Our package came with a free engagement shoot but since we already had our engagement shoot, we invited them to come a day early (only if they could) & capture our rehearsal. They didn't miss a beat - they were there during our rehearsal run-through at our venue and were able to get a lay of the land prior to the big day. After our rehearsal, it was golden hour so of course, Adam took a couple shots of my husband & I (took not even 10 min) & let me tell you, from the previews he sent me THAT night --- I was so blown away with how beautiful they turned out. He definitely has an eye for it! FYI - Our package also came with an additional photographer & videographer. So when it came to the day of, they introduced us to James (from StateFarm, lol) & Laura. This completed the DREAM TEAM! Cannot stress how amazing it was to work with these 4, A. MA. ZING! Being the Type-A bride that I was, I provided Mooncrest with a Shot List on request & they delivered on that. They made sure to get the shots we wanted & even some bonuses that we didn't think about. This is why we leave it up to the professionals :) They were professionals but it also felt like we were surrounded by friends. I know they probably get this all the time, but they were hella cool & tbh, if we lived closer - they'd be awesome to hangout with. We received our final edited photos right before Christmas so it served as an early Christmas present to finally see pictures from our wedding & WOW, they turned out so beautiful! From the edits to the stolen (candid) shots - AMAZING (using that word for the millionth time in this review). When we received our Teaser Film, they also provided a "Message from your guests" video, which was a complete surprise for us & a wonderful surprise at that. It was so cool to see our friends and families wishing us well, behind-the-scenes style. Such a great bonus! Once we received our full wedding video, they provided a Documentary Edit so that we can relive the moments in real time - First look, private vows, ceremony, & speeches. So, something to make note of - during the initial consultation --- my husband only had one request, he wanted to make sure all the speeches were recorded. So I am guessing this led to them providing the Documentary Edit & we are soooo thankful for this. It's something we can watch over & over again & relive the key moments. Our final wedding film took the cake! Adam & his edits, geeez louis! This man has got the eye and talent. His edits were impeccable & we couldn't have dreamed of a better way of capturing one of the most important days of our lives. From the songs he chose (which he used our friend's cover who performed during our cocktail hour) to the cuts/transitions -- *chef's freakin' kiss! The day of our wedding went by in a blur but the photos and film captured, we will forever cherish. Mooncrest helped us remember things that happened during the day that we don't even recall because it went by so fast. We would recommend them to anyone and everyone. The service was consistently excellent, and my longtime nail technician was a big reason I kept coming back. About a month ago, I received a call informing me that she had been "let go." She is incredibly talented, and I was genuinely disappointed to hear she was no longer there. Greentoes scheduled me with another technician, Mary, for my next appointment. While she did an acceptable job, the experience lacked the warmth and personal connection I've come to expect. For me, building rapport with clients is an important part of great customer service. Today, when I called to cancel my upcoming appointment, the person at the front desk was unexpectedly rude. That interaction was the final straw, so I asked that all of my future appointments be canceled. After nine years of loyalty, I'm sad that it has come to this. Letting go of an exceptional technician and following it with poor customer service has completely changed my impression of the salon. It's disappointing to leave, but I'll be taking my business elsewhere.

Katy was a blessing in disguise for my wedding and literally saved my wedding day along with the pictures. My husband and I had tried out a few larger vendors but it was personal enough. I felt like another number and that I wasnt special to them. When they looked at me it was like all they saw was money. I booked my makeup artist exactly 2 months before the wedding. On the Monday before the wedding my artist canceled on me and I almost had a panic attack. Not only was my makeup in the balance, my 7 bridesmaids along with my Mothers was as well. With a fast search i started looking again and only to find these vendors that seemed like I was nothing unique to them, like this wasnt my day or something. I came across Couture Makeup and read about Katy and right away I was speechless. It sounded like she knew exactly what she was capable of, which was beyond anything i have ever seen before. I am usually nervous the first time I meet people and given my wedding was 5 days away i was super nervous knowing I was meeting Katy just a few hours after I called her which she responded to on the first call. When i first met Katy I was taken away at how beautiful she was, and how she carried herself with her friendly outgoing personality and her "can do" attitude. The conversation went well and Katy completely understood the style I was looking for. I have always loved going into the MAC stores and getting a little make over done but when Katy told me she worked for MAC and was certified and could make me look like that the day I were to talk down the isle I was speechless. Now here comes my most nervous part, telling her how big my bridal party including my mother was. Katy responded without a hesitant answer and in her inspiring voice said that it wouldnt be a problem at all. We went over the contract and I booked her on the spot! The morning of the wedding was overwhelmingly amazing. Katy worked so well, and so admireable that I have never seen such a thing. She is not afraid to tell you what works and what doesnt work, in a polite way of course. When Katy was all done with me I was in shock of how great I looked. It was this all natural, everything I had ever wanted on my dream day to be, and thanks to Katy she made it come true. My mother was greatly impressed along with all of my friends and when my husband lifted my vail I had never seen such a look of awe in his eyes before. Thanks to Katy Davis and Couture Makeup, my wedding, my bridesmaids, and myself were saved but I would have gone through all of the stress again just to have ended up having her do my make up. Katy recently did my makeup as a bridesmaid in my brother's wedding. Not only is katy kind and easy to talk to, but she is professional, knowledgeable of product and skin types, and did a wonderful job of accentuating and/or hiding those unique facial features. I'm always nervous to have my makeup done in fear of not looking myself or looking overdone. Katy's work made me feel gorgeous yet natural, I felt every bit myself. Katy is the most talented artist I've ever worked with. I used to get my makeup done all the time at MAC and it was hit or miss each time, until I found Katy... Leah from Dreamcatcher did my makeup for a wedding. My summary is a lack of professionalism. I…read moredon't know if she was having an off day, but here is what happened: First, she used a stale / moldy / expired airbrush makeup bottle. It had clearly been past its prime, just from the smell alone, and also had separated on my face. I pointed out the smell. She refused to acknowledge that there was a possibility the makeup had gone bad for some time, and when she finally agreed (and only because her other makeup artist said she could smell the airbrush makeup from across the room), she did not remove the rancid makeup, but instead layered more things on top of it. Instead of owning the issue and fixing it, she doubled down, wasted time, and didn't correct her mistake. Next, my lashes were on entirely crooked. My eyeliner was also crooked and mismatched (one wing pointed up and one wing pointed down). I had asked for winged eyeliner, and I understand that not every person knows how to do winged eyeliner. However, if you are a makeup artist and can't do winged eyeliner, you should probably tell your client that so they can choose something else. I had to fix these myself afterwards. She also added a bunch of wax to my eyebrows which left a lot of residue and visible clumps. Then, she offered to redo my makeup with my own products. Obviously, we were now short on time due to the rancid makeup fiasco. A very cursory and patchy application of my own foundation that was patchy and streaky followed. I had to redo the entire thing after she left. She came back the next day and did better - but I also didn't ask for winged eyeliner and avoided the airbrush foundation. The foundation application (of my own foundation) was still streaky and unblended. My guess is that Leah is not able to do makeup well on clients with darker skin because she wasn't able to color match correctly for different skin tones and undertones, and the problems just flowed from there. Her instagram and website also tells the same story. My experience with Leah also made me feel bad, not just because of the makeup issues but because of her attitude. It felt like she was blaming me for her shortcomings, and that I had to apologize to her for not liking the disaster she put on my face. This review is specific to Leah, and not any of the other artists that she employs or contracts out with. They were professional and delivered excellent work.

I had a custom-made Hawaiian floral crown that we hadn't had for the bridal glam trial a month before. Sammy installed it like a pro and it looked amazing!
