so I figured i would go ahead and post my comments here too. I consider the 3 stars adequate. All good really and nothing that would probably keep me from staying there again, although I do believe I would at least look elsewhere first. The people working there were all real nice. The bed was comfortable and the towels were clean. I really appreciate the Bistro and the lobby was very nice. I was put on the first floor, which is probably just one of those things I should be asked about first, mainly because having that sliding glass door that walks straight out to the parking lot was a little intimidating. There was a dead roach on my carpet floor, that remained there my entire stay. That doesn't really bother me that much since it is Florida, but kinda puts a little question as to how well they clean. All of this doesn't really matter considering the positives, although one thing that really does affect me is the internet. I'm on the first floor, right next to the lobby and the connection was horrible. I couldn't even be on the hotel wifi most of the time and had to use my hotspot. Also, the little rod that holds the toilet paper in the dispenser was gone and never replaced so the paper sat on top of the toilet. I'm not a real demanding person and if the bathroom and bed is clean, I am pretty happy. However, being that I do travel quite a bit, the real question becomes would I stay here again. The answer is yes, especially if the price is right, but . . . given another hotel in "my brands" of preference, with a similar price and vicinity, I personally would try elsewhere. read more
