I've personally gone in dresses with my hair done nice as well as shorts, flip flops, and a messy bun. I was just as welcome either way. This church holds amazing events for the community around holidays such as Easter and Christmas. My favorite is the snow machine at Christmas. Nothing like a little snow in Florida for Jesus' birthday! There's always free food, games for the kids...there was even an electronic shark to ride one time (think bull riding). It's always fun & a blessing to many when these folks have a get together. Within the last few weeks they've added a Saturday night service! Starting at 6pm Saturdays, in person and online, the same service you'll see at both Sunday morning services (9am and 11am) so there are more than enough options! Pastor Jason is a down to earth, honest, man of God who preaches the Bible. That's it, that's all, just the Bible. If it's not in that book he's not preaching on it. And I've never been to a church where members are so highly encouraged to read their own Bibles! "Read your Bible!" I've heard it hundreds of times at this church, but can't honestly recall it being stated that simply and clearly at any other church. And that's Pastor Jason's gift - he preaches the Word of God simply and clearly with a passion for Jesus and a love for people that is exactly what you'd pray to find it a pastor. Appears to be non-denominational and very 'come as you are' - you'll see folks in their Sunday best and others in shorts and flip flops. The music is modern and actually quite good. No fire and brimstone, but the pastor (Jason) is animated and definitely passionate about God and the word. In other words, he's a captivating presenter without the 'holier than thou' attitude you find in so many churches these days. They believe that tithing is between you and God, so they don't pass offering plates or beg you to contribute. Instead, there are offering boxes at the exits and they have modern ways to give (by text, online, etc). They believe that children can be 'dedicated', but baptism is a choice a person makes personally once they're old enough to make up their own minds. Regardless of what kind of church you are used to, this one seems very welcoming and like it has its heart in the right place. There are 2 services on Sunday, and they have Sunday School, which they call Journey Classes. It's a large church, but not overplayed like some of those megachurches. They apparently also have a live web broadcast for those cannot attend in person. Hope that helps!

There were all types of booths selling everything from wreaths to jewelry, food and all types of arts and crafts, scented soaps, you name it, they had it. It was a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. I went to Mass afterwards and it was very nice. Its always nice to have a welcoming parish close to home.

I arrived for the 10:30 AM Sunday Mass. When I walked towards the entrance, I heard a bell ringing,…read morebut the bell in the bell tower was not ringing. Instead they had speakers next to the bell that played sounds of a bell ringing, and that ended up being fairly prophetic of the service to come. When I visited a Lutheran and Episcopalian church, they handed you little pamphlets explaining the liturgy so newcomers could follow along and understand what's going on. That did not happen here. This was my first time ever in a Mass, and there was no explanation of the liturgy, not even on the projector. When everyone did the sign of the cross, I had no idea that was what happened. After the lector finished the scripture reading and said "The word of the Lord," I had nothing telling me to respond with "Praise be to God." I am sure any other newcomer to Roman Catholicism or a Mass will feel the same. The songs from the hymnal were alright. A contemporary worship band, guitars, drum, violin, etc., accompanied the hymns. Fairly standard for the post-Tredentine Novus Ordo Mass, but not at all traditional. The rest of the service was quite good. The sermon was Biblically grounded and the message good. I would not go here if I were after a traditional church service.

They are talking so loudly in church before mass, it is like social hour, very very loud, so if someone wants to come to pray, it is impossible, so much talk and chitchat. No respect for silence and prayer and people. The priests here really needs to tell his parishioners that there is no talking within church as it is a place of reverence and prayer, and silence needs to be maintained. All the loud talkers should really stay outside and talk and maintain silence within the inside of the church, it is complete disrespect for the Lord and prayer time of all people. The music here is nice. The priests and deacons seem nice. It is a decent church. The big problem here is the social hour loud talking before and after mass, it is just too loud, all the old seniors are talking so loudly you cannot pray, they need to maintain silence for prayer here better. The Catholic faith, Jesus, and the Bible are what is most important and what I love about church the most.
