I own the equipment and currently have service with Cove. I purchased my equipment in March of 2021. At the time, they were offering a greatdeal to First Responders and Military so I chose to go with Cove. Hence, this is why I have chosen to give Cove one last chance to rectify the ongoing problems I have been having with my system. From the start, my system has been tripping false alarms. Since I've had my alarm, ten times it has had false alarms. Four of those false alarms the police were called. Two of those times the police were sent to my location to verify that I was OK, and not under any duress or that I had been kidnapped. Both times, I was working. One of those times I was at a training meeting. Talk about embarrassing when three police cruisers and five police officers show up! Now mind you, in the town I live in, if the police show up for a false alarm after the second time, you are to be charged $150. Luckily for me, the officers have been very kind. However. There is more to this story. Cove has numbers attached to my account that DO NOT belong to me. So, when the police are called, they call the numbers attached to my account to look for me because the monitoring company has provided those numbers to them. I NEVER gave Cove ANY other numbers to attach to my account. I'm am the only one on my account. So, these people getting contacted in a different time zone (three hours difference, same numbers every time) are completely pissed of in plain English. And, I don't blame them when this is happening to them at 10pm-1am. So, now at this point, the police have notified me that these people are at the point where they want to file a police report against me because of the harassing phone calls. Also, when I spoke to the police and they were verifying information, they named a monitoring company that is NOT associated with Cove. They stated that, that is the monitoring company that contacted them. I was baffled because that is NOT the company that is listed on my monitoring company certificate. The other problem I have had with Cove is, with all these alarms, I rarely get a text message nor a phone call when an alarm is tripped. I never got a text or phone call when the police were called. Why is that? With all the phone calls I've never received the same answer twice. Now to the conclusion of what Cove has done to rectify the problem, or so they say. This is after me calling, and yes, pretty much at my wits end by now after about ten or more phone calls. After speaking with the police after this last alarm, the officer said it was tripped by a Life Alert Remote. I told Cove this. Cove said "no" it was a zoning issue. Whatever! I just said I'm tired of all of this. Send me a new panel, give me my money back for everything I spent on all if the equipment and cancel my service or gave a tech come out and fix it. That's it. Those are your options! I was out on hold for awhile and then told I would be sent a new panel and then given one month free of service for my trouble. Today I received my new panel. I told him the representative to reset all of my zones, as instructed by the last representative. Now, after doing research, I understand that Cove is a fairly new company and new companies have their quirks when it comes to technology. However, you should never have quirks when it comes to customer service. Don't lie and BS your customers. 100% customer satisfaction should be their top priority. They shouldn't have dropped the ball the first time I called. Definitely not by the tenth phone call! So, buyer beware! Check out the reviews. The system has its quirks and customer service is definitely not up to par. But, if you're wanting to save money and you're on a budget, Cove is the way to go. Hope this review helps. read more
