We truly are thankful, and grateful for the professionalism the members of the company presented throughout the special day. We also must acknowledge that our wedding was not the easiest to cater due to it occurring during pandemic times. However, Dani (i.e., organizer) was able to effectively guide us through the process to ensure that we were able to have a safe wedding, but still have all the festivities/décor that we desired. Let's talk about the food, simply put, "it was absolutely terrific". From the appetizers (i.e., mac & cheese), to the dinner (i.e., stuffed chicken), and the grand finale of chocolate mouse; the food was made with pride and passion. Set our bias aside when we say that the food was the best we have ever had at any wedding. Chef, Louie promised us that we would have nothing to worry about when it came to the taste of the food come the wedding day, and he fulfilled this promise. We thank-you for keeping your word being a true genuine person who cares about their craft. Honestly, there are not many B&B provides such quality and heart-felt breakfast with this reasonable price. There are 3 guest rooms in this 1862-built house. All are well maintained and cleaned. The linen for the bedding is soft and good quality. The bed is comfortable. Most importantly, it has free wifi. For those who are allergic to cats, please note there are several very friendly and layback cats in the house. However, I guess they are all well trained because I did not see them wandering on the guest room floor once. We will come visit Grove Cottage B&B again this Summer :)

We drove down to Sandbanks for the day which took us all of 10 minutes. Then we did some wineries which were no more than 10-15 minutes away. The main strip of Picton is about a 3 min drive away with plenty of dinner spots available. Wellington is only 15 min away where there are more restaurants farmers markets etc. If you're a couple, I highly recommend asking for the room at the front (Queen bed, ensuite, large window at the foot of the bed). Very romantic and if the weather plays ball, waking up with that window open, birds chirping and the morning light pouring in is incredible. We will be back!!!

The rate for First Canada Inn was approximately $90/Night during the weekend of my stay. While it is looks a little run-down from the outside, the rooms are surprisingly clean. They have comfortable bed and pillows. The downside of my stay is that my room was on the 2nd floor and there were no elevators available. Had to carry my suitcase up the staircase. The Air Conditioning/Heat was noisy as well. Probably recommend bringing your own shampoo and bath wash because the complimentary weren't that good either. Again, the bright side to my stay was delicious breakfast that included waffle, muffins, bagels and more. Would definitely recommend this place if you are traveling into town because it is conveniently located next to the 401.

Plenty of parking and not too far from the dowtown area. On the down side, there are no TV's in the rooms and you are limited to what they decide to cook for breakfast. No option for cereal if you opt out of the cooked meal. They do put alot of effort into their breakfast, but their focus is very health oriented so don't expect to get bacon and eggs.
