I was shocked and frustrated by Coverage Credit Union's new online banking policy. You can no longer access your online account at all unless you agree to go completely paperless. There is no option to keep paper statements and still log in online. I help my elderly parents manage their finances. They are not comfortable navigating websites on their own, but they do rely on paper statements each month to balance their accounts. At the same time, waiting a full month to see new deposits (like Social Security) makes it unnecessarily difficult to help them stay on top of their finances. When I went into the branch to check their account online, I was told the only way to proceed was to enroll in paperless statements. When I called to confirm, the call center flatly said yes -- if you don't go paperless, you lose online access entirely. Your only options are to call the call center with questions or wait for the paper statement to arrive. This policy feels outdated, inflexible, and completely unfriendly to seniors and caregivers. It should be our choice how we receive statements, not a requirement tied to basic account access. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere more modern and customer-focused. Chase, for example, allows both online access and paper statements with no issue. Much easier to work with. Very disappointed in Coverage Credit Union. read more

I have read so many good and bad comments about Co Vantage banking just like any other bank but there really isn't any bank like Co Vantage bank. See I am divorced and I live alone so since I found out  I have severe medical condition and I found out I could easily pass away at any time I didn't know what I am going to tell people at Co Vantage because my personal and business accounts are with them, I kept wondering what am I going to say, how do I even talk about this. I was thinking it was going to be a very stressful experience, but  I sat down with ( KYLE) and told him what was going on. To my surprise he not only was he extremely professional and very patient and caring. Kyle walked me through the process of signing papers just in case I do pass away. I was amazed how he was so caring and just listening to all my concerns. See I have lived in several states and had banking accounts with several banks, but I can honestly say there really is no place like Co Vantage, 4 times when I was in great need Co Vantage over and over again has been there for me. I honestly don't know who runs   Co Vantage, but I can't all of staff enough for your patience, kindness and just being there to help me with all my financial questions and concerns. CoVantage has been super helpful in so many areas. They offer a debt counseling service that helps immensely. They are willing to sit down and develop a plan to get your credit in order and offer start up loans for young people to establish credit. Bait and switch loan tactics, severely understaffed, lack of communications between staff members and customers. I was "pre-approved" for my truck purchase with VIN # and sales contract provided directly to loan manager...went in to Weston, WI location and was informed my rate would almost TRIPLE from 3.69% to 9.99% due to my truck having a salvage title; clearly written on sales contract that the truck had a salvage title! Incompetence, poor credit policies, lack of communications or outright fraud and bait and switch? I saved money and found a fantastic team of financial professionals at Brokaw who gave me a rate of 3.39% for my tier 1 credit! In the past few years, customer service has gone downhill. I have been a member of this Credit Union for 62 yrs and I have never received such shoddy service and poor customer service relations as I have in the past 5 years. When I call to discuss an issue with my account, I am met with rude, unhelpful, dismissive dialog instead of focusing on resolving the issue. I will be closing my account in the near future. As a person with many years experience in the customer service field, I find the rude, overtalking, dismissive attitude and behavior unacceptable and unprofessional. Just because I am 62 yrs old does not prove I've "forgotten" how I have managed my money or what I have paid or not paid from my account. read more

We recently moved two vehicle loans to CVCU. We'd had a checking and savings account for a while, but were really impressed with the loans there.
