He had to have surgery and stay in for a few days and well, he didn't want to come home! They are well cared for and loved by all the staff there. They use their name to make them feel at home. There never seems to be a full waiting room whenever I visit - I don't know whether this is because they have an exceptionally good appointment system or if I just tend to have quite late appointments but it does mean there aren't problems as a whole with animals trying to get at each other causing distress. It's a fairly new place to the area, taking over what used to be the Little Chef/Burger King by the by-pass. With that it is large, roomy and modern, not overly clinical and not terrifyingly silent like some vets. They have a number of vets here and you don't tend to wait very long, they really do care about the animals here. Sadly I know this all too well from experience when earlier this year we had to take a pet there to be put to sleep. But the fact that the vet herself cared meant a lot. I've been to other vets where it's just a job, they don't get attached, not even for a second. And though that's good for them it's not so great for the owners of the animals in pain. But here, here they care so much. The pet we bought in was just a young little hamster, but they treated her like she was the most important thing at that moment and tried their very best for her. Alas in the end there was nothing they could do, but the fact that they tried so hard and cared so much does still touch me to this day. This is a fantastic surgery, and long may it be here.

There are seperate sections for you to sit depending on what animal you have which I believe makes it a lot less stressful for the animal.
