The store is well known in Sheffield and further afield, and its reputation speaks for itself.It's won quite a few high profile awards, and has been in Sheffield since 2000. There is also an online store that I have reviewed separately, but it quite useful as new brands get added right away, allowing me to check it before I go into town to visit the store. A cut above the rest really, and I end up going in far too often and spending too much!

The shop were promoting its 'official' opening with a ear wax blasting of music ( if that's what you can call it ) The small interior hasn't changed much but the staff and goods certainly have. Gone are the fashionable, designer-wear stock and in with a more 'urban' mish-mash of tat. The staff are less than professional and look like they could do with a few lessons in dress code and etiquette. Limeys was a store where you could buy dressy, modern, stylish clothing and the staff were polite and helpful. Unfortunately the takeover by Cruise hasn't included the takeover of class!

And I am always always tempted by the big Alessi range that they have - my kitchen has never looked so stylish! They also stock some quite lovely lotions and potions but they're all rather pricey. For me, one thing I hate about TKMaxx is that they tend to resemble a jumble sale, mainly of tatt, but this branch which surprisingly hasn't been reviewed since Qype days eleven years ago is an example for stores in that sense, that becoming more modern, and spacious of course increases customer satisfaction and the overall experience. I didn't find much staff around the shop floor, which was a shame. They had two sets of dressing rooms, I presume for men and women which was handy. The selection was pretty much average for a store of its' size, the location is in Sheffield city centre close to Waterstones in Orchard Square is good too. Pretty much average clothing store, albeit it is one of the best TKMaxx stores I have visited. 3*

Possibly the tallest TK Maxx I've ever been in, this is over several floors. There's a big atrium…read morein the middle which takes up a lot of space so unfortunately there isn't as much of the good stuff in there as I'd like. Some of the departments feel very claustrophobic and crammed in, whereas other parts feel quite spacious near the atrium. There are several places to pay which is good as it gets really busy and crowded. There are great bargains to be had if you can be bothered to spend the time to look for them.

I did struggle to find a staff member on the shop floor, which also did make it difficult to get around the store, combined with a lack of a store plan or signage. Eventually, when I did find a staff member, he seemed less than impressed with my search for the exit (I was trying to find the car park). The security guard also seemed a little rude, he seemed more interested in trying to intimidate customers than anything else. The store was fairly modern and had a good selection of brands, slightly more premium than other stores inside the Frasers Group, I do think for a brand selling many upmarket products, with prices to match, the in-store pick-up option should be much more straight-forward, it seems bonkers to have a delivery fee of £6.99, especially for picking up an item in-store, even one that is stocked there anyway. If you spend over £200, you do get a £20 voucher, but this can only be spent in-store on a future purchase... A fairly large and modern store, with some good products, however many parts of the store do not match the premium status of their products, which is a shame. 3*

The suits my husband have had from here have all been great, they do a wide range of size and offer other clothing too. The staff are also friendly too and were really helpful. highly recommended.

But they also do other stuff from the Seventies, e.g. flared trousers, leather jackets, wigs, nose glasses and other party attire. The staff is always very friendly, too.
